Weblogic 12c console doesn't update with datasources defined

Hi Guys,
I've observed this behaviour.. which seems to me as a bug somewhere.. Here is what happens..
1. I define a datasource
2. Then I try to create JDBCStore for JMS messages.. I don't see my defined datasource in step-1 in the dropdown list..
3. Worst part is, even if I define a new datasource from the create JDBCStore screen, I don't get to see it back in the dropdown list..
Could someone please try it?
Thanks,
Prasad

From the WLS documentation:
You cannot configure a JDBC store to use a JDBC data source that is configured to support global (XA) transactions. The JDBC store must use a JDBC data source that uses a non-XA JDBC driver. In addition, you cannot enable Logging Last Resource or Emulate Two-Phase Commit in the data source. This limitation does not remove the XA capabilities of layered subsystems that use JDBC stores. For example, WebLogic JMS is fully XA-capable regardless of whether it uses a file store or any JDBC store.
Because the JDBC store implements the XAResource interface, it acts as it’s own resource manager and handles the transactions above the JDBC driver level. That is, the store itself implements the XAResource and handles the transactions without depending on the database (even when the messages are stored in the database).
This means that whenever you are using a JDBC store and a database (even if it is the same database where the JMS messages are stored), then it is two-phase commit transaction.
So only non-XA datasources will show up in the console list for JMS JDBC stores and you cannot use that same datasource for an EJB global transaction.
This has always been the case.

  • My Calendar doesn't update with iPhone sync even though it then updates my iPad

My Calendar on my iMac doesn't update when syncing with iPhone (the most updated device on my Calender), even though it then updates after I sync my iPad? By this I mean it updates the system on my iMac because it then passes it onto my iPad. Help PLEASE??????

Might help if you stated which App this was.
In the email iTunes receipt that you receive there is a Report a Problem link with which you can communicate a problem with each purchase to Apple.

  • WebLogic Admin Console won't work with java security manager enabled.

By just enabling the security manager on the command line with -Djava.security.manager and using the default weblogic.policy in the server/lib directory, the admin console will not work. I just see a blank page when I try to access the admin console with permission errors all over on the server console.
In looking at the admin console's weblogic.xml it should have access to everything since it contains:
    grant {
    permission java.security.AllPermission;
Are there known issues with this? If I add this permission to the weblogic.policy file everything works fine but then I might as well not turn on the security manager.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    David,
I was glad to see your post regarding WLS 9.2 and the troubles with enabling Java Security Manager.
Were you able to learn any more on things like - why doesn't the admin console work when the security manager is enabled with the default policy file. Also, why is it so difficult to add permissions for your own applications and get them to actually work.
I'd be curious to see if you were able to get it to work or if you have any insights or resources that can help with this as we are really struggling to get a restrictive policy file that works.
    Thanks,
    D

  • Weblogic 6.0 doesn't update my JSP-pages without a restart!!?!

I had the same problem with Weblogic 6.0sp1 Windows
    Here's what I did:
    1) Shutdown Weblogic
    2) Delete the temporary folder and files under:
    C:\bea\wlserver6.0sp1\config\mydomain\applications\.wl_temp_do_not_delete
    3) Keep only 2 web applications under the applications directory:
    C:\bea\wlserver6.0sp1\config\mydomain\applications\
    DefaultWebApp_myserver
    and myApplication
    4) Restart Weblogic
Now the updates to the Jsps of myApplication are refreshed without restarting Weblogic !

  • Numbers on my Mac says waiting, doesn't update with iCloud

I've tried resetting my devices and data on iCloud, and restarted all my devices, but that has not resolved the issue.

