Problem:
I can't see WebDynpro Native library in LiveCycle.
I see for example WebDynproActiveX library but not WebDynpro Native : (
How to enable WebDynpro Native library ?

  • Native library NOT thread safe - how to use it via JNI?

    Hello,
has anybody ever tried to use a native library from JNI, when the library is not thread safe?
The library (Windows DLL) was up to now used in an MFC App and thus was only used by one user - that meant one thread - at a time.
Now we would like to use the library like a "server": many Java clients connect the same time to the library via JNI. That would mean each client makes its calls to the library in its own thread. Because the library is not thread safe, this would cause problems.
Now we discussed to load the library several times - separately for each client (for each thread).
Is this possible at all? How can we do that?
And do you think we can solve the problem in this way?
Are there other ways to use the library, though it is not thread safe?
    Any ideas welcome.
Thanks for any contributions to the discussion, Ina

Now we want many Java clients.
That would mean each client makes its calls
to the library in its own thread. Because the library
is not thread safe, this would cause problems.Right. And therefore you have to encapsulate the DLL behind a properly synchronized interface class.
Now the details of how you have to do that depends: (a) does the DLL contain state information other than TLS? (b) do you know which methods are not thread-safe?
Depending on (a), (b) two extremes are both possible:
One extreme would be to get an instance of the interface to the DLL from a factory method you'll have to write, where the factory method will block until it can give you "the DLL". Every client thread would obtain "the DLL", then use it, then release it. That would make the whole thing a "client-driven" "dedicated" server. If a client forgets to release the DLL, everybody else is going to be locked out. :-(
The other extreme would be just to mirror the DLL methods, and mark the relevant ones as synchronized. That should be doable if (a) is false, and (b) is true.

And do you think we can solve the problem in this
way?The DLL is going to be mapped into the process address space on first usage. More Java threads just means adding more references to the same DLL instance.
That would not result in thread-safe behavior.

  • NOT WORKING: Putting a jar file requiring native library in bootclasspath

    Hi,
I put my own jar file into the bootclasspath like this:
    java -Xbootclasspath/p:myboot.jar TestClass
Some classes in the jar require a native library. For JVM 1.3 on Solaris, I put the native library in $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/sparc and everything works just fine.
However, when I try the same thing on JVM1.4, I got the following error when my class containing the native methods is called:
Failed to load the native library: myboot_native
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no myboot_native in java.library.path
I tried to put that native library in several different directories in jre/lib but still had no luck.
Is there anybody know the solution? Does JVM1.4 allow me to put a custom jar file that requires a native library in the bootclasspath?
    Regards,
    Eman

Well is your file in a directory included in the java.library.path environement variable. I use java on windows but I have to add the directory where my native library is to the path variable (not classpath) in order to avoid the error you get.

  • GB won't open- This is what I get... Path does not exist: /Library/Audio/Apple Loops Index  st: /Library/Audio/Apple Loops Index w/out this directory you cannot use the Loop Browser

Path does not exist: /Library/Audio/Apple Loops Index  st: /Library/Audio/Apple Loops Index w/out this directory you cannot use the Loop Browser.  Then I get this message...
    Instrument Library Invalid
GarageBand Ecpects a valid instrument foledr in /Libraty/Application Support/GarageBand
Please choose a valid instrument Library folder or quit and re-install GB
    Any solutions?

Is this a new installation of GarageBand or has it worked before on the same computer?
Or have you transferrred your GarageBand from a different computer?
The error message is saying, that your GarageBand installation is incomplete. There are essential foldrs missing in your system library.
Check, if indeed both folders are missing or if only the permissions are set incorrectly.
Your system library (the folder "System" directly on your system drive) should have the following folders inside the folder "Audio", and they need to be readable by the system and by administrators.
And in the folder /Library/Application Support there should be the Instrument Library.
If these folders do not exist (or no longer exist), restore them from your backup-  If your GarageBand version is a new installation, the application may not hve been downloaded or installed completely, then reinstall GarageBand.
What is your GarageBAnd version, and how did you install it originally?

  • Native library working in Eclipse but not in command line ...

