Hi,
<BEA-101017> is a very generalized exception ... which is ommited by WLS if anything abnormal happens in the WebContainer specially woth any HTTP module Please see the description of this BEA Code:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs81/messages/HTTP.html
BEA-101017
Error: [context] Root cause of ServletException.
Description: [context] Root cause of ServletException, which the Web application container caught while servicing the request.
Cause:The Web application container caught an unexpected exception.
Action:Check the exception for the exact error message.
The most important thing in the stack trace is...*"the Cause of Exception is your application only.....even the line number also mentioned which is causing this issue....So Only application development team can help u in this."*
Thanks

  • Servlet exception when deploying a WAR to WebLogic 10.3.5

    Hello,
    I've got a web application in a war file that I am attempting to deploy to a test environment which runs WebLogic 10.3.5. I've got a couple of developer environments that run WebLogic 12.1.1 and 10.3.4. The application can be deployed and started on 10.3.4 and 12.1.1 without any problems. It will deploy to the server running 10.3.5, but when I attempt to start the application (Start > Servicing All Requests) then I'm getting an error.
    javax.servlet.ServletException: [HTTP:101249][ServletContext@21871606[app:HelloWeb module:HelloWeb.war path:/HelloWeb spec-version:2.5]]: Servlet class for servlet helloweb could not be loaded because the requested class was not found in the classpath . java.lang.ClassNotFoundException
    The error log doesn't offer me any additional information about the cause of the error, just this error message and a stack trace of weblogic APIs that I'm not familiar with. Upgrading from 10.3.5 to a newer version of WebLogic isn't an option -- I don't own the test environment and I'm not allowed to make changes to the application server version. I've spent a the last two days trolling for help on this error message and I'm out of ideas. Any help would be welcome.

    Sure. Right now I was trying this on just the AdminServer, but it will give the exact same problem when it's run on a managed server as well.

    it on weblogic 8.1. The application works fine. But when we load test
    the application, weblogic throws an exception. I am not able to
    understand why is weblogic throwing this exception. The exception
    doesn't originate from my code
    I am using struts 1.1 on BEA weblogic 8.1 on HP-UX 11i.
    Please help me ... I will be very gratefull for your help.

    Inside WEB-INF, i have web.xml and weblogic.xml, and classes directory with servlet classes.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanx in advance.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.
    Yes you are correct, i compiled using jdk1.5.
    but my servlet code will not compile in jdk1.4 version since i used advanced vaector classes in that.
    Is there any settings like script file that need to be changed so that i can point to my jdk1.5 compiler rather than the default one pointed by weblogic.
    Thanks in advance
    Ram

  • Java.lang.NullPointerException at weblogic.servlet.logging.LogManagerHttp.log(LogManagerHttp.java:292)

              Hi,
              intermittently we are seeing this exception in the server log files on weblogic 6.1
              sp2, I was wondering what the cause is:
              java.lang.NullPointerException
                   at weblogic.servlet.logging.LogManagerHttp.log(LogManagerHttp.java:292)
                   at weblogic.servlet.internal.HttpServer.log(HttpServer.java:835)
                   at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletResponseImpl.send(ServletResponseImpl.java:1002)
                   at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletRequestImpl.execute(ServletRequestImpl.java:2209)
                   at weblogic.kernel.ExecuteThread.execute(ExecuteThread.java:139)
                   at weblogic.kernel.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:120)

    Did your C:\Lighthammer\Security\userdata\IlluminatorUsers.xml or other files in this directory get corrupted somehow?
    If you've rebooted the box or bounced the ServletExec-xMII service, do you see anything in the SYSTEM level messages that are forced during the initialization sequence in either the Lighthammer General log or the LHSecurity General log that would give any indications to the problem?

  • The servlet weblogic.servlet.AsyncInitServlet init method failed

    I installed WLS 9.2.2 recently with my app being on 8.1.5 for a long time.
    I chose to create a new domain instead of upgrading my existing one.
    I use the eclipse 3.2.2 with the WL plugin.
    When I start the server and login to the console not using eclipse it works fine.
    Trying to start the server and login to the console gives a internal server error.
    Any idea what could be wrong? I bolded the parts where I have looked into.
    Here is the console output:

