Weblogic 8.1 with GLUE and Cactus

I have cactus set-up. It starts the server and when it hits weblogic via the web
application I get the following error.
Service errors occurred: com.bitfone.server.commons.services.ServiceException:
Bind failed for http://localhost:7001/testapp/services/user.wsdl com.bitfone.server.commons.remote.IUserServices
[electric.registry.RegistryException: could not bind to path: http://localhost:7001/prism/services/user.wsdl]
If I start the server using the ant task I created and I put http://localhost:7001/testapp/services/user.wsdl
in to a web browser it works fine.

According to that link your right it is not supported.
Have you tried adding the xerces jars at the beginning of the classpath?

The problem may be a conflict with the different version. My versions are quartz-1.6.0.jar, log4j-1.2.15.jar.
When i rename the file url-template-config.xml i don't have this exception but just a log4j Warning but i don't know if it's not dangerous for my application (run with WebLogic 9.2) if i rename this file.
Can you give me a solution to remove this exception or tell me if rename this file it's not dangerous ?
    Thank you,
    MH.

url-template-config.xml is part of Apache Beehive. This file is used to provide a template mechanism for URL's. Is your application using Apache Beehive purposefully?
    http://beehive.apache.org/docs/1.0.2/netui/apidocs/javadoc/org/apache/beehive/netui/core/urls/URLRewriterService.html
If not, you may have inadvertently added a reference to Apache Beehive when you created the application and now there are references to the Apache Beehive shared libraries in either weblogic-applicaiton.xml or weblogic.xml

  • Issue in bringing up CRS on ATG 10.1.1 with MySQL and Weblogic 10.3

    Hello,
I am trying to bring up Commerce Reference Store as part of my evaluation using MySQL (bundled with ATG) and WebLogic 10.3.
I followed the ATG Documentation on CRS with WebLogic and MySQL and I could not proceed because of the below error log. I keep getting error in OnlineCreateServerInstanceTask of CIM. I believe it should be some configuration problem, but could not think of any.
As part of the installation, I use C:\jdk1.6.0_25. I verified my weblogic server is up through the admin console. I started MySQL before running the eval batch. Apart from starting MySQL server, I did not make any datasource/database configuration changes for ATG. I have not run any other scripts to configure MySQL too.
Please guide me to resolve the problem.

This error is resolved after following the logs in C:\ATG\ATG10.1.1\CIM\log\cim.log. The root cause is I used http as protocol instead of t3 while specifying weblogic admin url.

  • WebLogic Platform Uninstall Problems With SP3 and SP4

I am experiencing a problem (multiple times) WebLogic Platform's uninstall.
I am installing WebLogic Platform 8.1 SP3 from a CD. My machine's OS is Windows 2000 Professional SP4. I'm 99.9% positive that my environment is a supported configuration. I then upgrade to SP4 (once using SmartUpdate and another using the downloaded EXE from the support site, obviously on different runs).
After installing the original (SP3) from CD, I test the uninstall to see if it works. It does, so I cancelled out of the "splash" screen so nothing runs. I restarted my machine. I then upgrade to SP4. I restart the machine again. (As I mentioned before, I've tried this process twice, once with SmartUpdate and most recently with the SP4 EXE install). Without doing anything else, I test the uninstall again, but now, I'm getting the "splash" screen and a warning dialog with the message "D:\bea\weblogic81\uninstall". All methods of uninstall (Start Menu, Console, Silent, Control Panel > Add/Remove, etc...) fail.
In addition, when attempting to use SmartUpdate to downgrade back to SP3, the same things happens, but, in addition, I get another warning dialog with the message "Fail to launch the installer.".
    Please help...
Others have experienced this problem since Jul 23, 2003 5:56 AM (based on the thread link below) and I can't seem to find any additional information on it...

    saying "No

I figured the install had problems so I tried reinstalling it to another
    directory.
The installation went fine. I immediately tried to uninstall it and
    got the
same error. Has anyone seen this or have a suggestion as to how to uninstall
    the software.

  • Sharing Weblogic instance with Forms and ADF apps

We have both Oracle Forms and ADF (10.1.3.4) apps that we are planning to deploy to Weblogic. We are looking for the best approach for the architecture. Our user base is small (30-50 users) and the concurrent demand will be low as well.
    Options we are considering are:
    1. Two separate Weblogic servers, one for Forms and one for ADF
    2. One WL server with 2 domains, one for Forms and one for ADF
    3. One WL server and 1 domain serving both Forms and ADF. We'd probably create the domain for Forms initially then deploy the ADF apps to it as well as the ADF runtime libraries.
Are there any tips as to what we should consider in making our decision?

    1. Two separate Weblogic servers, one for Forms and one for ADF
this will actually segregate the applications.. both application will work independently.. still have to consider about the memory leaks as running two separate servers will take lot of resources.. no common library files access..2. One WL server with 2 domains, one for Forms and one for ADF
rather good approach..works well.. still each will work independently.. no common library dependencies..3. One WL server and 1 domain serving both Forms and ADF. We'd probably create the domain for Forms initially then deploy the ADF apps to it as well as the ADF runtime libraries.
both application can refer to common libraries..

