WebDynpro Table Simple Row Group

Hello.
How to create a table Grid with simple Row Group with this structure ?

Hi Taylor,
Try This:
1.Create a Context node with Following Structure:
   TableNode
__Attr1
__Attr2
    |__Attr3
You'll have the number of attributes based on your requirement
Fill the elements in the node.
Here we want to group the rows based on Attr1 value
2.Create a table with DataSource = TableNode
3.Add a TableColumnGroup in the table Say TableColumnGroup1.
4.Add 3 ( 3 in this example otherwise based on your requirement) columns say Colum1,Column2,Column3 in this Grouped column with TableCellEditors' values bound to the attributes in the TableNode respectively.
5.Select the Column1 (column used for Attr1) and bind its groupingValue propety to TableNode->Attr1
When you deploy, it will display the rows Grouped by the Value in Attr1.

  • WebDynpro, Table, selected rows, multiselect

    Hi together,
    I've got a problem with my "table-control" in WebDynpro.
    I just want to read the selected rows in the tablecontrol.
    To read one row is no problem:
    wdContext.currentnode.....
    But if there are more selected rows I don't know how to handle. Could I use the Context-Node, or do I have read the Table-Control-Attributes ? And how ?
    Please help me.
    Thx a lot.
    Greetings
    sb

    You have to look at the selection of the context node used as table data source. The selected elements are given by
    node.getCurrentElement() -> the lead selected element
    node.isMultiSelected(i)  -> if element at index i is part of multiselection.

  • How to Display the content of Excel file into Webdynpro Table

    Hi Experts
    I am following the Blog to upload a file in to the webdynpro context,but my problem is after uploading a excel file i need to extract the content from that Excel file and that content should be displayed in the webdynpro table.Can any body please guide me how to read the content from excel and to Display in the Table.

    HI,
    Take for example, if Excel file contains 4 fields,
    Add jxl.jar to JavaBuild path and Use this snippet
    File f=new File("sample.xls");
    Workbook w=Workbook.getWorkbook(f);
    Sheet sh=w.getSheet(0);
    int cols=sh.getColumns();
    int rows=sh.getRows();
    Cell c=null;
    String s1=null;
    String s2=null;
    String s3=null;
    String s4=null;
    ArrayList al=new ArrayList();
    int j=0;
    for(int i=1;i<rows;i++)
    ITableElement table=wdContext.createTableElementz
         s1=sh.getCell(0,i).getContents();
         s2=sh.getCell(1,i).getContents();
         s3=sh.getCell(2,i).getContents();
         s4=sh.getCell(3,i).getContents();
                             table.setName(s1);
         table.setAddress(s2);
         table.setDesignation(s3);
         table.setDummy(s4);
         al.add(j,table);
         j++;
    wdContext.nodeTable().bind(al);

  • Diplaying matrix with drill down (toggle visibility) enabled for 4 row groups

    Hello,
    I have a matrix in SSRS 2012 with 4 row groups representing a product hierarchy.   Product Sub Group, Product, Sub Product and Account Number are the levels of the hierarchy.  I have enabled drill down (toggle item visibility) on the first
    3 of these levels.
    This works great, but my matrix is very wide when it is first rendered.  Ideally I want my matrix to expand horizontally as I expand/drill down into each grouping.  So when the report is first rendered, and 3 of the groups are invisible, the
    matrix will be thin.  Is this possible?
    Thanks,
    Gabe

    Hi Gabe,
    Based on my test, it cannot achieved in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
    We can hide these column contents in matrix, however, we cannot hide the space in the report. In this situation, I recommend you use table to display these data.
    Alternative, we can add a drill-down in the column group to hide the column group when it is first rendered. Please refer to the following screenshot:

  • WebDynpro Table Contents to  Adobe:

    Hi ,
       I have WebDynpro Table element containing lots of data and on click of button it has to open in Adobe and display all the contents in Adobe Table. The problem is that i receive only one record which is lead selected in WebDynpro table. In Adobe i used one Subform ( Content type is flowed) and a table element.
    Expecting right ans.
    Thanks

    Points waiting.

    Hi, Vinod,
       Really its surprising. Everything is fine, then y its not working. here I have created a sample application regarding u r problem. Its working fine. While i am giving Updatepdf it shows only one record. In generate pdf, It shows all the records. Possible, Try to create your Interactive form again as its a simple one.

  • Currency Key Reference field in WebDynpro Table Column

    Hi Experts,
    I am using a WebDynpro table (not ALV) showing multiple currency fields in a single row - each one potentially referencing a different currency key e.g. Japanese Yen and USD in a single row.
    My currency context attributes are already defined as currency types, but how can I assign different currency key references to each of my currency context attributes? Or is this somehow done as a property of the table column UI element?
    Thanks for your help,
    Peter

