Webserver access
I know I've been through this before but for the life of me cannot remember how to remedy the situation. This time I'll definitely write it down and put it in a safe place if anyone can help.
HD>Library>webserver>documents will not come up for me since I installed Leopard 2 months ago. I don't go in often but do put things in there for family to see at certain times. For those of you familiar with it, it will start with http://xx.xx.xx.xx or something like that with numerals. I can't find it in Sys Prefs now since updating to 10.5. Anyone know what I need to do. It is just showing the Apache page now.
Connie
Actually, what I probably need is to open a port but where in the world do I do it now in Leopard? TIA
Connie

Cannot get access to web server in DMZ
Once again I find myself struggling with NAT and ACLs on a 5505. I am unable to access our new webserver in the DMZ.
The server can ping the DMZ interface of the 5505, but that's it. I've tried allowing ICMP in to it from the outside to test, but I think I'm making a bigger mess of it each time. I've been reading and reading and trying different things, including following Cisco's example for 9.1 but nothing has worked.

Sun Java System Access Manager 7.1 config. failed during installation
{color:#0000ff}Hi,
I have installed sun java communication suite 5 on a single host on sun solaris 10.
I have installed required packages and it works fine.
But as per organization need, I have to change domain name.
So i have uninstalled everything and tried to install again with new domain name.
I have made proper entries in hosts file and resolve.conf file.
But duing the first phase of installation only , i failed in configuring access manager 7.1
I have also cerate same scenario in my test environment, but everytime i face the same error.
and sun java access manager 7.1 fails in first stage of installation only.
So would like to know the proper installation procedure while i change the domain name on same hardware...
I have checked both installation logs & summary logs.
But no error, no failed , no severe.
Attached is the summary of installation logs.

Kindly let us know how to proceed further as we are waiiting some reply from your team.As I already advised in your previous posting (http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5359095), you are best off re-installing solaris from scratch and installing Communication Suite 6 update 1 if you cannot get Access Manager 7.1 configured.

Images, css not appearing properly after accessing the reverse proxy page.
Usecase :
1) OHS1 with mod_osso agent deployed.
2) OHS1 configured as reverse proxy. It points to the webserver(OHS2) of the app1.
OHS1(mod_osso agent installed)-->OHS2(app1 webserver)
3) httpd.conf entry in OHS1:
ProxyRequests Off
<Proxy *>
Order deny,allow
Allow from all
</Proxy>
ProxyPass /test/ http://tkcltkcl.padma.xxx.com:8088/test/
ProxyPassReverse /test/ http://tkcltkcl.padma.xxx.com:8088/test/
4) The direct url for appl1 works as per expectation. The reverse proxy redirects from the OHS1 correctly to the app1 OHS webserver accessing the app1 url.But the contents in the redirected app1 url are not aligned properly.Images, css, placement of html links are not appearing properly on the page.
Do we need to do any other configuration in the revere proxy setup so as to avoid the misalignment on the redirected page?
Thanks.Hi:
Thanks for the reply! I have been UTTERLY scrupulous about
keeping precisely time-matched and points-in-my-process-matched
copies of the project folder for logical, "scientific" testing in
RH5 and RH7, on precisely matched content.
I have never even tried to open an RH7-processed copy of the
project in RH5 because I was warned strongly against this action.
It boils down to this; I cleaned up, FANATICALLY, all those
illegitmate filenames, ran the project again in 5, still got
impermissible missing images (and I mean MORALLY impermissible,
because I'm doing the right thing!)
Then, I took that project folder, copied it, and opened the
exact same ingredients, via the .xpj file, in RH7. Same missing
images.
WAIT! Left out something important in first post! Dang; this
was important! I've fixed missing images, had them appear properly
upon compilation, then had others that HAD been right, come out
missing. Have also had reimported, re-placed images come out upon
compilation following repair, and then go missing again on third or
later, subsequent compilations. Maddening.
Am EXTREMELY reluctant to delete CPD file, because the last
time I did that, I lost EXTENSIVE work I'd done on TOC and Index.
Not cool at all.
Hope this wasn't too cranky; truly grateful for help. Just
very frustrated.
Thanks! -
Hello,
We are using Webserver with Appserver Loadbalancer plugin to load balance AccessManager's(two) and BEA policy agents. Load balancer is working fine when we just test AccessManagers. After that we have changed BEA policy agents to point to the load balancer rather than access manager directly. In this case, BEA Agent accessing the load balancer plug-in to get authentication. But, it is failing during the authentication. The Webserver access log shows, POST '/amserver/amauthserver 500'. Howerver, if I shutdown one access manager then BEA PA is working perfectly fine going to Webserver LB.
Does anyone know why this is happening? If you need further information, please let me know.
I see in AM logs that, when ever BEA PA url being called, it is not sticking to one AM causing this issue. Both AM logs are being updated during the test.J2EE agents are using authContext based authentication.
This uses a series of XML over HTTP(s) calls which must hit the same JVM otherwise it will fail.
Configure the LB to fall back to client-IP based stickyness if no other stickyness criteria can be fullfilled.
BTW if you don't set the amSDK property
com.iplanet.am.naming.ignoreNamingService=true
then the Agent will still try to contact the backend AM server directly.
-Bernhard
BTW why do you use AS's loadbalancing plugin at all? -
Cisco ASA 5505 Site to Site VPN
Hello All,
First time posting to the forums. I've been working with Cisco ASA 5505 for a number of months and recently I purchased a 2nd ASA with the goal of setting up Site to Site VPN tunnel. It look so simple from the number of videos that I have watched on the internet. But when I have done it suprise suprise it didn't work for me ... I have deleted the tunnels a number of times and attempted to recreate them. I am using the VPN wizard in the ADM to create the tunnel. Both the asa are 5505 and have the same same firmware etc.
I would appreciate any help that can be directed towards this issue please. Slowly losing my mind

