Website providing IP of any skype account to anyon...

I am shocked to find a website that is currently allowing anyone for free to find an IP of any Skype account they type in. It finds my IP and my friends and is correct. It also then goes to allow you to flood the IP to bring the users internet to a halt on another website. Is this website known by Microsoft? How do I protect myself from this? Here is the link.

    Hello.  I have tried for a number of days now to connect 'preloaded' skype on my Eurostar Smart TV.  I have used my existing account details and also tried with my Microsoft account, but no joy.  I have also tried to create a new skype account on my tv.
    All these things respond with the message 'cannot connect to skype at this time, please check your mobile settings and try again'.
    I am connected to my wireless router and have a good internet connection.
    Can anyone help?  This TV was bought for my kids playroom so they can skype their grandparents as we live a long way from home.

  • Refused to pay scammers. Got skype account banned.

    Several days ago received a letter on my email, he asked for 70$ or he will ban my skype.
    If I ignore his email or refuse to pay he promised to ban my account.
    He guaranteed that he can ban any skype account through bug in the system and asked for any skype login if I want him to proof his ability.
    I refused to pay and my skype was blocked. Support says that my accounts are under investigation right now.
    This person explained how he can block any skype account: 
    They send a message to their friends asking to spam report any skype.
    After 20-50 such reports your skype automatically blocked

    Currently both of my Skypes are blocked : login: "s---" and "a---"
    I have used s--- for business chat with clients and now I don't have a possibility to work and my work completely stopped. 
    I have used a--- for personal purposes on my iPhone and it is blocked too. 
    I guarantee that all who reported me on spam never recieved any message from me
    Also our news partner and largest Diablo 3 fan-site was blocked almost the same time as our skype. There is already about 150 likes from readers asking to unlock his skype.

    Do you know any solution how to protect myself from scammers?
    Right now I registered new one "[Removed for privacy]" and they already ask money again and promise to block new skype as well, as they can trace my skype on website which is widely known because of my work and I need to place my skype on my website.
    I suppose premium skype does not help from scammers? Maybe Business Skype will help?
    I think it is very bad idea that anyone can be blocked forever by spam reports from people that never wrote to you and you never wrote to them.

    Thanks for the speedy reply.  I have read so many comments about Flash being incompatible with Lion I was wondering whether to download it or not.  So many sites on the Web still require flash, however, you almost don't have a choice but to download it even if it is incompatible.  I gather a better version of Flash will be available for Lion soon.  Again, thanks for the help.  I will download the latest version of Flash.

  • Can't make any calls from my Skype account to land...

    I have had this problem for 2 years. I cannot call a phone from my Skype account. I have credit on my account and even topped up again today but still I can't make calls. The screen comes up as if it is about to make a call but it just says contacting and nothing happens.....i have tried using several devices but same result....highly frustrating and Skype support is very poor!!!!can anyone help me ?

    The reason you can't make calls is because you are calling from the UAE which blocks all outbound VoIP traffic including Skype to protect the state monopoly. Accessing the internet using a VPN to avoid the block may assist.

  • Is there any way to log in using a skype account, not a Microsoft one?

    I can only log into the app using the Microsoft account, however I have most of my skype contacts in my old skype account, is there a way to log in to the app using the skype account instead?

    I'm afraid you can only sign in to Skype Translator using a Microsoft account. You can - however - link your Microsoft account to your "old" Skype account and then juse Skype Translator that way. Keep in mind though that you will lose the contact list of your Microsoft account based Skype account that way.   • My skype account got Terminated! Please help

    Hello couple of months ago my Skype Account

  • Cannot login with my Skype Account name,

    I have tried to login to Skype and the following error returns:
    "Sorry, we didn't recognize you sign-in details. Please check etc. etc."
    My account does exist as I have asked my friends if they can see it.  Why has this happened?  I have searched the Skype so-called knowledge base and cannot find an answer.  Does Skype disable accounts if inactive for any period of time?

    I. User Can Still Access Account
    Run a full anti-virus scan (and other security scans available in your computer).  This may help to detect and remove any elements that the hacker may have used in gaining access to your account.
    2.  Immediately Change Your Password, preferably with something that is difficult to guess, and not related or totally different from the passwords you previously used. 
    3.  If the hacker also changed your registered email address, changed it back to your own email address.  Here is the link on how to change your registered email address;

    Skype is useless for this.
    They will claim that you the user are responsible, and that they don't need to do anyhing.
    So....
    Do not allow Skype to autorefill your account when it runs low on balance, and do not store a creditcard, or other payment info with them.
    Each user is liable for whatever the hackers can steal.
    As this is from recent personal experience, I recommend you to never keep payment information on file with Skype.

    I bought a skype unlimited call to India. I am using it for calling relatives, local call and my friends. Suddenly I got an email stating below:
    Fair usage policy violation blocking
    We have noticed some prohibited usage of your Skype subscription.
    As a result, your subscription will be terminated within the next 24 hours, moreover, you will no longer be able to use or purchase any of Skype’s paid-for products.
    The suspension of your access to Skype paid-for products is permanent and you will be unable to transfer any existing paid-for products to a new Skype account, or receive a refund. However, you will be able to continue to make Skype-to-Skype calls and send instant messages.
    No explanation and nothing.
     Is this fair to block my paid subscription without even a single warning? In the middle of my ongoing subscription?

