WebCache in clustered env gives Blank Page with Http error code 508

Hi All,
I have Oracle webcache in a clustered mode ,which is acting as a loadbalancer for the Oracle Application Server.
The Oracle Application Server is hosting custom j2ee application .
Scenario 1:
Only one Node of WebCache is Up
If i try to access the web Application through Browser, then the page is displayed successfully.
Scenario 2:
Both the WebCache Nodes are up and Running
Problem statement:
If i try to access the web Application through Browser, then it gives me blank page and HttpError Code 508 in background.
The Problem what seems to me is the session persistence problem.
As far as i know,
In a cluster environment, developers must be aware that the HTTP session can run in multiple JVMs. The session attributes should be kept consistent in each JVM. Otherwise, the same input may cause different results when the application runs on different nodes because the user-related data is inconsistent in these two nodes.
The precondition is that all shared attributes must be serialized and deserialized. When you put a Java object into a session and want it shared across all nodes, declare this Java object as a serializable interface
I want to know, is my understanding correct and code is causing the problem and needs to be checked in the source code of application
or there is any configuration missing on WebCache?
I would appriciate any pointers.

TO confirm this, did you try to run anypage that doesnt contain a session object? and see if you can use the pages?
If so work on making your application clusterizable.
Also why dont you try to create VirtualHost and register them into WebCache so it will get this request and attend them

Blank page with 500 error

Hi there.
I have application, where is standalone java backend (with spring) and frontend (with spring MVC and RMI) - portlet deployed on PS6 on SJAS8 (ES2005Q1).
Using Access Manager for usermanagment.
Users can be active or expired - defined in database (via backend), both can logged to application, but if is user expired, he cant do some stuff.
So, here is problem. Active user can login correctly.
Expired user cant. After login (successfully logged to access manager) portlet show only blank page (without any character) and response http code is 500 (internal server error).
And nothing is logged in server.log, only on server access log is 500. So if is not logged any exception, is imho some error on portal server/application server..
Any gues where can be that insect (bug)? :)

I see that TopLinkServlet refers to the "oracle.toplink.webclient.control.TopLinkServlet" class file which is not available in the application jar. could this be the issue ?
how do i get these class files.
when we run the ant on webclient downloaded from the oracle website, these class files are not compiled.

All of a sudden I can't print anything on my macbook. I am directly connected to a printer where i had printed before now if I hit print it just gives me blank pages with websites header? any ideas what went wrong?

I just started having issues printing with my macbook when before I had no problem. same printer, nothing has changed. when I try to print it just prints me blank pages with internet headers even WHEN i am not printing off the internet, simply pdf documents. any idea what I am doing wrong or what changed?

Welcome to the Support Communities!
The first thing I would suggest is to shut down your computer and turn off your printer. Then do the reverse -- turn the printer on first, then your computer. If the issue still persists:
Check to make sure there are no jobs waiting to be printed. (Apple Menu > System Preferences > Printers & Scanners)

It's the 1st version of Pages I've had on my computer.
Can't delete them as they scroll through them at a rapid pace. The longer I've had the problem the more blank pages it scrolls through.

Can you get back to the home page? If so, double click on the Home button and a row of recent Apps will line up along the bottom of the screen. Scroll across and look for the Mail icon. Press and hold on it until it starts to wiggle. A red minus sign should appear on each icon. Press the minus sign on the Mail App to remove it from the list of recent Apps. This will stop it from running in the background.
If you can not get back to the home page, try to reboot the iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad should restart in a couple of minutes.

Keeps outputting a blank page, with creases in the paper (about the middle of page), before it prints the intended page.
This happens at random, but quite often. We have been using this printer for years without any issues. This has been happening for about the last few weeks.

I need to create a blank page with a button. When the button is pressed a process is run.
I created a blank page, can create a process, but does not allow creation of a button.
Any ideas.

I wonder if you have created a region on your blank page? Without a region you can't create a button. You may use a template for your region without title and border so your regions is invisible for the user.

I know we already had this feature, but it was through a modification, not an official feature. It is now an official feature and it is implemented quite well in my opinion. Also new - you can now modify the title/subject of threads that you posted right from the forum display - just click and hold on the link to the thread, and it'll change to a textbox.