    Hi Kris,
    You answer is very helpful, but I do have a question about going the DDIC route. So you are saying that if I take a DDIC structure into my context with multiple currency keys as reference fields for multiple currency fields, then my WebDynpro context will know exactly which currency key is the reference for which currency field without having do do this programatically as you described? If that's true, can I bring a whole DDIC structure over to the context and then delete the 'Dictionary Structure' refrence from my context node, so that I can add my own additional fields to the context node?  E.g. in the case of DDIC structure VBAP can I get all my currency fields and their reference fields from the DDIC from VBAP and then delete 'VBAP' as a 'Dictionary Structure' from my context node and add my own custom fields. The fields I would have brought in from VBAP still retain their type and everything after the deletion of 'VBAP' as a 'Dictionary Structure', so my question is will it also retain the node_info of what currency key goes with what field?
    Please let me know if you happend to have done this before.
    Thanks,
    Peter

  • Split Column group heading to next row based on row group

    Hii all
    I am developing a matrix by grouped departments on row and schemes are in columns
    but scheme group goes to end .. its not meeting my requirement
    as per above image my report should looks like.
    but report looks like below ..
    Dilip Patil..

    Hi Dilip Patil,
    According to your description, you want to create a matrix which display schemes of departments. Now you can't make the matrix looks like the first image above. Right?
    In this scenario, you should have a data field in your dataset which is for the schemes to group on. Otherwise the matrix can't dynamically generate those schemes into on row. If you don't have a column in your database to group the schemes,we suggest you
    use table the render your data and put the schemes into detail rows. We have tested in our local environment. Here are steps and screeenshots for your reference:
    1. We add a column(named Scheme) in database to define scheme group for schemes.
    2. Put Dept into row group and set it group on Govt. The design looks like below:
    3. Save and preview. It looks like below:

    it works in sql server when i run the query, it assigns the row number to the right person. but when i try to use it in ssrs query, i get
    The OVER SQL construct or statement is not supported.
    Make it into proc like this
    CREATE PROC ProcName
    AS
    SELECT DENSE_RANK() OVER (ORDER BY EmailAddress),
    FirstName, LastName, EmailAddress, tused, CourseTitle, lastlogindate, Noofmodules, COUNT(coursecompleted) AS modulesstarted,
    REPLACE(REPLACE(REPLACE('<' + STUFF

    FROM edsf1 AS e
    WHERE (coursecompleted = '1') OR
    (coursecompleted = '0')
    GROUP BY FirstName, LastName, EmailAddress, CourseTitle, lastlogindate, Noofmodules, tused
    Then in SSRS use below as command
    EXEC ProcName
    and it will work fine

  • Table Rendering - Row level vs Column level

    Normally renderers are specified for a given class of data or column of data.
    So, how would you handle rendering requirements that are row or table dependent? For example, how do I:
    a) color alternate lines in a table
    b) change the border of the selected cell
    Traditional Approach
    Most answers in the forum would be something like "use a custom render". Sounds great, but what does it really mean? If all your data is displayed as a String then it really isn't too difficult to create a single renderer with the required logic and add it to the table as the default renderer.
    However, what if you table contains, String's, Dates, Integer's, Double's and Boolean's and you want your cell to retain the default formatting of each data type in addition to the above requirement? Now you have two options:
    a) render by class (multiple renderers). Each renderer would need to implement the default "formatting" of the data (dates: dd-MMM-yyy, numbers: right justified, etc) in addition to the "row/table" rendering requirements. So the answer really becomes "use five custom renderers". Now the "row/table" rendering code is found in 5 classes. Of course you could always move the "row/table" rendering code up to a common base class.
    b) render by table (single renderer). A single custom renderer would be created and would need to implement the default "formatting" for all data types in the table, in addition to the "row/table" rendering. The benefit is that all the rendering code is in one class. An example solution is include for this approach.
    Alternative Approach
    I recently came across an approach where the "formatting" of the data is still done by the default renderers and the "row/table" rendering is done at the table level by overriding the prepareRenderer() method. This approach is much simpler, but the rendering is done in two different places. Is this a problem?
    So, my question is which approach do you prefer:
    a) Traditional Approach - multiple renderers
    b) Triditional Approach - single renderer
    c) Alternative Approach
    Me, I like the alternative approach, but I'm more of a problem solver than I am a designer, so I don't know how the solution fits in a large scale application.
    Hopefully your response will consider:
    a) OO design principles
    b) class reusability
    c) class maintenance
    d) anything else you can think of

            TableRowRendering frame = new TableRowRendering();
            frame.setDefaultCloseOperation( EXIT_ON_CLOSE );
            frame.pack();
            frame.setLocationRelativeTo( null );
            frame.setVisible(true);
    }Before you make your final decision. What changes would be required for each solution in the following "what if " scenarios:
    a) what if, you added a Boolean column to the table
    b) what if, you added a second Double column to the table which should be formatted as a currency (ie. 1,234.5 --> $1,234.50).
    Here is an example of a currency renderer:
    class CurrencyRenderer extends DefaultTableCellRenderer
         private NumberFormat formatter;
         public CurrencyRenderer()
              super();
              formatter = NumberFormat.getCurrencyInstance();
              setHorizontalAlignment( SwingConstants.RIGHT );
         public void setValue(Object value)
              if ((value != null) && (value instanceof Number))
                   value = formatter.format(value);
              super.setValue(value);
    }

    Well, here's a partila solution using technique from a link you cited in another thread.

