You should be able to use the WebUrlMapPlugin to create a URL that does what you need.

Hi,
I have created on windows service to fetch sharepoint list ad update the list items.
when i run this service in sharepoint server(where the sharepoint site is hosted),it is working fine. If i run the same service in another machine(sharepoint installed in this machine also). it is giving the below error

I have pointed .net framework to 3.5 version and target palform as Any CPU. Please suggest meHi mallela1,
I also had similar issue couple of months back when I was trying to access a remote URL from a Windows service when the site does not exists in the server where service resides.
You cannot access a remote url (even though it is SharePoint server and also in same network ) from server object model.
SPSite can look in the current server only. here what is happening is SPSite will look for this in the current server DB and it is not finding this errror.
So please dont use ServerObject model for accessing remote sites. You can use Client Object model for the code /requirement you have stated above.
I wasted lot of time in finding a work around to make to work. It did not. So look for other options.

Web Dynpro Generated Folders in the DTR perspective
hi,
In the DTR perpective I can see that the comp folder of my DC has Web Dynpro Generated Folders like genwdp, gen_mci, gen_ddic. Please see the [screenshot|http://learnsaponline.blogspot.com/2011/11/web-dynpro-generated-folders-in-dtr.html]. This is because I had added _comp folder manually to DTR by right clicking on it and selected the Add->Subtree option.
Is it safe to remove all these folders manually from the DTR. I can do this by going to DTR perspective and right clicking on each of these folders and saying delete.
With these folders in the DTR, the DC created from the DC perspective appears as broken DC in Web Dynpro perspective as all these web dynpro generated files are read-only(may be they were readonly when I had checked in _comp manually)
Please advise.

then created an applications and just deployed so that i can see the" Hello World" deployed ont the browser but there was an error:

if you can help me it would be gr8. even though i cannot create a WDJ project standalone but cant i create a WDJ project in DC (for custom application) , am i doing something wrong during running the creation wizard??

I am a little perplexed about something. I have a MS 2008R2 domain, with windows 7 clients and we are switching from log-in scripts to using the GPO preference to map folders. The GPO is build with multiple OU's and different GPO's per OU specifying
which mapped folders the users in that OU get. One problem keeps popping up though. If i move a user from one OU to another OU, the original mapped folders will still show up. i.e. if OU-A maps folders to R, S, and T, and I move a
user to OU-B that only Maps S & T, R still shows up. How do i make it not be as persistent? I do not have the reconnect checkbox checked.
DWMAre you using (C)reate, (R)eplace, (U)pdate, or (D)elete ?

URL Mapping for packaged JSP's in web.xml file

I am using weblogic6.0sp2 enterprise edition.I have my JSP's in package structure.
Suppose my login.jsp is in package com.advice.document. So for URL mapping in
web.xml what should be given so that by giving that my JSP runs. I have tried
many options but not got success.
Here is my web.xml file..

Error Code 0x82bc1095 trying to map folders in Address Book synching with MS Outlook 2003 SP3t
Help please. My BB Curve 8900 OS v5 has suddenly stopped synchronising with my MS Outlook 2003 SP3. It gets as far as address book then stops, giving error message " One or more configured folders is not availablr. Update mapping field and try again". Configuring my organiser, when I click on a tab I get another message saying "No available Message stores". I click on OK and get the tabbed page opern but the mapping folders field is empty and greyed out.
If I click on Map Fields, I get another error message "Error encountered. Error code 0x82bc1095"
No synchronisation takes place at all.
I am far from technically minded, say about one step above being a Luddite. Can anyone please advise me?Thanks for your suggestion, but things have moved since then. I tried swapping my mapisvc by changing the extension to 'old' and running the repair, but this did not recreate a mapisvc.inf file, so I changed the extension back to inf. I also uninstalled Outlook Connector as other threads have suggested.
However another thread suggested resetting the organiser using the reset settings button. I did this, but the DTM will not now let me set up synchronisation with my Outlook. Outlook is shown as an option, along with Yahoo and ASCII.
It just lets me go through the process but does not produce a tick in the appropriate box at the end.
I did tell it to synch with Yahoo to see if it would take and it does, but when I try to change it to Outlook it does not register the change (leaving it as Yahoo). I have to select 'none' to clear the tick.
You can probably tell that I'm useless at this sort of thing and I'm getting very frustrated with the whole thing. I've had numerous problems ever since I upgraded the device software. I think that if I ever get this working again, I will not do anything else.

Local testing server root and web url
I would like to know if I have correctly set up my local testing server for the root folders. Very new to this.
Local site folder is at C:\xampp\htdocs\NIF\.
Test server folder is C:\xampp\htdocs\NIF\
Web URL is http://localhost/NIF/
Links are relative to document.
In case it matters, site is using ZenPhoto gallery.
I can see my index page's dynamic content in LiveView, but I'm not sure if I have the root paths correct.
Root of the online website is at http://natureinfocus.com/ with a gallery at http://natureinfocus.com/galleries
Currently an address in DW shows http://localhost/nif/galleries/ where the actual website would show http://natureinfocus.com/galleries/
I've put testing site root in a subfolder since I may have several sites.
Do I have this set up correctly or do I need to change soemthig since I've put the root in a subfolder?
Also wasn't sure if links should be set instead to relative to document or site root?
Thanks for any help.Since I have Windows 7 64 bit system., I get the usual error message about running this program only from my XAMPP directory (which everyone says to not worry about). MySQL service starts ok. Text in the windows says Apache started, but the "Start" button doesn't change to Stop and Admin button is grayed out.

