Weblogic.store.Admin utility

Hi
          I am running weblogic 9.2 mp1
created a jmsserver and queue backed up by a persistent jdbc store
Pumped 75 text messages to the queue from a sender and didn't have any consumer to read from the queue
If i restart the server its able to detect 75 messages
          If i use the command
          weblogic.store.Admin openjdbc
          here are the results
          <Jun 10, 2008 10:28:56 AM PDT> <Info> <Store> <BEA-280071> <JDBC store "JDBCSTOR
E-0" opened table "weblogic.jms1WLStore" and loaded 0 records. For additional JD
BC store information, use the diagnostics framework while the JDBC store is open
          .>
          INFO: Store JDBCSTORE-0 opened successfully
          and then
Then i use the "dump" command to dump the store into a xml file . i cant see the actual messages and theres nothing that tells me about the 75 messages in the store
whats the correct way to use this utility

Hi,
Interesting. I doubt your using the tool incorrectly - it just seems to be printing a misleading count when it opens the store. You might try upgrading to 9.2mp3 to see if that fixes the problem.
Alternatively, if you're simply looking for a way to get statistics for an active JMS store and its "connections" on a running Weblogic server, you can use the store's JMX mbeans.

  • Format of weblogic.store.Admin "dump -deep" XML output file?

Does anyone know where I can find a detailed description of the format of the XML file created by using the "dump -deep" command within the Store Administration utility?
I ran into a problem with stuck messages in a SAF persistent store on WebLogic 10.3.2. After trying everything I could think of to get the messages moving, I resorted to recovering them from the persistent store file into XML files on the filesystem, purging them from the SAF, and then re-injecting them onto the appropriate topics. The message recovery was very straightworward with a simple utility to extract the XML for the messages from the file generated by the "dump" command in the weblogic.store.Admin Store Administration utility. (NOTE: You must use the "-deep" dump option to get the message XML.)
This process was hampered by the fact that the stuck messages were intended for more than one destination and I could not easily discern the intended destination for each. This information must be in the persistent store, but I do not know whether it is available in the "dump -deep" file.
Any insight into the dump file format would be appreciated. I could not find anything in the docs.
    Thanks!
    - Harry

There's no facility that I know of for interpreting the data in a store.Admin dump - which explains why there's no mention of such a thing in the docs. If you're using SAF agents, I think it may have been possible to boot the WL host server, and then use the WL JMS "message management" utilities to "export" the messages. If you still need help, I recommend opening a case with customer support - make sure to save the original backing store (.DAT files or tables with file stores).

It looks to me that your stores are incorrectly configured, targetted or or just simply messed up. First thing I would do here is check the configuration and targetting of the JDBC Stores and make sure that each JMS server is using it own store and database tables. You may find that it's a really simple thing like creating two sets of tables on the same database, but making sure that they have different prefixes ...

This is a known issue with the weblogic.Admin utility. BEA is planning tofix
this and provide proper return codes in the next major release (probablywithin
    6 months).

  • Weblogic.Admin utility !!!

    Hi All,
Will weblogic.Admin utility cause any load on the servers (performance issue), if used extensively to get the below runtime data of a domain
    --> server state using GETSTATE
    --> ExecuteQueueRuntime
    --> JMSDestinationRuntime
    --> MessagingBridgeRuntime
    weblogic version : 8.1 sp5
    Cheers,
    Thalla.

    Hi Thalla,
One of our Production Env is setup to fetch Thread Dumps and Many kind of Runtime Details of <b>WLS 9.2 MP2</b> using "weblogic.Admin" utility Over SSL ...<b>At regular Interval of 6-Minutes</b> From past 2-3 Years we never saw any Performance related issue because of this utility...
I hope the same behaviour we will find in WLS8.1 SP5 as well.. as we have already tested it in WLS9.2 MP2 ..so i can assure you that In WLS9.2 MP2...It works with Charm without any performance impact...And I expect that It will Just work Extremely great in WLS8.1 SP5 as well..

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply.
Yes, Node Manager has configured on Managed Server's host machine.
So can't we start admin server by using weblogic.admin utility if admin server is stopped?

