I've never had problem before...updates are automatically enabled for Firefox, so don't know if there has been a recent update causing this
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If you get the above mentioned IP Address, Subnet and Gateway Address then you should ping the Gateway, type ping 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...If it gives you request timed out then disable any firewalls, security softwares on the computer...
If you get 4 replies then type ping 4.2.2.2 and press Enter, if you get request timed out, then you need to upgrade your router's firmware...If you get 4 replies then type ping yahoo.com and press Enter...If you get replies for Yahoo then you should get the Internet after adjusting the browser settings...
Adjusting Browser Settings : Open an IE, click Tools >> Internet Options, then delete all files, cookies, history, forms...Goto "Connections", make sure Never Dial a Connection is checked, click on LAN Settings and make sure all the options are unchecked...Once you are done click on O.k...Close the IE and re-open it...
If yahoo times out then provide static DNS on your LAN Connection...
Click on the Start button >>> Settings >>> Control Panel >>>Network Connections- Right click on the icon for Wireless Network Connection and go to properties- On the 'General' tab select 'Internet Protocol TCP/IP' and click on the Properties button- Select 'Use the Following DNS Settings' Preferred DNS 4.2.2.2 Alternate DNS - 192.168.1.1>>Click on Ok button to Save and Click on "Close" on main Properties window...You should be able to go online... -
For some unknown reason my application "Remote" no longer works. I deleted it from my phone. Signed out of Itunes and back in. Turned back on home sharing and all that jazz but it says it cannot find my itunes library. Is anyone else having this problem and if so how did you fix it? Thx.

I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?) touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.

Look in the Dock or the Applications folder for an installer for Lion. Then run it.

I would suggest that you uninstall Norton.
Norton does nothing useful on a Mac.
Norton is know to cause damage to Macs.

So I am trying to get into manage my account on appleid.apple.com. My ultimate goal is to edit my primary email address so that I can switch it over. I no longer have access to the email address that is registerd as my apple ID. However, when I log into manage my account, it is saying it cannot find my Apple ID, and when I try to the reset password, it tells me an e-mail has been sent and to open it to verify (it will not give me the "edit e-mail for verification" option.) I am running into a load of problems. Ultimately I just want to be able to have access to my Apple ID that I have had for years but now the password can't be reset, and the apple ID can't be found. I am at a loss.
Sometimes, sites divide their content and login logic over multiple servers. In that case, the sites may not recognize that you have logged in if you block third party cookies. Can you check your cookie settings, as described in this article: [[Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them]].
During your earlier troubleshooting, did you try the site in Firefox's Safe Mode to rule out an extension as the potential culprit? More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled ''(Flash and other plugins still run)''
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

ITunes says it cannot find my songs...
My itunes library is on an external HDD. I've gone to edit>preferences and made sure the itunes media library is set to this place. I had no issues last week but today i've turned itunes on, and it cannot find any of the songs even though they are in the same place.
Any song I click on it says "itunes cannot find the file would you like to locate it". Is there a way that you can get itunes to search and assign everything for you? Its confusing me...When you first told iTunes where to look for your library (i.e. on an external drive as opposed to the default) that drive would have been assigned a drive letter by your computer. Now, is the external drive given the same letter as before? If not, that's why you have a problem.
This can happen if you have something else connected as well, a camera or USB printer for instance. If the "camera" was given the drive letter previously used by your external drive, the external drive would have to be given a different letter.
Actually, another thing, if the external drive is not connected to your computer _and ready for use_ when you start up iTunes, then iTunes will automatically revert to the C:drive.

After I installed Mozilla Firefox, Safari is not working properly. It says:

The page “Now Casting - The Best in Guides & Labels” has content of MIME type “application/x-shockwave-flash”. Because you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can’t be displayed.
I tried to install the flasf player and a web page appears saying that it is installed but obviously isn't.
Please tell me what is wrong so I can use my Safari.

How do I re-import photos that Lightroom says it "cannot find."
I have gone to a half-day workshop on Lightroom 5. I have purchased and started reading Scott Kelby's Lightroom 5 for Digital Photographers, but find it rather cumbersome and unhelpful. And all I am trying to do is ORGANIZE and import photos (I am only now on Chapter 1). I have used Photoshop Elements for years, and found it very user friendly. Not so with Lightroom, for me!!!
I was trying to organize my photos in my external hard drive.
1. I noticed that some photos I thought I had imported from my SanDisk 16 gb "chip" to the external drive don't seem to be available in Lightroom, because I get a message like "Cannot find files."
2. I tried to re-import these photos, but Lightroom seems to think they are somewhere, and won't let me import from my SanDisk again.
3. Trying ot solve this problem I clicked "Merge" on the photos in my external hard drive, but that only put all my photos in one folder, now not according to date. I want to revert to saving them by DATE, not "merged" into one file
4. I checked in Scott Kelby's index under "merge" it does not refer to a problem with managing photos.
5. Help me learn the following:
A. How to correct the "merge" which put all the photos in one folder, not by date, so that they are again organized by date.
B. How to find the photos that Lightroom says it cannot find, or download them again, or whatever to solve the missing photo problem1. Could you please give us the EXACT error message?
Then I clicked on IMPORT. Was this the correct way of downloading, because when I do that, in the top LEFT corner of the Lightroom screen, it indicates that it is “downloading photos,” but nothing seems to download.
This sounds to me like a hardware problem ... either the card reader or the card itself is not responding.
With regards to the bulk of the rest of your problems, it might make sense to start over. Remove the files from your hard disk using your operating system (assuming they are still on your camera card), create a new empty catalog in Lightroom (File->New Catalog), and import them again from your camera cards. Perhaps instead of following Kelby's advice, follow other advice on importing and organizing, such as:

My airport utility says it cannot find any airport wireless devices, even though I am accessing the net via my wifi. What's up with this? Also, I cannot connect to my Photosmart b209a printer, though a different computer - same Macbook Pro can. I tried redownloading the software, but in the setup I get a "device not reachable" message: "However to continue configuring the device in network, your Mac must have access to the device. So please make sure that your Mac has access to the Network ..." I've checked my network on the system preferences and it's properly connected. I'm on the net as I do this. Airport Utility is for administration of genuine Apple Base Stations. If you have a different Brand, Airport Utility can do nothing for you.

To connect a Printer via Ethernet, no password is needed.
We already tried the password for the internet and that did not work...
If a password is required to connect to the Internet, then WiFi is likley being used, and that WiFi password is the one needed for the Printer connect wirelessly as well.
What make&model Printer? Is it indeed a Wireless Printer? Most connect via USB, but that would force it to use a specific computer to assist in printing. -
I have songs that I have either downloaded or ripped from discs that i"Tunes now says they cannot find them. I have not done anything to move them or any thing else. When I go to find them I find a folder but these are empty.
im presuming that you ar ebringing up the artist folder within your music folder somewhere and it doesnt have the songs you want?
if so, the newly downloaded songs might not be in folders yet and could be at the very bottom of the music folder which has all of your artists?
alternatively, you could bring up your start menu and do a search for one of the songs, then right click open containing folder and go from there. -