: endHi,
Thanks for the help to date
I now have the Site to Site working but there is one little issue I have. If I try to RD to a server through the tunnel it will not allow connection on the first attempt however if I ping that host and then attempt to RD it will allow the connection. It looks like the host is asleep until it receives traffic through the tunnel. Is this thje correct behaviour.
See below the details:

How to audit the the Authentication and Authorization in AM.
I'm using AM7, I want to know how can I audit the Authentication and Authoriztion, for example, who? from where? when? Authentication/Authorization to which application?
I looked for the log files, but find they can't be used to show an audit result directly, is there any tool to do the audit job?
Thanks!Assuming that you are using a Unix platform to run JES AM, you can find accesslog at /var/opt/SUNWam/logs. If you dont have any logs there, may be you have enable them in the AMConfig.properties and recycle AM.
Each WebServer or J2EE Web Container that is protected by JES Policy Agent is capable of producing Audit logs which will carry information you are looking for. For example every HTTP request that passes through a protected WebServer or Webcontainer can log UserID, SSOToken, Time of access, Authorization result, resource requested. By default PolicyAgents dont log "Success" authorizations. You can change that by enabling "LOG_BOTH" on the logging attribute.
If you can customize the WebServer access logs, then you can trap the User's source IP, UserID along with all other standard things that you can log on a webserver such as any HTTP Header element.
JES has pretty robust logging mechanism built for security audits.
If you still cant find what you are looking for, then be specific about where you are running into problems.

Using iWeb on other servers than dot MAC?
Can people confirm that one can use iWeb with other servers than Apple's dot Mac site? The fine print says: *iWeb publishing requires Internet and webserver access (.Mac recommended). So from that I guess it is feasible but is it easy to set up?
Thanks
RudyAfter the sales rep at the Apple store confirmed vehemently that I would lose no functionality publishing to my own server, I was disappointed to discover this was not the case.
I wanted to use my own webserver, since there is a perfectly capable apache server already running on my iMac. I do understand that Apple wants to sell their dotmac product, but they have stranded too many users with their approach on iWeb.
I upgraded to iLife 06 specifically for iWeb, and I feel cheated by the withdrawal of functionality unless I buy their dotmac product. -
Strange issue on newly installed 5510
Hi all,
A couple issues came up after installing our new 5510, a couple sites that uses the same ISP as our's had issues, one where we can email them but their incoming to us wasn't working, and another site we couldn't browse on the web.
This all worked after putting back the old firewall. I was wondering and it might be a dns issue with our isp's and the asa could be blocking on the outside int, on the old firewall I have the trust to untrust allow dns outgoing, that setting is not on the asa since it's inside int has 100 rule. I also talked to the IT dept of the site that had incoming email issues, he said 2 of their Exchange servers are connected to the same isp as ours, most sites worked and email, but there might be more we just haven't tried yet. For now I have our old firewall till I figure out what's causing some sites to not work on the asa.
update - I added my object group DNS-SERVERS on the outside int, I'll test again to see if the sites in question works
here's my latest config, thanks in advanced.

Message was edited by: CARLO DOMINGUEZHi Julio, actually I think I'm not out of the woods yet, one of my users say a customer can't send us email, we can send to them fine, I see it go out on the exchange console queue, but incoming somehow it just goes to nowhere, there's no logs indicating an error or an NDR to the sender, they wanted to put back the old firewall, but most of our emails in and out are ok, just one customer, I test for a ptr record and some of the free dns tools come out ok, there's one place that says our ptr fails but it's one place. I'm stumped, it all seems to happen after the new firewall.
update - looks like it's back to normal again after I redid my dns acl, I added a group object for dns tcp-udp instead of just tcp, mail seems to flow again. -
IDVD doesn't open_and never did
Hi, I have a G4 10.4.1
Whenever I try to open iDVD it will say that it won't open cuz there is no drive to burn DVDs. But a couple of month ago I got an extern DVD burner and it still won't open. I posted here before and was told that it doesn't work with an extern dvd burner (La Cie by the way...so it is for Mac). But reading the different topics here it seems that people are able to burn DVD's with an external DVD burner.
Was there something wrong from the beginning on that iDVD never opened (I got the computer in 2003)?
Is there a chance that I will be able to burn with iDVD since Toast doesn't really allow individual backgrounds.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks a lot.