  • Java weblogic.Admin Utility

    Hi All,
Im using java weblogic.Admin utility to monitor the Weblogic Resources,in local it is working fine .....but when i move the code to production environment im getting the error message "NO Mbeans Found".....please help me to resolve this issue
    Note: im using weblogic 10.3
    commands im using
java weblogic.Admin -url t3://IP:PORT -username USRNAME -password PWD GET -pretty -type JVMRuntime -property HeapSizeCurrent
java weblogic.Admin -url t3://IP:PORT -username USRNAME -password PWD GET -pretty -type JVMRuntime -property HeapFreeCurrent
java weblogic.Admin -url t3://IP:PORT -username USRNAME -password PWD GET -pretty -type JDBCConnectionPoolRuntime -property Name -property State -property ActiveConnectionsHighCount -property CurrCapacity -property MaxCapacity
java weblogic.Admin -url t3://IP:PORT -username USRNAME -password PWD GET -pretty -type JMSServerRuntime -property Name -property MessagesCurrentCount -property MessagesPendingCount -property MessagesReceivedCount
java weblogic.Admin -url t3://IP:PORT -username USRNAME -password PWD GET -pretty -type JMSDestinationRuntime -property Name -property MessagesCurrentCount -property MessagesPendingCount -property MessagesReceivedCount

    Hi Ashwin,
If you do "GET -pretty -type JVMRuntime" then definately u shouldnot get the "No MBeans Found" because every WLS Server binds the JVMRuntime Object.
But for others "JMSDestinationRuntime" and "JMSServerRuntime" and "JDBCConnectionPoolRuntime" MBeans it is possible that u may get "No MBeans Found" if you try to run the weblogic.Admin utility by passing the URL of a Server which is not a target of any JDBC/JMS systems.
It means if we haven't targeted any DataSource or JMSServer/Resources to any WebLogic Server then in that case there will be no MBean registry inside that Server. In that case u will find *"No MBeans Found"*
    Example
<h3><font color=maroon>Secnario-A</font></h3> Suppose I have created a DataSource (DS1) and targeted it to ManagedServer (MS1) but while executing "weblogic.Admin" utility if i will pass the URL of ManagedServer (MS2) or AdminServer then I will get "No MBeans Found" Because that JDBCConnectionPoolRuntime is not available on MS2 or in AdminServer.
    <h3><font color=maroon>Secnario-B</font></h3>
    <font color=red>
Even if u are passing the Correct Target Server URL to the weblogic.Admin utility .... though there is also another Possible Reason in which u will get *"No MBeans Found"*.....When the JDBCPool is in Disabled State. It Means as soon as a Module JMS/JDBC/...etc gets Disabled...It's MBean Object gets destroyed (Unregistered). SO Please make sure that all your JDBC or JMS resources are Active and Running properly....
    </font>

  • How can I get Airport Admin Utility to Locate My Extreme Base Station?

In an effort to repair some network connection problems I was having with my ISP (or so I thought), I reset my Airport Extreme Base station today. I have been unable to get it back to normal since. I'm currently connected to my ISP through an Ethernet connection directly from my modum to my iBookG4. Now, when I try to re-established the old network connections with my Airport Extreme, I cannt get the system to recognize a base station. When I use the Airport Admin Utility, the window pops up and *** me to select a base station, but there are none in the window. When I rescan, nothing comes up. The airport setuup utility has been no help either. Any ideas how to get my base station back? Thanks!

    Hi, Tesserax:
Thanks so much for your reply. I tried the direct connection, as suggested in a previous message I saw on this board. Didn't work for some reason. Lucky for me, one of my neighbors works in the tech department of a nearby Apple Store. Last night he was able to get the base station working again. I wish I could share how he did it on this message board, but it was beyond my modest understanding. Again, thanks for taking the time to reply!
    Best, Kevin

  • Weblogic Portal Admin Console is not displayed after the ear deployment

    Hi
There is a Weblogic portal application deployed in the Weblogic Server 9.2 mp3 . The application is fine , when opened with the browser, but the problem is the portal admnistrator console is not opened.
The application is deployed in a clustered environment with an Admin server and one managed server. The domain is configured for Production Mode and running in an Solaris environment.
I had another similar kind of domain where the application is running fine and the weblogic portal admin console is also fine.
The following difference is observed in both the server logs. I see that there is some problem with the initialization of /WEB-INF/beehive-netui-config.xml. The log continues with the messages like "< Pushing body text '" etc.

how did you create this domain? Is this dataSource defined - portalFrameworkPoolAlwaysXA? is it targetted to cluster? did you get errors on startup related to this dataSource?

  • Starting WebLogic. Admin (Mac and WLS v12c)

    Hi all,
I'm new to WebLogic (using it for a class), and we are supposed to use the WebLogic.admin utility…but I don't know how to get it to start! I need to know how to start it and issue commands, etc.
Here is a c+p from an email I sent to someone asking for help: "The next thing is really important, because it has to do with the WebLogic.admin utility. In short, I can't seem to find it. I tried searching with finder (Mac's "My Computer" type thing), and nothing comes up. What is more interesting is that when I try to run the setDomainEnv.sh script, nothing happens. Meaning, I give terminal the command, and it simply moves to the next line when I click ENTER, and nothing is printed to the screen. Theoretically, it could be doing something, but I find it hard to imagine that since it doesn't print anything out. I somewhat suspect these two things are related.
I thought maybe the Mac version doesn't have it, but due to the setDomainEnv.sh business, I suspect I'm just missing something…"
Thanks for any help you can give!

