Weblogic.refresh meet exception(Jsp refresh)

          Hi all,
          I intend to make my new JSP files in effect immediately,so I used "weblogic.refresh"
          utility to implement it. The command line is showed below. I think the call to
          weblogic.refresh successful. But from the weblogic system output, I see java.io.IOException.
          Every time I do "weblogic.refresh", the exception message is generated. I believe
          that the exception cause my new JSP files not be refreshed in Weblogic managed
          server. Any one here give me idea?
          Thanks.

Winston, I just tried to run weblogic.refresh with sp3 and got a similar
          problem. Can you please open a case with BEA support at
          http://support.bea.com/welcome.jsp. We'll take a closer look into this.

  • Weblogic.refresh is extremely slow & failing when xmiting JSP to App Servers

              We have a process that calls weblogic.refresh and sends JSP's to application servers.
              It normally runs in 30mins but is now running for 16hrs and then crashes. It is

    Was the managed server where a webApp is targeted alive when you ran weblogic.refresh? If the
              slowness happens when the managed server is down, you need to upgrade to SP3.

    Hi Maris,
    I see that you have create-default-dbms-tables set to true so WLS should be creating
    the database table for your EJB. If you can give me some more information, I'll be
    able to help you further. What version of WLS + service pack are you using? Also,
    is this a 1.1 bean or 2.0? Lastly, what are the types of the CMP fields in your
    bean?
    As a work-around, you can try creating the database table yourself before deploying
    the bean. This should resolve the deployment problem.

  • Unwanted stack trace in weblogic.log for thrown JSP Exceptions

    We are throwing a JSP exception within a custom tag when data validation
              errors occur; the errorPage for the JSP page is then invoked to show the
              appropriate errors. However, in the weblogic.log, a stack trace is shown
              indicating the exception (example below). We do not want this stack track
              shown unless there is a real "error" in our system vs. invoking the
              errorPage to show "application" errors. Is there any way to supress this,
              as we are not explicitly causing this to happen. It appears to be a
              weblogic feature. This causes us problems in finding true system errors
              that might be occurring due to these non-problems showing up in the
              weblogic.log.
              Thanks for the help.

    The design of the data entry pages is such that the error page is the same
              page as the data entry page, and a validation JSP tag validates the data and
              if it finds a problem, it will set some variables and throw a JSP exception
              to redisplay the page. Unfortunately, we are forced to live with this
              design. Are you aware of any mechanism to suppress the automatic logging of
              thrown JSP exceptions in the weblogic log?

    Thanks for help.

    I managed to resolve the issue myself. Here are the details, in case anyone is interested:
    I modified the weblogic-application.xml (present under my application EAR>META-INF folder) to include org.hibernate.* and javax.persistence.* packages. Restarted the servers and redeployed the EAR (exploded). I don't see the errors anymore and the deployment was successful.
    <prefer-application-packages>
                <package-name>org.hibernate.*</package-name>
                <package-name>javax.persistence.*</package-name>

  • Weblogic BLOB Cast Exception

    We have an interesting situation where have to support our application on
    both Weblogic 6.1 SP2 using an Oracle Type 2 driver and iPlanet using an
    Oracle Type 4 driver. In our application we are using blob's, and in order
    for our blob's to work with the Type 4 driver we must do a two stage process
    where we insert an Oracle EMPTY_BLOB and then select the newly inserted
    blob, cast it to oracle.sql.BLOB and upload it using streams.
    Unfortunately, when this code runs on WLS the datasource/connection pool
    substitutes some wrapper classes (or something) behind the scenes and we get
    class cast exceptions as the blob is of type
    weblogic.jdbc.rmi.SerialOracleBlob.
    Is there any way to configure WLS connection pools/datasources so that it
    doesn't use any weblogic classes and only uses oracle classes? We currently
    have our 3rd Party Oracle drivers as the first entry in our classpath. We
    can't switch to Oracle Type 2 on iPlanet (too buggy), or this would all be
    moot and we'd simply use the more generic non-vendor specific way of
    uploading blob's. And we can't cast to weblogic classes, because then that
    would break on iPlanet.
    Here's the code snippet that we can't change, because we have to support
    Oracle Type 4 on iPlanet.
    ResultSet blobs = ustmt.executeQuery();
    blobs.next();
    Blob blob = blobs.getBlob(1);
    OutputStream blobOut = ((oracle.sql.BLOB)
    blob).getBinaryOutputStream();
    try {
    blobOut.write(attachment.getFile());
    } catch (IOException e) {
    throw new ServletException(e);
    } finally {
    try {
    blobOut.close();
    } catch (IOException e) {
    throw new ServletException(e);
    blobs.close();
    Thanks,
    Gary

    Hi Gary!
    Blob oracle extensions are implemented internally in weblogic as
    weblogic.jdbc.rmi.SerialOracleBlob. As we wrap objects internally for
    serialization purpose, we can not use oracle objects directly. So, you have to
    use SerialBlob in weblogic.

    The console does not list RealmAdapterAuthenticator I'm no WLS security expert but this suggests to me that the appropriate mbean implementation is missing from your servers mbeantypes. If you have the mbeans for a RealmAdapterAuthenticar you need to stick them under:
    /wlserver9.2/weblogic92/server/lib/mbeantypes/
    and restart the admin console.

  • Exception : JSP & EJB

    Hi,
    I'm working on a project but it doens't work perfectly.
    It use J2EE, EJB and JSP technology but I'm fresh in this field.
    At the moment, sometimes (but not for each utilisation and I don't unterdstand why !) there is a Servlet exception which is :
    A Servlet Exception Has Occurred
    Exception Report:
    javax.servlet.ServletException: Cannot create bean of class util.DocumentationServicesBean
    Root Cause:
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: class util.DocumentationServicesBean : java.rmi.ServerException: RemoteException occurred in server thread; nested exception is:
         java.rmi.RemoteException: Client not authorized for this invocation.
         at java.beans.Beans.instantiate(Beans.java:211)
         ... ... ...If someone know the reason of this problem, please let me know.
    Thanks !

    it's not a servlet exception but when ur jsp/servlet is trying to invoke the EJBs, by any means, like creating a new instance, or just getting the pre-existed data by some finder method etc. etc., some times it doesn't have sufficient rights to do that call. Then ur ejb server throws an error, which ultimately comes to the webserver in the form of ServletException.
    java.rmi.RemoteException: Client not authorized for this invocation.
    at java.beans.Beans.instantiate(Beans.java:211)check ur deployment descriptor for the different roles and their rights, and different methods and permissions for them.
    good luck,

  • Weblogic 6.1 exception

    Hi,
    I am getting a recurrent exception, any idea what could cause it?
    Thanks for you help

    Hi Valerie,
    Do you have both domain and server named as 'memberapp' ? If yes, name them
    differently. (but on the other hand 6.1sp2 won't even start if you give your
    domain and server the same name).