I was working on a Nutch project combing CMeCab with the analyzer.
    It uses:
    System.load('CMeCab');
where the problem occured. I have the file libCMeCab.so in /usr/lib/ and it was working fine inside eclipse.
But when I complie with ant (by the way I'm not familiar with this great tool, but followed the easy tutorial), and then run everything inside terminal like normal Nutch project. Everything was fine until the index process which uses native library CMeCab to analyze.
    The error was:
    java.io.IOException: Job failed!
And in the hadoop.log in detail:
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no CMeCab in java.library.path
         at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary(ClassLoader.java:1738)
         at java.lang.Runtime.loadLibrary0(Runtime.java:823)
         at java.lang.System.loadLibrary(System.java:1028)
I didn't have runtime -D option in Eclipse run configuration for library path, and didn't know what was the difference that's causing the trouble. I googled trying hard, but most of the MeCab documentations is in Japanese and merely had the problem I had.
    Please help me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
I was working on a Nutch project combing CMeCab with the analyzer. No idea what Nutch and CMeCab are (but apparently this latter has unkempt hair ;o).
I didn't have runtime -D option in Eclipse run configuration for library path, and didn't know what was the difference that's causing the trouble.I won't know either why it works in Eclipse, but have you tried adding -Djava.library.path=/usr/lib to the command line, to check how it works? If it works, would this be a problem to use this configuration?

    Hi Ashok,
for your requirement the application is not exist in particular place. It means, the webdynpro application is saved at different package or different location.
Please change the webdynpro component name and save it in particular request in package, then transport it to quality ..(development server )
then go to SICF  t.code .. sap->bc->webdynpro->sap->find  out your application and activate the service of your webdynpro application.
Now test it ... this solution might helpful to you .

  • Report group and report library does not exist

    Dear Guru's
We are not able to execute the report S_ALR_87013019 in production. After doing analyses, we came to know that library 602 & report group 6OBU does not exist in production, and hence we are not able to excute this report.
We have to tried to import from client  '000' from transaction code GR59, But in that we are not getting 6OBU report group.
Please help us to resolve the issue, as we required this report on priority basis.

    Dear Prashant,
    Thanks for your reply.
The solution given by you is to transport the report library from Dev Client. But our client does not transaport the reports in production system.
Is ther any other solution to retrieve the library.
    Thanks

  • I cant access my custom library. "error:Package X does not exist".

First of all, there is nothing wrong with my sourcecode. I've checked it and it runs fine when my client class and the rest of the classes is thrown into the same directory together.
Thing is, I have a lot of reusable code, which works, and I have to my best ability followed guidelines on the net how to put them into a liberary and use the import statement in the client to make use of that liberary. My client class still cant find the library, and yes it has the proper import statement. It just tells me that the package does not exist. I've tried to compress the library to a jarfile:
    jar cf mittBibliotek.jar *
, and I've tried treating it as it is(a directory with java files, each one containing the proper package statement).
First I tried to setup my library using the Netbeans IDE 5.0.
(Right click the libraries node in the project iew->properties>-Libraries->Add Jar/Folder) Source code still cant find any of the classes contained in the jar file.
The netbeans interface can be a bit involved, so I switched to BlueJ just to see if my client class was able to find anything (Tools->preferences->Libraries->add).
I've tried multiple variations trying to explain to the the source code where the liberary is located. Should the files in the library be compiled before it can be used as a jar? Have I set up my classpath correctly? I'm using windows XP, and I've placed the classpath by going to system properties-advanced tab->envirornment variables and typing it under the system variables. Is
this wrong? Should it be someplace else? Haven't BlueJ or netbeans their own setup for classpaths? And why the need to type anything else in the classpath, when the dot in CLASSPATH=.;c:\Java;c:\suff;c:\andSoOn; actually means everything? Would it not be the same to just
    write CLASSPATH=.;?
I seem to be getting off topic here, sorry about that. All I want is to be able to use my class library with my source code.
PS: I've used the terms "source code" and "client class" arbitrarely. They are both the same.