To use weblogic.Admin, first run the setWLSEnv script (this is located in the $WL_HOME/server/bin directory), for example,
    [weblogic@blabla bin]$ . ./setWLSEnv.sh
    CLASSPATH=...

  • Airport Admin Utility cant find ABS

    Hi all,
I have an Airport Base Station (Snow) running firmware 4.0.9 and am using Airport Admin Utility 3.1.1 on OSX 10.2.8. Yesterday, I had a local computer store update the firmware from 4.0.8 to 4.0.9. I took the Snow ABS into the store because the wireless connection was being dropped off and on. They updated the firmware, but otherwise found no problems with the ABS. I get the ABS home, login to the ABS, using the reset network name and password the store had reset them to, and re-set the ABS to my network name and 128-bit WEP hex password. Everything proceeded without any errors I thought.
After exiting Airport Admin Utility (AAU), and re-set my location to use the Airport card, I did indeed see my old network name. Selecting it, I get prompted for the password as I expected. I select WEP 128-bit hex password, type it in and get an error message indicating that password is incorrect! I try typing the password in several more times, both in hex and ASCII. No luck!
I figured I screwed something up, so I thought a hard reset on the ABS would allow me to get back into the ABS, via the AAU, but no luck. Using my "Airport Reload" location to connect, via the AAU, to my ABS, I can't seem to find the ABS at all now.
When I updated the firmware myself last June, 2005, I did see my ABS in the AAU list.
I'm pretty sure I did get a hard re-set to occur, since I now see "No Airport networks in range" when I click the Airport icon.
Any ideas what to do next?
    Ed

    Hi Stuart,
I've followed the instructions on both of the Apple articles you'd provided links to. The result is no go. Can't get the Airport Admin Utility to find my base station. Can't even get AAU to authenticate the password I type in for the "Other" basestation. I've tried both a hard and a soft re-set of the basestation. I've also tried for the "Airport Reload" location (as recommended in one of the articles you linked) both the "Manual" IP configuratiuon and the "Using DHCP" configuration. Both a no go.
Do you know where the configuration file for the Snow basestation is located? The error message I get from AAU indicates that there was a problem reading the config file. Since I never explicitly saved one from the AAU menu before, I don't know the default path, nor the default filename for the basestation's config file.
    Any ideas?
    Ed

  • Airport admin utility and Vista

I have upgraded to Vista and found that I can't use my Airport Express any more. According to an employee at a local Apple Store there is a compatibility problem between Vista and the Airport Admin Utility.
Is there any news on when an update will be made available?

I can use the airport express (AX)'s airport admin utility with my Toshiba laptop (vista pre-installed); I installed it out of the box when I bought the AX. Using it was not intuitive for someone not a little familiar with networking i would guess. Many report not "seeing" the AX when they scan/rescan using the apple utility on their windows PC. My suggestion is to use the "other" button and type in the factory default IP address for the AX unit which is 10.0.1.1 and the factory default password which is public.
You should then be able to access the AX settings.
--One caveat: this requires that your PC (i.e. windows networking) is detecting the AX wireless signal enabling you to connect to the AX itself.
--ALSO, If you or someone else previously changed the AX settings to be a closed network (i.e. AX won't "broadcast" it's SSID) you won't necessarily see it in your network connections unless you have previously set up your PC to connect to the specific network name specified in the AX settings. (This is a security measure some may use to prevent the average, uninformed wireless leech from detecting your network, but with a little reading and a few utilities readily available on the net you can still detect it. And honestly IMHO as far as the avg guy leeching off you goes, just set-up a security protocol like WPA/WPA2 or WEP and forget about hiding you broadcast SSID. Helps prevent confusion when friends need to use your network. If you like this kind of info check-out: http://www.ethicalhacker.net/).
If you have fiddled with the settings previously and don't mind a reset where you'll lose prior config settings on the AX, you can do a hard reset to factory default:
    see http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=108044
    for how to do that.
In Vista, if you saved the settings for your connection to the AX (assuming you had it working at some time)and then do a factory default reset, you may have problems getting on the AX again b/c Windows is using the old info for the connection. I found it easiest to delete the old connection that was saved in the Network and Sharing Center area under Manage wireless networks, which allowed me to connect to the factory default settings AX wireless network by choosing from available networks.
OH and remember there is about a 45sec delay after updating your settings before the AX network is up again. YOU WILL DROP YOUR CONNECTION (temporarily) when you update settings in the AX.
That was a bit of a ramble;hope it helps some. It's info I pieced from various posts on this forum and apple support docs.