Sounds like you have iLife '03. iDVD 3 required an internal SuperDrive. SkipHaughay is correct. You will be able to burn to the external LaCie with iLife '06 (iDVD 6).
Update to 10.4.6 before installing iLife '06 to get all the themes for iDVD and iMovie installed.
Here are the system requirements for iLIfe '06:
iLife '06 System Requirements
• Macintosh computer with a PowerPC G4, PowerPC G5, or Intel Core processor; 733MHz or faster for iDVD
• 256MB of RAM, 512MB recommended
• Mac OS X v10.3.9 or v10.4.3 or later; v10.4.4 recommended
• iTunes 6.0.2 and QuickTime 7.0.4 (included)
• DVD drive for installation
• 10GB of available disk space
• High-definition video requires 1GHz G4 or faster and 512MB of RAM.
• Burning DVDs requires an Apple SuperDrive or compatible third-party DVD burner.
• iPhoto print services are available in the U.S., Canada, Japan, and select European countries; requires Internet access; fees and terms apply.
• .Mac account required for iPhoto Photocast publishing and recommended for iWeb. The .Mac service is available to persons age 13 and older. Annual membership fee and Internet access required. Terms and conditions apply.
• iWeb requires Internet and webserver access (.Mac recommended). The .Mac service is available to persons age 13 and older. Annual membership fee and Internet access required. Terms and conditions apply.
• Mac OS X v10.4.4 required for iMovie HD themes, iDVD themes, iPhoto Photocast publishing, and iChat recording in GarageBand. iChat video conferencing requires broadband Internet connection; fees may apply.
G4 DP 1.25 GHz 2GB RAM 4 Drives 770GB Mac OS X (10.4.6) 2 SuperDrives (SL 8X & DL 16X) -
Can't edit button text - 6.0.2
iDVD 6.0.2
I'm unable to edit chapter button text - I can't select individual buttons, therefore can't highlight the text to change it. Clicking on a button selects the main title for that screen, not the button. "Select All Buttons" will allow me to change font/size for all the buttons on that menu, but not edit text. I'm using the "Fun" theme. Any help would be appreciated.
PhilCould this be the problem?:

1. I have chosen the "Reflection" theme template.
2. I have used the edit drop zone feature and imported jpgs for the motion slides that move from right to left.
3. I have dragged a .mov from my desktop and placed it in the area of the translucent pane in the template, a yellow dot and a box with the file name appearred.
4. When I tried to adjust the location of the movie on the pane and edit its name by selecting it the template name box to the right "Reflection Main" is highlighted and moves as if it was selected, while my mouse is still on the movie name.
I have tried going to the edit menu and selected "select none" and it does de-select the Reflection Main box but the process repeats itself when I have tried again.
Also when I review the project and try to start the movie by clicking on the file name - it is not selectable - nothing happens.
I am tring to make a DVD that will auto start to the slide show of the reflection template and when one clicks on the movie name it will then play the movie.
Please help,
jimis the rest of my system adequite enough?

How to enable syslog error logging in CF801?
Its old & documented bug #47314 [http://www.adobe.com/support/coldfusion/releasenotes/mx/knownissues_mx_j2ee_p2.html]
In the ColdFusion MX Administrator,on the Debugging & Logging > Logging Settings page, the Use operating system logging facilities option does not work. If you select it, restarting your application server throws the following error:
log4j:ERROR No syslog host is set for SyslogAppender named "null".
I got the same error.
Are there any solutions to enable it? Can I setup it by hands(edit some files)??
thanksno such feature outthere, there is a field in the tables that will tell you the time a record was last updated cross reference that to your webserver access logs .. maybe that helps
we use SVN as a source depository for any code. The only way to promote the code form Dev to QA is to have it checked in, hence somewhat being able to identify who changed what -
I'm implementing charts using JasperReports, which uses JFreeChart as a back end. Does anyone know how to configure the jfree logging to turn it off? Everytime I run a chart I get a whole pile of garbage (INFOs) spewed to my screen which really hinders debugging.

Dear All,
Thanks in advance.
I am compiling an .as file with mxmlc on the fly using PHP.
CODE:
exec("mxmlc example.as",$retval,$success);
print_r($retval);
The output of above is just:
Array ( [0] => Loading configuration file /site/fsdk/frameworks/flex-config.xml )
Whereas actually, when I execute "mxmlc example.as" (From command line linux) I get many errors as:
public class My_273860 extends Sprite asdfasfasf
^
I want to catch all the errors:
Please help,
Thanks.Perhaps, and i'm really just guessing here, but perhaps there's a problem with your webserver accessing the configuration file, and mxmlc simply stops there.
I'm guessing that it's not actually producing any more output otherwise it'd probably show it, so perhaps there's a difference between you running it from commandline vs from php:
One thing that changes is the user (your user vs apache) and possibly environment variables, so you might want to double check apache/php can access the configuration path.