Have I set up my classpath
correctly? I'm using windows XP, and I've placed the
classpath by going to system properties-advanced
tab->envirornment variables and typing it under the
    system variables.Is
this wrong? That can work, but changing the CLASSPATH environment variable every time you want to run a program isn't recommended. Instead, you should you use the -classpath option of the javac command to compile your programs. Here is the syntax
    C:> javac -classpath C:\folder1;C:\folder2\subfolder1 MyClass.java
Tip: construct your command in a text editor, so if it doesn't work, you can modify it and then copy and paste it into your DOS window. That will save you from having to retype the whole command in the DOS window.
    And
why the need to type anything else in the classpath,
    when the dot in
    CLASSPATH=.;c:\Java;c:\suff;c:\andSoOn; actually
means everything? Would it not be the same to just
write CLASSPATH=.;? No. The dot means to look in the current directory. Suppose you have a DOS window open and you change directories to an existing directory on your computer called C:\folder1\subfolder1:
    something here>cd C:\folder1\subfolder1
C:\folder1\subfolder1>Now, let's say you want to compile the MyClass.java file and it's in subfolder1. Also, suppose MyClass.java imports a class in folder1. If you use this command to compile:
    C:\folder1\subfolder1>
    javac -classpath . MyClass.java
the current directory is C:\folder1\subfolder1 (note: I put the javac command on a different line for clarity). The -classpath is the dot, which instructs javac to look in the current directory for the classes referred to in the program MyClass.java. Since by assumption the class referred to by MyClass.java is not in subfolder1, the program won't compile. Also, the current directory does not include files in subdirectories of the current directory.
Unfortunately, one of the biggest barriers to learning java is learning how to compile and execute programs. I still have trouble, and I constantly revise the rules I follow to take into account some new thing I stumbled on. Here are the current rules I follow:
    =================================
    EXAMPLE DIRECTORY STRUCTURE:
    D:\javaStuff\aFolder\TryPackage.java
TryPackage.java is in the aFolder package and references the Line and Point classes. Line.java and Point.java are in the Geometry package, and they reside in the Geometry folder like this:
    C:\moreJava\Packages\Geometry\Line.java
    ====================================
COMPILING: Use cd to change the DOS prompt to the current directory of the FILE you are trying to compile. In the -classpath option, include the classpaths to packages of all CLASSES referenced in your program whether they are in an import statement or not. If the file you want to compile is in the current directory, the compiler can find your FILE--it uses "." for the default location. To compile TryPackage.java above use this command:
    D:\javaStuff\aFolder>
    javac -classpath C:\moreJava\Packages filename
where filename = TryPackage.java. If your FILE is not in the current directory, then you need to use the full path name of the FILE like this: filename = d:\javaStuff\aFolder\TryPackage.java
RUNNING: In -classpath, include all paths to all packages of the classes USED in the program, which includes the path to the package of the .class file you are trying to run. If the .class file you are trying to run is not in a named package, then it is part of the default package, and the -classpath for that package must be included. For the default package, the -classpath equals the path to the directory that contains the file. If TryPackage.java did not have a package statement, the -classpath to the default package would be D:\javaStuff\aFolder. In addition, you need tack on the package name to the beginning of the .class file you compiled. Here is how you would run the TryPackage program:
    D:\javaStuff\aFolder>
    java -classpath C:\moreJava\Packages;D:\javaStuff filename
where filename = aFolder.TryPackage. It does not matter if the .class file you are trying to run is in the current directory or not. The preceding command will work from any directory.
ADDITIONAL RULES: You don't necessarily have to specify the full path name to the file when you are at a prompt other than the directory which contains the file. Instead, you can just complete the path to the file from the current directory, i.e. the prompt. For instance, if this is the directory structure:
    C:
    ----javaPrograms
    -----------Pack1
    -----------------DemoA.java
and you are at the prompt:
    C:\javaPrograms>
You can compile DemoA.java with this command:
    javac Pack1\DemoA.java
Note that if you add the prompt directory to the path specified for the file, you get:
    C:\javaPrograms + Pack1\DemoA.java = C:\javaPrograms\Pack1\DemoA.java
which results in the full path name to the file. So, javac can use the prompt directory as the starting point for path to the file you are compiling.
The same thing works for the java command when you execute your program. Assume you are at the C:\ prompt:
    C:\>
You can compile the program using:
    javac javaPrograms\Pack1\DemoA.java
(Note: I've only completed the path to the file from the current directory). I can execute the program using:
    java -classpath javaPrograms Pack1.DemoA
The java command completes the path to package. The prompt directory added to the -classpath is:
    C:\ + javaPrograms = C:\javaPrograms
which is the full path to the parent directory of the package.