    }Boolean values are problematical since JCheckBox does seem to like borders, using a panel as I did in the Etched renderer seems to work. This solution need a little more work, this is submitted as a prototype

    I have a couple of clarifications on webdynpro table features.
    1.webdynpro table heading currently comes only as one row.Is it possible to store the values in 2 rows.?
    2.I would like to incorporate scrolling on webdynpro table both horizontally and vertically.Whe scrolling is incorporated vertically,is it possible to keep the header always on the screen,even when the webdynpro is scrolled down?

    i wanna webdynpro table rows have their dropdow list,and each row have it's own list values
    how can i do
    best regards
    zlf

    Hi,
    I hope you already have a Solution, if not try the following:
    1-Create a node"table"(0-n) in the context_View
    2-Create 2 attribute in this node.
      - The first"List_atr" to show the list
      - The second "save_atr" to save the value selected from the list
    3- Create a Table in the Layout_View, bind it dateSource to the node"table" in context_view
    3.1- Add a Column in the Table (Layout_View),
         + add a TableCelEditor "DropDownByKey" elt to this Column,
         + bind the "selectedKey" of this Elt to  the first"List_atr" in the node"table" in the context Node
         + Add a eventhandler(method)"onvalSelected" to the Events "onSelect" of this elt
    3.1-implement the method "onvalSelected"
        here tel ur view ctrl to save the value selected in the second "save_atr" in the context_View
    example code:
               wdContext.currentTableElement().setsave_atr( wdContext.currentTableElement().getshow_atr());
    So if you know how to populate the first "show_atr" with some list, coo. So if the user selected one value in the dropdown list, the method will save it in the cell of the table row and so on for each rows.
    If you have another questions just asked.
    Best Regards

  • How to make two matrix and table into same group in SSRS

    Hi
    i need to dispaly to dispaly data  matrix and table .  but matrix data on first page and table data on second page.
    how to achive this . if i give pagebreak for every new instance for matrix, only matrix data is getting dispalyed in one page and on the second page seocond record date is getting displayed. after all matrix data is displayed ( in separate pages) , table
     data is being dispalyed.
    but i want to display matrix data on first page and table data on the second page for the first record. for second record  also it should display matrix data on 3rd page and table data on 4th page etc..
    i mean how to make matrix and table data as same group. so that i can set "page break for new instamce" etc..
    how to achive this in SSRS2008

    Hi Ramkanuganti,
    From your description, you want to group both the matrix and table on the same field and add a page break between the two controls for each instance at run time.
    To achieve your goal, we can display the matrix in a list and display the table in a nesting list. Please refer to the steps below:
    Drag a “List” to the design surface. Drag the matrix into the top of the list (list1).
    Drag a “”List” to the list1, under the matrix. Drag the table into the nesting list (list2).
    Select “list1” and open the “Group Properties” from the “Row Groups” pane. Add the field on which you want to group the data. In the “Page Breaks” tab, select the “Between each instance of a group”.
    Repeat step 3 to configure the “list2” using the same field. Additionally, please also select the “Also at the start of a group” option.
    For more information about how to work with list, please refer to:

    If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Table Heading Rows

    How do I get table heading rows to repeat if a table is broken across one or more pages? I'm sure it's something simple, but I have just about driven myself insane trying to figure it out. Help, please!

    Molly,
    You might be better off asking this question in the Structured FM
    section of the forum as this is part is for unstructured FM.
    Also, your question might easily be missed when you jump in on an
    older topic such as this. Please start a new topic and also include
    other relevant information such as your version of FrameMaker
    (including point release, e.g. 8.0p277) and the structure of the table
    elements that you're using.

    Hi,
    You can use INSERT statement to put a work area of an Internal table in Field-group
    and use Extract to get info out of it.
    Hope it helps,

  • Calculate percentage between two rows in a matrix report with a single row group in SSRS 2008

    I need your help. I have a matrix report in ssrs 2008. The report contain one field value column and one value column. I need to calculate a percentage for two values. For example : row 1 : Discount 10 Row 2 : Sales 100 Result : 10/100. I have only one
    row group, I need to have a condition where Field = Discount % on Revenue then Discount/Total Turnover. Because of the  grouping for total, I am not being able to calculate the %, its just totalling the % discount. Kindly refer to the snapshot of the
    report.

    Hi Thanks a lot for your answer, but unfortunately it didn't work,the report is reading from a stored procedure which I have unpivot to convert all columns into rows, so that's why Discount % on Revenue, Discount and Total Turnover is found in one column.
    So the Field!Col.Value is the Discount % on Revenue, Discount and Total Turnover. I have tried to change the code to
    "=SUM(IIF(Fields!Col.Value = "Discount",Fields!value.Value),0))
    /IIF(SUM(IIF(Fields!Col.Value = "Turnover Total",Fields!value.Value),0)) = 0 ,
    Nothing,SUM(IIF(Fields!Col.Value = "Turnover Total",Fields!value.Value),0)))" but to no avail. Any other suggestion will be most welcome.
    Thanks.
    If everything you're getting from stored procedure then you need to calculate and bring the value from there itself.