    Hi sbsturm,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your iOS device is in the process of uploading the spreadsheet to iCloud. The article below should help as it provides more information about about the Waiting alert and troubleshooting suggestions.
Numbers for iCloud beta: If a spreadsheet doesn’t appear in Numbers for iCloud beta
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12809
If a Numbers spreadsheet created on an iOS device doesn’t appear in Numbers for iCloud beta
    Check the following:
Make sure your device is connected to the Internet.
Verify that your iCloud account is set up on your iOS devices, and that Documents & Data in iCloud preferences is turned on for each.
Verify that iCloud is turned on for the Numbers app on each device where you want to access the spreadsheet. Tap Settings, then Numbers, then turn on iCloud.
Verify that your iOS devices have iOS 7 or later installed in order to have the latest version of Numbers installed.
Make sure the spreadsheet isn’t in the process of being uploaded. Open Numbers on your iOS device. If the spreadsheet appears with an upload pending icon , it’s being uploaded. When the upload process is complete, the spreadsheet should appear in Numbers for iCloud beta.
Verify that your iCloud account password is correct, and that it’s updated on your iOS devices and computers.
Check your remaining iCloud storage space on your iOS device. Tap Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
If you need additional space, you can either purchase more, or you can delete one or more of your spreadsheets stored in iCloud. For information on how to purchase storage, go to iCloud Help.
If a Numbers spreadsheet created on a Mac doesn’t appear in Numbers for iCloud beta
Check the items listed in the above task, as well as the following:
Verify that your iCloud account is set up on your computer, and that Documents & Data in iCloud preferences is turned on in System Preferences.
On your Mac, make sure the spreadsheet isn’t in the process of being uploaded. Open Numbers on your Mac, or choose File > Open if Numbers is already open. If the spreadsheet appears with a small iCloud icon or the wordwaiting next to it, it’s being uploaded. When the upload process is complete, the spreadsheet should appear in Numbers on your iOS device and in Numbers for iCloud beta.
Make sure the spreadsheet isn’t an unsupported file type. Currently, Numbers for iCloud beta supports only Numbers, Microsoft Excel, or CSV file types.

  • My Itunes Folder doesn't update with my library...?

I deleted some songs from my itunes library last night and today I was going to move my library to a different computer. But, when I looked at the itunes music folder, it still had the deleted songs in it. I can't move the folder until it exactly matches my itunes library. Does anyone know how I can update the folder?

Deleting from the itunes library index doesn't necessarily delete the songs from your hard drive, as you've found.
It only does this if they are getting deleted from the itunes folder location set up in itunes prefrences > advanced.
Looks like you are going to have to delete those same files using windows explorer.

    hi.
I had faced this behavior on weblogic 12c(12.1.1).
Maybe This problem was solved by 12.1.2.
But, when text item submitted together with a upload file, multibyte characters was garbage characters.
See Multibyte character was garbage characters, when multipart requested (Multipartリクエストで文字化けが発生する) on WebLogic12(12.1.2.0)

  • Jrockit with oracle weblogic 12c

We have Oracle Weblogic 12c and I followed this thread and update the start up files mentioned here, but still couldn't connect.
    http://jdeveloperfaq.blogspot.com/2011/03/faq-32-how-to-get-started-with-jrockit.html
Has anyone been able to get the JROCKIT to pull data from Weblogic Oracle 12c and if so what version of the JROCKIT did you use and did you need to tweak the start up files, setdomain.env and startWebLogic cmd files.
    Thanks

To my knowledge the plug-ins are not yet supported for WebLogic 12c.
"For information on WebLogic Server 10gR3 (10.3.0) and 11gR1 (10.3.x) Web Server Plug-In support, refer to My Oracle Support Doc ID 1111903.1 on https://support.oracle.com"
    - New plug-ins will be released for WebLogic Server 12c.
    - The location for the WLS 12c plug-ins will be released when they are available.
Instructions on configuration (note they come from the WebLogic 10.3.5 documentation) can be found here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/e14395/nsapi.htm#BGBFCGBJ
    - The latest plug-ins can be found here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/wls-plugins-096117.html
The documentation for WebLogic 12c only has instructions for the HttpClusterServlet: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24329_01/web.1211/e24425/setup.htm#CLUST466