    Thanks for your replies adrian and david.
    The only thing I see different is that eclipse has different arguments when calling the jvm at the top.
    startWebLogic.cmd:
    C:\bea92\JDK150~1\bin\java -client -Xms256m -Xmx512m -XX:CompileThreshold=8000
    -XX:PermSize=48m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m -Xverify:none -da -Dplatform.home=C:\b
    ea92\WEBLOG~1 -Dwls.home=C:\bea92\WEBLOG~1\server -Dwli.home=C:\bea92\WEBLOG~1\i
    ntegration -Dweblogic.management.discover=true -Dwlw.iterativeDev= -Dwlw.testC
    onsole= -Dwlw.logErrorsToConsole= -Dweblogic.ext.dirs=C:\bea92\patch_weblogic922
    \profiles\default\sysext_manifest_classpath -Dweblogic.Name=AdminServer -Djava.s
    ecurity.policy=C:\bea92\WEBLOG~1\server\lib\weblogic.policy weblogic.Server
    eclipse:
    -hotspot -Xms32m -Xmx200m -Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled=
    Eclipse may be calling the cmd I dont know.
    I will try upgrading my eclipse like adrian said, but in the meantime I appreciate any further advice/tips.

    Hi,
    After looking into the error first i dont think you are enter the right password.
    In case if you are entering the right password then you might not have the necessary admin rights on portal.

    Thanks

    Probably. You need a Workshop-enabled domain to run webapps from
    Workshop. I know that weblogic.servlet.WlwJSPServlet is in
    server/lib/knex.jar, but I'm not sure what other jars are required in
    the system classpath.
    You'll either want to use a Workshop domain from the Config Wizard, or
    generate a Workshop domain from the Config Wizard and see what the
    system classpath is for the server and use that in your startup script.
    For processes to work, you need an Integration domain and its system
    classpath.

  • Problem wth weblogic.servlet.jsp.jspstub

    hai,
              i have three pages in my application iam calling a login page which verifies the user and gets the data from the database
              and iam showing the results in the secod page and logging from there.
              This process iam doing with a stress tool repeatedly.
              iam observing the created objects in the heapinspector the name of the product is optimiztit.
              iam observing the following contents are increasing on each login process.
              The objects which are increasing are as follows.
              weblogic.servlet.jsp.config,
              weblogic.servlet.jsp.jspstub,
              weblogic.socket.IoRecord,
              weblogic.rmi.internal.dgc.DGCServerHelper,

              and some other weblogic related objects.
              and once they reach the max heap memory my application is runnig outofmemory exception.
              do i need to follow any configration setting to arrest the above object increments.
              can any body give some help to over come this.it would be a great help for me if i get any healp.
              Any ideas/pointers would be welcome. Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
              It's peculiar that you're seeing JspStub and jsp.config instances
              increasing. Can you convert your application to a stand alone app that
              doesn't do any database access and send me the application with instructions
              on how to run it. If so, I can look into it quickly - otherwise, I can only

  • Regarding servlet exception

    Hi,
    while i am testing an application, which was deployed in weblogic , iam getting the folling error, pelase help , its littlebit urgent.
    <Error> <HTTP> <BEA-101017> <[weblogic.servlet.internal.WebAppServletContext@14d5aaf - appName: xxxxxxxxxx', name: 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxr', context-path: '/xxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx spec-version: 'null', version: 'Default_Version'] Root cause of ServletException.
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Can't load library: /xxxxxxxxx/weblogic/java/jrockit_160_05/jre/lib/i386/xawt/libmawt.so

    at java.lang.ClassLoader$NativeLibrary.load(Native Method)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary0(ClassLoader.java:1751)
    Truncated. see log file for complete stacktrace

    Hi,
    From the following exception, I think the issue could be related to the context path
    <[weblogic.servlet.internal.WebAppServletContext@14d5aaf - appName: xxxxxxxxxx', name: 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxr', context-path: '/xxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx spec-version: 'null', version: 'Default_Version']
    Did you had a chance to check the context root matching and DD (deployment descitors). Also, can I hav the system out log or the server log after you had deployed the application!!
    regards,

    am getting the following exception below. It seems the

    Any help.

    Below is my code:
    Properties prop = new Properties();
    prop.setProperty("user", "guest");
    prop.setProperty("password", "guest");
    Driver myDriver = (Driver) Class.forName
    ("weblogic.jdbc.pool.Driver").newInstance();
    conn = myDriver.connect("jdbc:weblogic:pool:RDBMSPool", prop);
    stmt = conn.prepareStatement("SELECT * FROM tblDep");
    ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery();
    ----------------------------------------------------Hi. You don't show the code that is closing the connection. You also
    don't show the scope of the connection. It must be a method variable,
    not a class or isntance variable, because servlets and JSPs exist as
    a single class instance, being run simultaneously by multiple
    threads. One thread may close the connection before another tries.