I As oracle mapviewer Chapter 8 (Oracle Maps) says generating our own Web based mapping application we are trying to generate our own maps for our own data contains in our layers like example boundary lines and roads and etc. and we are following complete example as described in Oracle Mapviewer Document Chapter 8.
Before this step we tried with demo data downloaded from OTN mvdemo. And we downloaded latest demo today itself from the OTN and imported into our database schema called mvdemo. And we copied all three jar files mvclient and mvconnection and mvpalette into our jdeveloper .
II. We created a jsp to execute the following code from oracle mapviewer chapter 8 documents

KabeerI currently use parameters, and they are passed from the form to the report. Report is then generated based on a function returning ‘strongly typed’ cursor. The ‘strongly typed’ cursor in my case returns a record consisting of an orderly collection of fields.
This collection of fields is returned by another function that relies on the IF … THEN logic.
However, the number of IF ... THEN statements is quite large (currently 64 covering all possible combinations of 6 parameters available in the form).
I would like to avoid the large number of IF … THEN statements, and hope that there is a way of passing a string to a query, where the Dynamic SQL would in Select close and Where close reflect parameters passed by the form.
In addition to this I would like to avoid creating and populating a table or a view dedicated to the report, because this may lead to a conflict in case of multiple users concurrently generating reports with different choice of parameters.

URL Mapping not working inside MOSS
hi,
I want to achieve broken URL redirection in old web application developed in MOSS.
For this purpose, i have to use URL mapping inside web.config -
For Example -

I have checked that '/subsite/Pages/Home.aspx' url is not broken but still getting 404 exception.
Similar tag is working under dev/local environment but not working in the production,

Having problems accessing SSRS on a new commissioned SQL server. In the "Web Service URL" page of the "Reporting Services Configuration Manager", I'm clicking on the link next to the label "Report Server Web Urls". I'm
prompted for a domain username/password, none of which appear to work - the credentials box just keeps reappearing.
I know these credentials are OK as one of them is my own domain username/password.
There is nothing around this time in the event log or the SQL server log(s), however there are a number of these much earlier on:
Login failed for user '***\*****'. Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error. Check for previous errors. [CLIENT: <local machine>]
I have since rebooted the server and tried again, same result but there is nothing of value in the logfile
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles
Or in the logfiles available from SSMS.

State 11 corresponds to “Valid login but server access failure”, which means that SQL Server was able to authenticate you, but weren't able to validate with the underlying Windows permissions. It could be that the Windows login has no profile or that permissions
could not be checked due to UAC. To troubleshoot the problem, please refer to the following steps:
If the login is directly mapped to the list of available logins in the SQL instance, then check if the SID of the login matches the SID of the Windows Login.
Turn off UAC or running SSMS as administrator.

Web URL application in Dynamic Navigation
Hello all,
in the dynamic navigation window I run an URL iview with HTML application with javascript.
I receive in the dynamic navigation window an EPCF event with EPCMPROXY calls.
After I receive the event I would like to navigate within the dynamic navigation iview to another page of the HTML application. When I use web URLs and form.submit of course the EPCF framework is not loaded with the HTML page and I cannot react to events anymore. Is there at all any solution to this problem?

The command window for MDS should stay.
I had jdk compatibility issue, so thats why I suggested to check on jdk.
I'm not sure what version will be compatibile with MDS 4.1.4.

I have a webapp and the welcome file is:
http://localhost:7001/LAM/login.jsp.
All of the posts and gets are sent to a single servlet
that controls the flow to and from jsp pages.
My co-workers and I would like to be able so something like:
http://localhost:7001/LAM/anyjsp.jsp?arg=arg&arg2=arg etc.
or http://localhost:7001/LAM/jsp/anyjsp.jsp?arg=arg&arg2=arg etc.
so we can pass args in and out of the pages from the browsers
address input rather than going through the app to get to a certain jsp page and
submitting the arguments. The jsp files are in the weblogic/webapp/jsp directory
and the servlet is in the
weblogic/web-inf/classes directory. The servlet is defined and mapped in the web.xml
file. We can't get the url in the address window to go to a given jsp page. What
do I need to do to get around this or what do I need to configure to set this
up?

Hi,
We can give same url mapping to both Servlets but we can access the servlet which is entered first in web.xml because whenever we send a request to the webserver then webserver look at the elements in web.xml file one by one.
When it finds the corresponding url mapping then immediately sends the response to the client.The same url mapping for the next element will be ignored.

I have noticed there are many posts from you on easyDMS (starting from u201C what are the drawbacks.etc etc).looks like you are facing some issues in implementing the easyDMS. but that also shows that you have not gone through the proper documentation which is available with the installation of easydms in pdf formats..
you can first go through the documents carefully (step by step approach)..once you do it, you will get a very clear picture of what is easydms and how it works..after that in case you get some specific issues you can always post them in SDN..
Sometimes investing some time to learn a product will provide you more insights about product..by QnA session you wont be able to know all the features of easydms (or for any other product in general).
Plz take is in a positive way..we have experts in SDN who can help but even god helps those who help themselves

i am very new to servlet technolgy using weblogic 8.1 server. i want to know that can i provide same url mapping to two diffrent servlet files.if yes then how could i run files seperatly - i want to know that what should i pass in the address bar.

thanx for any answerYou can not map two servlets to the same url because the servlet container will just send the request to the first url mapping it can match. What you can do is map one servlet that will check the request for a parameter that flags the request and if it finds it will forward the request to the next servlet.

Using the latest ORDS (2.0.7) - when using settings to setup multiple databases, I have noticed that the the "URL Mapping" rule will not be picked up if the "Name" of the connection is not all lower case.
The "Routing Rule" can be mixed case, but the "Name" of the rule can not.
I found this to be an odd behavior.
Has anyone else come across this?