    1)     This Skype id is maximum login on three devices – my two smartphones and a Pc.
    2)     Mostly long calls are on selected approx 5 numbers which are of relatives,my wife.
    3)     Mostly short call are to my big circle of friends and my wife also uses to call her relatives as this is our family account..cant we do it?

  • Skype Account Hacked - Will this affect my Microso...

    Last Wednesday, I received an e-mail receiving confirmation of my password change, and confirmation of my new e-mail address.  Of course, I had changed neither and contacted Skype to let them know that someone had hacked my Skype account.
    Several exchanges with them later and things are still being sorted out (after six days). I have reached the stage where I have the link to reset my password, but unfortunately that takes me through to the Microsoft website and it is not the Microsoft password I need to change, but one associated with my Skype Login.  Anyway, I digress.
    I was wondering, if someone has got into my Skype account, using my Skype password, is there any chance he may be rooting around in my Microsoft Account (Outlook, OneDrive, etc).  Or would he have needed to also get around my Microsoft password to do that.  I suspect the latter, as that is where I am being sent.
    Would anyone like to put my mind at rest?

    I had this really old skype account, I believe I created it when they released skype, but I had like 7 contacts or less, and used it like once a month, sometimes once a year, I don't know. But I used msn messenger a lot, and my account was really old aswell, and when they merged it with skype, I had to merge my accounts, so that's what I did. but at that time, it was so complicated, you had like two contact lists, on the same software you could send messages as a messenger account, or a skype account, to messenger or skype contacts, and it was really not user friendly, it was impossible to use, even tried to clean my list, deleting duplicated entries, people i never talked to, but still didn't do it, so once again, I abandoned skype and went to facebook. so last year I went away and wanted to do a video call to my girlfriend, so we installed skype. I didn't remember what account name I should use, or wich password was correct, and for some reason my account got blocked. i'm not even sure that i entered a wrong password, but it got blocked anyway. when i tried to retrieve it, said i had to contact support and cmon, to reset your password you have to contact support???? no thanks, decided not to use skype again, and made a video call with facebook.  but as of this week, I wanted to make a video call from my android phone, and decided to give skype another go, people told me that it was a good video app, so why not. and there was i trying to retrieve my password, when i ran through this form to fill with a lot of irrelevant information: if i "used credit card to pay for a skype service or if i used paypal." how the hell should i remember a thing i did once in my life and many years ago? i don't know if i used credit card or paypal, how should i know wich credit card i used? ok, next field: "what email address you provided when you registered." ok, when i registered my first skype account, or my messenger email wich i merged later? because i don't know what email i was using back when they launched skype, ffs. so i put my messenger email and procceeded. next question, when did i create my skype account (year AND month). again, my old account, or the one i merged later? and how the hell should i freaking now the year or even the month i created it??? was like centuries ago, cmon!!?! next question, "provide five names that are in your contact list." heck, I had hundreds of people on my messenger, wich i often deleted and replaced, and barely 5 or 7 contacts on skype, wich i never used, and when they merged, i reorganized my list, so i had no idea wich list they were talking about, or who was on it. next question, "what is the total cost of a recent order that you have made." you're kidding, right? next, on what date did you place the recent order (dd/mm/yy)? ... next, "please provide two phone numbers that you have recently called or contacted using skype." god, i tried to order a pizza once, and i called my mother another time, but how am i supposed to remember wich pizza place, and if i called mother at home, work, cellphone 1, 2, or what? jesus. I answered the other questions properly, but apparently they 'don't have enough information to retrieve my account" thanks microsoft. I really wanted to use that account, since it's linked with my microsoft email, wich is also my xbox live account, and some other stuff, and I don't want to have 2 ms addresses, but ok, i really needed to make a video call, so i tried to create another account. I was on my pc trying to solve this problem, so I opened skype website and clicked create account. luckily (or is it?) there was an option to create account with facebook, so that's what I did. and when I went to my phone to login, bam, no option to log in with facebook, and when you create an account that way, you just don't have a name or password to log in on your mobile. good job ms! thanks for ruining my day, and good luck beating apple, google or facebook when you keep treating your costumers like **bleep**.  

    I've recently noticed that my skype account has been blocked. I don't know what the issue is. I have the password, but it won't let me make calls. I have cash on the account too. But now it is requesting me to fill in forms. What year did I set up my account? 10 years ago or so, maybe 11, maybe 9, 8, 7, not sure. What card did I use to last put money on it.... not sure, it was about a year ago, debit or credit? Can't remember. But out of the 10 questions, I seem to have got one wrong, but it won't tell me which one. I have asked customer service for help, but the genius just asked me to refill in the form. I did again, same issue, something wrong (waiting for 24 hours for failure notification on both occasions) I've asked him to point out what is wrong, but genius refuses to. Honestly, a pathetic customer service experience. 0/100 score. Just some autogenerated BS from India. I've had to now set up an entirely new Skype account. So warning, if your account is blocked, don't bother with customer service. They are useless. Just set up a new account and forget about what ever cash is on your account. Thanks Skype!!
