Website is not centered in Mozilla Firefox

Hello,
Our website was designed by a developer with whom we no longer can get in touch with. We have a small issue and we just can not figure out how to resolve it so we are turning to you for assistance.
When you open our website http://nflalumnisouthflorida.org in Internet Explorer it is aligned properly in the center of the page, however when we open it in Mozilla Firefox it is displayed on the left side.
I am sure it is a simple oversight when it was originally developed, however we can not find the proper line in the code to correct this.
Please help.
Thank you in advance for your attention and assistance,
NFL Alumni South Florida Chapter Team

  • Why is it that image grayscaler code for website is not functioning with Mozilla Firefox, yet it does to other browser?

I just noticed that my code(in my blog site), which is a ordinary code that allows image to turn into its grayscale form and hover its original color, is not functioning with Mozilla Firefox browser. But with other browsers, it's working. I hope you can help me with this little issue. Thank you!

Does it use a CSS rule similar to:
    filter: grayscale(100%)
This property is not yet implemented in Firefox. It is scheduled to be implemented in Firefox 34, according to https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/filter

  • We do not understand what Mozilla Firefox means by Firefox Final Release Channel

We are a university that uses the Blackboard Vista 8 product. In order for our students to complete their courses online in Blackboard, they have to use compatible and certified browsers. The Blackboard vendor has a website detailing which browsers the students should use. The URL is http://kb.blackboard.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=75071574. No one understands what the vendor (Blackboard) or Mozilla Firefox means by the phrase "Firefox (Final Release Channel)." Does this mean the latest version of Firefox? If so, why not say the latest version and where did the word "channel" come from and what does it mean? It's not explained anywhere on the Firefox website.

Mozilla has 4 channels. In order of less to more secure and stable: Nightly, Aurora, Beta, Release.
On the page you reference, "Final Release Channel" refers to Mozilla's "Release". These are versions that have been completed and "pushed" out for download by everyone. The most current version is always available at https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/ (currently, Firefox 6.0).
There are only 2 currently supported versions: Firefox 6.0 and Firefox 3.6.20.
*All other versions have stability and security issues that will not be corrected, but are corrected in the updated versions, as they are released.
    Other download links:
*Current version (now version 6.0): http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
*Older supported version (now 3.6.20): http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
According to the chart on the page you referenced, your students should be using Firefox 3.6.20 (Firefox 3.5.x versions are no longer supported or updated).
The certified/compatible classifications are Blackboard's determination.
    '''<u>Firefox Portable</u>'''<br />
If your students wish to use the most current version of Firefox for their everyday browsing and use a Blacboard compatible version for use only with Blackboard activities, they can have both on their systems by installing Firefox Portable (not produced by Mozilla):
*Firefox Portable installs in a separate folder on your hard drive so that it does not interfere with your current version Firefox settings or personal information (bookmarks, passwords, etc.). Add-ons are also kept separate.
*You can also install Firefox Portable on a USB/thumb/pin/jump drive.

Thanks for your interest. Here is a page where it does not work: http://foundation.zurb.com/docs/components/switch.html . Radio button is too small (only click on the top right corner can toggle the button).

Javascript is not the same as Java. Only the first four letters are the same and the syntax is somewhat simliar, but there is certainly nothing more the same.
Try a Javascript forum. There are ones at webdeveloper.com and dynamicdrive.com. Good luck.

  • Flash will not play in Mozilla/Firefox

I just can't seem to figure out why my flash movie will not
    play in Mozilla/Firefox,
Here is a link to the page
    http://www.z1multimedia.com/Demo/CassaItalia/site_flash/index_1A.html
    It plays fine on Safari

Perhaps if you actually looked at your html you would see
    that you have
stuffed up your SWF file names .. you've got different urls
    for the swf ie
tries to play vs what firefox/mozilla tries to play. Its just
    very basic
common-sense checks .. like spell checking a document.

Hi, I don't know about the mouse issue, but go here and test :
http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about  Use your Firefox browser when you test, perhaps you need the plug-in. Whatever the

  • Adobe Flash Player 12.0.0.77 not playing in Mozilla Firefox 27.0.1

I am using Windows XP.  I downloaded Adobe Flash Player 12.0.0.7 and installed it on my computer.  I opened Mozilla Firefox 27.0.1 and went to youtube to watch videos.  I clicked on a video to watch and received the following information:
The Adobe Flash Player is required for video playback.
    Get the latest Flash Player.
I opened Control Panel on my computer and saw that Adobe Flash Player is indeed installed.  So why is Firefox not recognizing it?

I opened Firefox, clicked on "Tools", clicked "Add-ons", and noticed there is a "Shockwave Flash 12.0.0.77" listed.  Is that the adobe flash player?
    Yes, it is.
It is set on "never activate" - because when I have it on, I get a computer page stall from time to time, and a little window pops up saying, "Warning:  Unresponsive script, A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding.  You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete."
See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/warning-unresponsive-script for a few suggested solutions.
BTW, "script" errors are not the same as Unresponsive plug-in errors.
The former are caused by javascript, ASP script or PHP scripts (in the page code) malfunctioning or "locking up".
The latter are caused by a defective plug-in (like Flash Player).

  • Embed tag is not working with Mozilla Firefox 23, 24 and 25

    Requirement:
While loading the java applet on a page, if the user system do not have plugin loaded then our code should redirect the user to get Java 1.6 plugin.
At present I am using below two URL for automatically JRE6 download

[When user tries to access the applet page from IE browser then he/she is getting pop-up message for JRE6 installation, provided that the user system don’t have any JRE installed]. This scenario is working IE8,9,10<br />
    • Mozilla family : https://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=60336

User is getting pop-up message for JRE6 installation with browser IE8, 9, and 10 and also with Mozilla Firefox 22, but it’s failing with latest version of Mozilla Firefox23,24 and 25.
I have gone through so many sites but could find any reason for this behavior.
I have provided JRE6 32-bit version download URL, here I don’t think so I’m doing any version incompatibility because both the JRE6 and Mozilla Firefox are 32-bit version. And 64 bit Firefox version is not available for windows.
I’m not sure why the code is working with Firefox 22 and its lower version but
doesn’t work with higher version than firefox22….like 23,24,25
Can anyone help to sort out this issue?
    Thanks, <br />

Sorry for the delay in getting an answer, yesterday was a holiday in the USA.
This forum is for Firefox user support, not for web developer support. My rough guess is that since Mozilla has blocked all but the most recent update for Java 7 Plugins - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked/ - and Firefox 23 brought in a new '''Simplified interface for notifications of plugin installation''' - http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/23.0/releasenotes/ - that is probably why you're having a problem with versions of Firefox after Firefox 22.
Try posting at the Web Development / Standards Evangelism forum at MozillaZine. The helpers over there are more knowledgeable about web page development issues with Firefox. <br />