  • Trying to deploy a Metro JAX-WS Endpoint with UsernameToken wsit in Weblogic 12c

    Hi,
we just try to deploy a Metro based Jax-WS Endpoint to Weblogic 12c.
The Webservice itself is successfully deployed on Tomcat with Metro 2.3 and Weld.
For security the wsit file is used in combination with the UsernameToken policy.
For Validation an implementation of PasswordValidator (com.sun.xml.wss.impl.callback.PasswordValidationCallback.PasswordValidator) is used,
Unfortunately this class is not present in the weblogic jax-ws implementation, despite the fact that the implementation is based upon metro.
Is there a possibility to use the standard metro implementation for jax-ws in Weblogic 12c (12.1.2.0).
We found an  user guide here: https://metro.java.net/guide/ch02.html#weblogic-10 but it doesn't work for us.
Maybe there is an problem with 12.1.2.0, because the user guide is for 12.1.1.0.
    Has anyone tried something similar?
    Thanks

because using sun-jaxws.xml is a non-standard deployment descriptor. You need to use just the web.xml and instead of pointing at the JAX-WS RI servlet, point it at your endpoint implementation class. The AS 9 tutorial should show an example of this.

  • System.Data.Entity.DbSet entity doesn't get updated with sequence nextval

I am using EF6 with oracle 12c client. I need dynamic entity object to be added in System.Data.Entity.DbSet
    System.Data.Entity.DbSet entity = Request.Context.Set(obj.GetType());
    Object Updated = entity.Add(obj);
    Result_SaveChanges = Request.Context.SaveChanges();
    int sequence = Request.Context.Database.SqlQuery<int>("SELECT " + SeqName + ".currval FROM DUAL").FirstOrDefault();
Save Changes doesn't update the object's key but fetching the sequence give me the updated value. I need System.Data.Entity.DbSet entity to be properly updated so that i can insert child entities too through their navigation properties.

    Hello Sidra,
Since you are working with EF based on Oracle database provider, for this, i suggest that you could post it to the Oracle related forum:

  • Error invoking WebService in Eclipse with WebLogic 12c plugin

I am using Eclipse Indigo with WebLogic 12c plugin to create a standalone WebService Client which invokes a simple WebService. The WebService is protected by Security Policies Wssp1.2-2007-Wss1.0-X509-Basic256.xml and Wssp1.2-SignBody.xml.
I get the following exception when I run the standalone client:
h2. Exception in thread "main" java.util.ServiceConfigurationError: javax.xml.ws.spi.Provider: Provider weblogic.wsee.jaxws.spi.WLSProvider could not be instantiated: java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError
The same program works fine using JDeveloper 11g but not in Eclipse Indigo or in Juno. Has anyone faced this issue?
    Thanks,
    Madhav

The stand-alone client JAR file does not, however, support invoking Web services that use the following advanced features:
    Web services reliable SOAP messaging
    Message-level security (WS-Security)
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/web.1111/e13760/client.htm#i229632
Can you try running by adding weblogic.jar. but if you run the client inside the wls Server it should work.

  • Weblogic console doesn't start

    Hi all,
Sorry if this is a wrong place...I am new to weblogic.
I have weblogic 9.2 installed in my PC and I tried to configure servers in the console and I restarted the weblogic server.
Now when i try to log into localhost:7001/console it says
"+*A serious condition has been detected which prevents the proper operation of the Weblogic Administration Console.*+
+*It's likely that this condition is the result of a configuration problem. See the log files for more information.*+"
can anybody please help me in resolving this issue.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Sree.