    Hi,
you can reimport the library from the source client 000 with the help of the transaction GR29.
Don't forget to set the indicator 'copy with dependent objects'.
Then regenerate the report group  belonging to the library using transaction GR55.

  • Reuse Web Template properties: "Store in library" Button not existing?!

    Hello,
    following the instructions on http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/1f/37813b650cdc0be10000000a114084/content.htm
it is said that I should do the following to save and reuse the properties of a web template (not a web item):
"To save the properties of a Web template in a library, choose Save in Library in the lower section of the Web Item tab page."
But there is no such Button, Link or something else labelled with "Save in Library". Unforunately, there is not screenshot available in the online help, so I even have no idea how the screen SHOULD look like.
Can someone help or try this out and give me feedback? I almost believe that they describe something which just does not exist in the Web Application Designer.

    Dear Orla,
thank you for your reply. We only use the 7.x WAD. Do you or someone else know if there's a chance to obtain the same functionality in this version? I just want to make some template properties reusable like I do with other web items.
And yes, the help file is obviously for 3.x. I didn't recognize that when I read it for the first time.
    Thank you,

These columns do exist in the Library as verified in Library Settings.  Many of the Library column names contain two words divided by a space.  Is this causing the problem?  Does SharePoint maintain a less offensive representation of the field
name internally?  If so, how can I get it?
If I run this code with only the title, then it runs fine.
I Thank All in advance for any assistance that you can provided.

    Hello
In addition to Geetanjali Arora answer, change also those other columns
      item => item["Claim Number"],
      item => item["Policy Number"],
     item => item["Policyholder Name"],
     item => item["Document Type"]
If you don't know the internal name of a column,
go to the list containing the columns
    go to "list settings"
scoll down to the "columns" section
click on one of your columns et take a look a the url of the new page, you should found parameter "&Field=" => What is after is your field internal name (the one you should use in your CAML query)
    Best regards, Christopher.

  • Fobs4JMF, Native shared library NOT found, Mac OS 10.5

    Hello all,
We are having trouble getting Fobs4JMF working on a MAC; we are receiving the following error:
Fobs4JMF - Native shared library NOT found
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /Users/susan/Documents/workspace/GemIdent/libfobs4jmf.jnilib:
        at java.lang.ClassLoader$NativeLibrary.load(Native Method)
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary0(ClassLoader.java:1822)

at com.omnividea.media.parser.video.Parser.<clinit>(Parser.java:107)The source code we are using works fine on a windows machine using the native .dll file.
The following files were copied from the binary download into our project folder:
    a) libfobs4jmf.jnilib
    b) jmf.jar
    c) fobs4jmf.jar
    d) jmf.propertiesThe jmf and fobs4jmf jars are added to the classpath
We have tried the following to no avail:
    a) adding the "libfobs4jmf.jnilib" file to a /lib directory in the project space
    b) adding the "libfobs4jmf.jnilib" to "Contents/Resources/Java"
We thought it may have been a 64bit issue, so we copies the jmstudio executable to our project workspace, executed it and we are able to play video files without any problems. Therefore, it's a problem with our setup.
    Our versions are listed below:
    Eclipse 3.3.1
    JRE 1.6.0
Mac OS 10.5, 64bit (although it was also tried on OS 10 32bit to no avail)
    Fobs4JMF 0.4.1
    JMF 2.1.1e

    Hi Captfoss,
    Thanks for your help.
We've figured it out. Fobs4JMF 0.4.1 is compiled in Java 5 for 32bit. Once we compiled in Java 5, it began to work. Repeat: do not use Fobs4JMF on a 64bit mac running Java 6, it will require a 64bit native library. The provided jnilib is in 32bit!
    Here was out directory structure:
    /gemident.jar
    /jmf.properties
    /libfobs4jmf.jnilib
    /lib/jmf.jar
    /lib/fobs4jmf.jarAnd our manifest.mf:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Main-Class: GemIdentOperations.Run
Class-Path: lib/jmf.jar lib lib/fobs4jmf.jarWe can execute with the following:
java -Xmx1400m -jar gemident.jarThere is no need for any "Djava.library.path" or "LD_LIBRARY_PATH" - it should just work