  • Is there a problem with JMS and Weblogic?

              Hi,
I am using JMS and Weblogic (Not Message Driven bean).
My problem is that after some time my listeners disappears.
I am sending them a message and instead of 6 listeners
              I get only 4 messages.
So, My question is: Is there any problem working with JMS

              Thanks,

  • I unsubsribed from Get Glue and now every time I open Firefox, Get Glue opens on the page and I cannot get rid of it. I like Firefox and would like to use it, but the problem with Get Glue coming up each time I open Firefox causes me not to use Firefox.

Don't know what to add. How do I get rid of Get Glue and have Firefox open by itself?

This sounds more like a Windows question, than a Firefox question. When you say that an image shows up every time you open your computer, do you mean every time you turn on your computer, or every time you start Firefox?

  • GenerationType.AUTO doesn't work correctly with Kodo and MySQL

    Greetings,
I'm migrating applications from JBoss/Hibernate to WebLogic/Kodo. The following column annotation:
    @Id
    @Column(name="CUSTOMER_ID")
    @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO)
    public long getCustomerId()
is supposed to generate auto-increment primary key in mysql. This is what happens with Hibernate. With Kodo, this seems to be equivalent with GenerationType.TABLE as a table named openjpa_sequence_table is created, containing sequence values. So what should one do in order to be able to use true auto-increment strategy with MySQL and Kodo ?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Nicolas

    Hi Nicolas,
By setting the generation strategy to AUTO, you're essentially letting the JPA provider choose which strategy to use. It looks like Kodo is using the TABLE strategy by default and Hibernate is using the IDENTITY strategy here. You can set the strategy to IDENTITY if you want Kodo to behave similarly to Hibernate. However, it's worth pointing out that there may be a reason for Kodo not using the IDENTITY strategy by default.
    The docs at: http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/kodo/full/html/ref_guide_pc_oid.html#ref_guide_pc_oid_pkgen_autoinc
    point out the following:
"Statements inserting into tables with auto-increment / identity columns cannot be batched. After each insert, Kodo must go back to the database to retrieve the last inserted auto-increment value to set back in the persistent object. This can have a negative impact on performance. "

  • Weblogic 8.1 App Server and IBM MQ Series 5.2 Issue

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a bridge between Weblogic 8.1 App Server and IBM MQ Series 5.2 and i am facing issues.
Bridge works fine if i use QualityOfService="Atmost-once" and i am getting following error when i use
              QualityOfService="Duplicate-okay".
              Error:
              <Oct 16, 2003 6:03:35 PM PDT> <Error> <MessagingBridge> <BEA-200015> <An error occurred in bridge "MQSeries WebLogic Bridge" during the transfer of messages (java.lang.Exception: weblogic.jms.adapter.JMSConnectionHandle.acknowledge(Ljavax/jms/MessageV).>
<Oct 16, 2003 6:03:35 PM PDT> <Warning> <MessagingBridge> <BEA-200026> <Bridge "MQSeries WebLogic Bridge" encountered some problems in one of its adapters or underlying systems. It stopped transferring messages and will try to reconnect to the adapters shortly. (The exception caught was weblogic.jms.bridge.internal.MessagingBridgeException.)>
Any suggestions or comments will be really appreciated.
              Thanks
              Suresh

It is weird that nothing shows up in the log after you turned on the debug.
Actually I knew somebody has run into the same problem once.
The problem disappeared after he did something on the MQSeries side (like
restart the system and something else). I did not know exactly what he did.
I am not sure if that will help you but worth trying.
If that does work either, I'd suggest that you contact the BEA Customer Support
and somebody will look at it for you in depth.
              Thanks,
              Dongbo

  • Urgent:Error while picking up of data from Queue in Weblogic-10.0 with ALSB

I have put a mesage in queue using a business service and one of my proxy-service is picking the data from same queue whenever data is available. However, business service is working fine and data is being entered into the queue but proxy service is not able to pick the data from the same Queue(path and connection factory and Queue names are absolutely same for both the proxy service and business service. It's giving error:
    *<ACTIVE ExecuteThread: '10' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<anonymous>> <1241533175480> <BEA-387027>*
I am using ALSB for this.
Please help ASAP in the scenerio.
    Regards
    Gagandeep Singh

    Singh,
That's not an error message but simply an informational message that Welogic is tuning parameters to manage load.
You can use the JMS monitor inside WebLogic to monitor your queue and the number of pending messages.
What we have found, is that unless a topic is being fed data, the topic must be connected by the feeder before the subscriber, or the subscriber never receives data (why that is, I'm not sure).
I suggest adding a log entry as the very first thing in your receiving proxy service. Sent data to "error" and just write a test message. You should see that message every time you get a message. This takes out situations where namespace problems returns empty sets and a service doesn't look like it's working. You can also use the dashboard to monitor the receiving service, to verify that a service is being called/run.
Lastly, does your receiving service work when you run it in the debugger with manually entered data? It's been my experience that when I don't get a response, that my proxy service has errors in it.

there is weblogic600sp1_ and javaw in Windows Task manager->process.

If I remember correctly, you should make sure that the JDK is not in your