From the logs, I could find the below lines:
-- Reference to MAXIMOUI1 by *[maximo_domain]/JDBCSystemResources[jmsqueuedatasource]/Targets is ambigous;*
The following beans share this name:
    *- weblogic.management.configuration.ServerMBeanImpl@a862d569([maximo_domain]/Servers[MAXIMOUI1])*
    *- weblogic.management.configuration.ClusterMBeanImpl@a862d568([maximo_domain]/Clusters[MAXIMOUI1])*
-- Reference to MAXIMOUI2 by *[maximo_domain]/JDBCSystemResources[jmsqueuedatasource]/Targets is ambigous;*
The following beans share this name:
    *- weblogic.management.configuration.ServerMBeanImpl@a862d568([maximo_domain]/Servers[MAXIMOUI2])*
    *- weblogic.management.configuration.ClusterMBeanImpl@a862d569([maximo_domain]/Clusters[MAXIMOUI2])*
Looks like there is some issue with the configuration you have done. From the error, looks like the jdbc/jms resource are conflicting among the servers and clusters.
Can you retry the steps again and post your results?
    Thanks,
    Patrick

  • Weblogic 12c : Spring taglib No tag library could be found with this URI

    Hello,
I have an application which deploy perfectly on JBOSS 7 and Websphere
My WAR includes WEB-INF/lib/spring-webmvc.jar which contains all .tld files declaration (stardard stuff up to now....)
When I try to acces ths page (JSP) I got : No tag library could be found with this URI
    Really don't know why ??

I think that there is bug in JSP precompilation by weblogic 12c maven plugin and appc. Seems me that jsp compiler can lose sometimes tag libraries it's precompiling. Next retry using exactly same pom can be successful. I get same results using command line and OEPE 12.1.1.0 mave(pom). My java options for maven package are(-Xmx1024m -Xms1024m -XX:PermSize=512m).
When I get the error it's something like
"Failed to execute goal com.oracle.weblogic:wls-maven-plugin:12.1.1.0:appc (default) on project ui_elements:
    There are 1 nested errors:
weblogic.utils.compiler.ToolFailureException: jspc failed with errors :weblogic.servlet.jsp.CompilationException: naviButtons.tag:23:6: The tag handler class was not found "jsp_servlet._tags.__pagelink_tag".
    <T:pageLink url="${naviStatus.previousPage.linkUrl}"
    ^--------^
naviButtons.tag:23:6: The tag handler class was not found "jsp_servlet._tags.__pagelink_tag".
    <T:pageLink url="${naviStatus.previousPage.linkUrl}"
Failed to execute goal com.oracle.weblogic:wls-maven-plugin:12.1.1.0:appc (default) on project ui_elements:"
Next unsuccessful compilation can mention different tags. Very irregular behavior.
    Do you have resolution?

  • Mozilla firefox 3.6.4 doesn't work with real player.because of this i don't want to update MF 3.6.3...What can i do

mozilla firefox 3.6.4 doesn't work with real player...can't download any videos...what can i do
    == This happened ==
    Just once or twice
    == update to 3.6.4. version

If you install 3.6.3 and don't want it to automatically upgrade you need to open the browser and select "Tools" from the menu bar. Go to "Options". Select the "Advanced" icon. Go to the "update" tab on the "Advanced" menu. Here you can configure how and what Firefox updates.
    Hope that helps.

  • Issue with Weblogic 12c(12.1.2)

My service is working as expected in weblogic 11g.Now we are upgrading to weblogic 12c.
We are facing an issue of "NullPointerException" , due to the values, not getting  populated during server startup from ra.xml.
In weblogic 11g the control is not going to that location, which is leading to an exception in Web logic 12c(NPE).
If we validate the null values, control is invoking twice, one with null values and another time with actual values from ra.xml.
Please help me on the same.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Sai,
it did  not solve my issue. I am getting SocketException. The post you were talking about is BindException.
Please help me if you can do something on this.
Some where i have seen like this
    Using IPv6-Formatted Addresses
    Platform: All
When using an IPv6-formatted address for WebLogic Server, the URL should include square brackets ('[' and ']') for the host address. Otherwise, WLST may fail to connect to the running server.
    Workaround
Add square brackets to the host address. For example:
    t3://[fe80:0:0:0:203:baff:fe2f:59e5]:9991.
But i dont know in which file these hosts contains.
