WebLogic to Web Sphere Migration problem

Hi,
I have a problem on Migrating from Web Logic to Web Sphere in RSA for websphere 7.0 .
On clicking prepare for deployment there displaying a pop up error "Deploy has encountered a problem". in details
The error is:
Deploying hqp-ejb
Deployment from com.ibm.etools.ejbdeploy.EJBDeployer had errors:
Error generating findTest(int) query for bean Foo(Abstract schema name=Foo). Error=query cannot be pushed down
Query='SELECT Object (a) FROM Foo As a WHERE a.id = ?1 AND a.code = 'M''.
This application is running fine in Web Logic.
The queries are inside ejb-jar.xml.
Please help to fix the problem.

LiveCycle's install bits for WebSphere and WebLogic are different. You simply shouldn't install the bits for WebLogic and then try deploying to WebSphere.

Finally I found some light on my problem related to the firewall.
Seems like the web Sphere gives you the option to specify the port for the application server to communicate with the client. Can I do similar stuff with Sun Application server? Or I ask our customer to use web logic instead?

Configuring the IIOP listener from the administration interface is possible in Sun application serverThis let you configure the initial port when ejb client connects to the application server but not the port the as talks back to the client.

Web template migration (3.5 - 7.0) & stylesheet is not found/used

Hey,
we just made some web template migrations from 3.5 to 7.0. After the migration was done successfully, the migrated stylesheet link is not working anymore. This came apparent by opening the web template in the browser where the standard colours and fonts of the sap css files are shown.
Does anybody know, how to add a own stylesheet within the WAD 7.0? The problem is, that obviously after migrating a template the link is not good anymore.

Hi Andreas,
I am on BI 7.0 and tring to change the look and feel of the web template by changing the Portal theme.
When I go to Portal themes I see an option for BI 3.0 reports and not BI 7.0 reports and when I make the changes to BI 3.0 reports they do not affect in 7.0 templates.
Can you please let me know how did you solve your problem, because changing Portal theme does not seem to help for BI 7.0 reports.

As you suggested there is a problem in servlet configuration, I checked out Configuration in Web-INF/Web.xml file there i dint found Resource Reference to websphere.So I Added the below Lines, Now it's Working.

Web sphere portlets not working

i have this provider registered in oracle portal as http://localhost:9080/portal/providers
which are hosted on a web sphere application server but when i click on a link rather then
going to http://localhost:9080/portal/main.do it is going to http://localhost/portal/main.do
and is removing the 9080 port number and opening outside the portlet context

Most likely you forgot to use the pdk struts tags to render your link.

New browser window from CRM Web UI causes problems

Hi Experts,
We have several links to internal web sites that CRM users can access from the web UI. Problem is, whenever one of these links are selected, the user looses whatever it was they were doing in CRM and the main window displays the following message:
The object you have selected is starting in a new browser window. You can continue working normally in the current application. However, you may have to navigate back to the page you were working on.
Anyway to prevent this from happening? Would very much appreciate any advice.

If your requirement is to open some URL say google.com etc in a now window, then there are only 2 ways
1) Use Transaction Launcher
2) Use PopUp Window.
1) If you use transaction launcher, and created the link in your direct link group then on click of the link, the URL will open in new window but you cant avaoid the message that you get in the current window. Also, if users POPUP Blocker is ON, user will never come to know why the new window has not launch.
2) This is very simple and straight forward approch for opening URL. However, POPUP windows in WEB UI are modal windows, so say on click on a button on Account Overview Screen, i open google.com in a popup then unless i close this popup , i can not work on the account overview screen . However, you can see the account overview screen as it is and you can resume back when the popup is closed. Also you can define the even handler on close event of pop up so you can pass the data to & fro between the webclient view and the pop up.
to open some extrenal URL in a PopUp , You will need to create a blank view and attach it to a window. In .htm file of the view, you can use tag IFRAME and call your external URL here.

OK, then pls follow below steps;
- Go to step 'Create Users' in solman_setup System Preparation scenario and make sure the user SM_INTERN_WS has a green status. Use the 'Test Login' button to make sure the user is not locked and has correct credentials maintained in solman_setup
- Immediately after checking the user status, navigate to Configure Connectivity->Enable Web Services and execute again the 'Create Logical Ports' automatic activity, in order to propagate the correct credentials to the Logical Port definitions.
- If the above operation is not successful, repeat the two steps above, providing a different user Id in 'Create Users' step, eg SM_INTERN_W1. This will prevent situations where the user gets locked by Logical Ports using an obsolete password.

Directory structure of web sphere

i did not get the directory structure of the web sphere 6.1 to deploy a sample application like webapps->dirname->WEB-INF->classes etc in tomcat server.
The project is developed under tomcat but it has to be convert to the web sphere.

Error in proxy to Web sphere MQ series

When i am working on proxy to Web sphere MQ series using JMS adapter.
In the message monitoring we are getting the following error:
"Exception caught by adapter framework. The JMSSender returned no JMSText Message to use. Must abort send process."

Photoshop/Elements to Revel Photo Migration Problem!

What happened to my Photoshop/element photos? They were supposedly migrated, but I don't see them! I have no albums in my Revel account.I had a paid subscriiption and it was cancelled back in or around February, and told that the photos would be moved over to REVEL...Can anyone help me to get them back?

First, thanks Pattie for following up with me. I am going to check my backed up hard drives to see if my photoshop materials are on them. It will take me a few days, as I have only small amounts of time to research it at this time. maybe a break will come in a day or two for a determination.

Is it possible you logged into Photoshop.com with a different email, or is it possible that you did not set up your Elements to sync with Photosho.com? These are the two main reasons users can not find their files.
The Photoshop.com account created in 2009 with the email you use to log in to this forum has no files in it, and therefore, nothing migrated to the Revel account with the same login. You do have a Revel account with the same login, but it is also empty since nothing migrated.

Just so you'll know Oracle9iAS also includes apache as the HTTP server.
As Suncan said, if you want to use Forms on the Web you need the Forms Server engine, and it comes bundled in Oracle9iAS. You'll save yourself a lot of headache if you just install Oracle9iAS and have everything pre-configured for you thus reducing maintanance costs.