  • Extreme is going back, new admin utility is flawed

This is long, but bottom line is my advice is to wait until Apple gets things ironed out unless you have a system without multiple devices.
    - Multiple USB drives hooked to a PC running iTunes with a wireless G card
    - A macbook
    - One Airport Express serving as a router and a USB print server
    - 3 other AEs that I stream audio to from the PC or the macbook to 3 different stereos
    - A PC laptop I sometimes use with iTunes
    - A Palm that I use to control iTunes with a VPN
    - A network printer that my PCs talked to via Ethernet and the macbook wirelessly through the express router via the USB port.
Everything shares the internet through the Express router and can stream to the other Expresses.
The macbook is used by my wife and shares the iTunes library hooked to the PC. I wanted the new extreme because I could hook the hard drives to it so she wouldn’t have to go through the hassle of sharing my library and I wouldn’t have to leave the PC running when I travel. She’s not very computer savvy. I thought the wireless N would be good for future updates.
The extreme comes with a new admin utility you have to use. I configured it and it looked to work but couldn’t see any of the expresses. I reset an express and configured it and iTunes could see the express and it would stream music to it but now the admin couldn’t see either the extreme or the express. It could configure another express after I reset it but iTunes couldn’t use it because the admin utility couldn’t see the IP address of the router and assigned a bad address to the express. I could manually assign an IP address and iTunes could see it.
After a few hours on the phone with Apple (they first tried to tell me I didn’t qualify for support because my extreme wasn’t in their system even though I bought it direct, so I had to bully them to help me) it worked, sort of.
Each time I configured an express or changed a setting on the extreme it would screw up the security settings for the extreme so my computers couldn’t see it even though the green light was on. Every time I changed anything and updated I had to delete all keychain settings and reset the passwords. Then
-I kept getting dropouts with iTunes when I never had them with before
    -nothing could print,
-the extreme wouldn’t let the Palm join the network
I went back to my original setup using an express as a router, but now it couldn’t see the other expresses and when I tried to reset them even the old admin kept giving them invalid IP addresses. It didn't even work if I assigned the IP address manually. I reloaded the old software that came with the AE and reconfigured and now everything works.
What a disaster. I will be returning the Extreme ASAP.

I bought a new Airport Extreme n and have been unable to set up an Airport Express to extend the network.
Streaming with AirTunes is no problem, but extending the network has been exasperating and impossible.
I exchanged the Airport Extreme n for a new one, factory re-set everything countless times and no luck.
I think that some of the advice for this problem in these forums is coming from people who have not got the hardware concerned and so they are making assumptions based on Apple's reputation.
For example, some are referring to Apple documents which relate to legacy Extreme products and not the n.
I have trawled through every post and Apple document and manual without success.
My own conclusion is that the new AirPort Utility programme does not work properly and/or there is a generic fault in Extreme n's.
A clue here is that Apple's latest documentation says to set up the extended network manually, so that says a lot for their auto set up wizard!
If anyone out there has successfully got an Express to extend their Extreme n network then please tell me how you did it.
Meanwhile I think Apple should suspend their series of Microsoft batering advertisements until their hard/software works.
I stand ready to be corrected and will be delighted to hear if anyone has been luckier than me.
I hope this thread is not marked closed before it finds an answer.

  • HT1338 How do I update osx 10.4.8 if the network admin utility is not compatible with my apple airport extreme and I an't connect to the internet?

I was given an iMac desktop computer, operating system OSX 10.4.8 (2011). The network admin utility is not compatiable with my airport extreme router, and I am unable to connect to the internet to update the software.   Can someone please tell me how to update the software or download a newer version on the network admin, or how to connect this computer to the internet?
    Thanks,

I assume you have a PPC.  There is another update for the Intel.

Download. Do not expand.  Copy to your mac.  double click on dmg icon.
Have you tried an ethernet cable?
    Ethernet Bridge
Ethernet Bridge  "The versatile Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge can make any wired Ethernet-equipped device a part of your wireless network."  from linksys example: http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-RE1000-Wireless-N-Range-Extender/dp/B005FDXMJS/ref =sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314563758&sr=8-1
This linksys bridge is the safest solution since it doesn't require any Mac OS drivers.
Airport ExpressAirport Express is an external unit and you can configure it as a bridge.  802.11n ( I bevieve you will need a more modern version of Mac OS X to configure.  Sadly, Apple uses a configuration program to configure, not a web browser. )
