How do I reference a UDF in Item Master for my synch plugin
Thanks
Hi Yusuf,
unfortunately WebTools doesn't support UDFs. While you obviously can modify the WebTools table columns directly at SQL server level, such changes will be reverted when upgrading to a new WebTools version which contains changes to that table. Also, you won't have access to your added columns via standard APIs.
However, you can create a table mapped 1:1 using primary key, and store the UDFs there. You'll still have to access the data manually (i.e. without API support), but a table created this way should be safe from deletes during upgrade (especially if it will include some unique prefix to differentiate it from WT tables, which don't have any).

Stefan

UDF's are gone after installing SP1
I loaded the Webtools 6 SP1 and now my UDF's are not there in SAP (BP, Warehouses, etc..) I do not see anything different on my Synch Manager, and I am getting errors..in webtools
Invalid currency - must be ISO 2417 compliant? What is that?
My theme is the basic that came with the update, I was able to synch BP, items, catagories, etc...but cannot place an order as a customer without the error and I am sure my UDF's missing are part of it
I was doing so well too! Thanks again for anyone's/everyone's help.
JoanneHi Joanne
Under currencies in the Admin, you need to have USD for the ISO code, and not "$". B1 allows this, but it does not follow the standards of ecommerce currency display.
As for the UDF's, the Install Plugin operation in the synch manager only adds UDF's(if they are not there already) that are relevant to Web tools, and absolutely does not remove anything. There are no delete commands in that process, so it might have been something else.
Hope this helps! -

Machine selector bug??
Hi
Webtools 6 sp1
Em I right in thinking that the way the system works at the moment, a part can NOT be a component of a product line and a selected component of machine selector?
And why?
Thanks
CharlesThanks Bryce,
Here's the sql statement that gets generated by NetPoint business object responsible for handling Machine selector requests. It gets generated on the IndexChange event of the Year pull-down menu.
SELECT DISTINCT TOP 200
pm.PartNo, ISNULL(pcs.PartName, pm.PartName),
ISNULL(pcs.PartDescription, pm.PartDescription),
pm.BasePrice, pm.MMImage, pm.StaticThumbnail,
pm.ProductLineFlag, ISNULL(pcs.PartType, pm.PartType)
FROM PartsMaster pm
INNER JOIN PartsCategory pc
ON pm.PartNo = pc.PartNo
INNER JOIN CatalogsCategory cc
ON pc.CategoryID = cc.CategoryID
INNER JOIN Catalogs c
ON cc.CatalogID = c.CatalogID
LEFT OUTER JOIN PartsCatalogStrings pcs
ON c.CatalogCode = pcs.CatalogCode AND pm.PartNo = pcs.PartNo
WHERE pc.CategoryID = 16
AND pm.PartNo IN (SELECT PartNo FROM PartsMachine WHERE MachineCode = 'Honda')
AND getdate() >= pm.AvailableDate
AND (getdate() <= pm.ExpireDate OR pm.ExpireDate IS NULL)
AND pm.AvailableFlag = 'Y'
AND pm.ProductLinePartNo = ''
AND pm.VariantMasterFlag = 'N'
AND cc.CatalogID = 3
ORDER BY pm.PartNo
Note the 4th line from bottom: AND pm.ProductLinePartNo = ''
In the case of my database, this field is populated with value of the ProductLine Part number for every part included in this product line.
For instance, given ProductLine A containing parts A1 A2 A3. These 3 parts (in my database) have value 'A' in the column ProductLinePartNo, which means that the aforedescribed sql script will NOT retrieve them.
Of course, I have no control on how this sql statement gets generated. And also, if I remove the 4th line, then the SQL server can pull off the missing records successfully, which leads me to think that the system can not support parts that belong to a ProductLine and MachineSelector in the same time. It seems to be one OR the other.

How to check WebTool Current version
Hi
I am trying to figure out the current version of the Webtools. In the Admin area it gives me the following details.
Components
NetPoint 2007.0.622.0
NetPoint.API 2007.0.622.0
NetPoint.CreditCards 2007.0.622.0
NetPoint.WebControls 2007.0.622.0
Web Tools Database 622
In the documentation version number is given as NetPoint 5.97. I have know clue how to match 2007.0.622.0 with NetPoint 5.97.
Backgound: I am trying to upgrade WebTools to Web CRM 6 SP1 and document says my current version should be at least 5.97. That why i am trying to mach these version number.
Thank You
SanjayaThe document is only suggesting that if you are upgrading from Netpoint you have to be on version 5.9.7.
You are not using Netpoint, the old version of the Web tools product.
You are on a pre-release version of Web tools that was only available during Ramp Up in 2007.
Download and install the SP1 Patch 1 setup.exe and install the installer and synch manager, and upgrade your webtools instances in the installer.
When you're finished the about page should be 2007.1.651.1 which is SP1 patch 1. -
Connection timeout while synchronizing webtools and SAP B1
Hi,
Sync manager is not synchronizing webtools and SAP B1 database, getting error meassage:
Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
at netpoint.api.data.DataFunctions.Execute(String SQL, String connectionstring)
at NetPoint.SynchSBO.Upgrade.Version._6xxTo650()
at NetPoint.SynchSBO.Upgrade.Version.Resolve()
at NetPoint.SynchSBO.Synch.SynchAll2()
Any resolution for this? After spending many hours trying to upgrade a client I think I finally figured out what was happening using SQL trace. It looks like the timeout is not an issue with any SBO table but with a WebTools table ... PartsPricing. I guess since SP1 supports special pricing the upgarde process needs to do a semi-initial synch to get all the pricing data into WebTools.
So it looks like the SQL that causes the timeout is just "Delete from PartsPricing" ... I should have realized earlier because this same error popped up back in the Netpoint days when re-synching pricelists and it was the same problem.
I backed up my WT database, deleted the contents of partspricing and tried the synch again and it seems to be running now.
Use this at your own risk ... backup your database first and hopefully this helps.

Hi All, looking for some assistance with the following issue.
We are attempting to upgrade our Operations Manager 2012 SP1 environment to Operations Manager 2012 R2.
We have completed all the pre-upgrade tasks detailed here

Exchange 2013 SP1 displaying users that no longer exist
I'm currently in the process of migrating my Exchange 2010 SP3 environment over to 2013 SP1 and am hoping someone can give me a hand with an issue I'm having in Exchange 2013. After installation of 2013 with no errors returned, when I log in to the
admin console I'm seeing users that have been deleted from my AD for quite some time with a mailbox type of "Legacy". I've searched high and low to find these accounts and cannot find them anywhere. I've searched through ADSI Edit and
LDP and nothing. If I click on any of these users and choose to edit I get this error message:
The operation couldn't be performed because object 'GUID' couldn't be found on 'domain controller'.
The odd thing to me is that these "Legacy" users are nowhere to be found on my Exchange 2010 server.
Anyone have any other ideas of how and where I may be able to find these users?Below powershell script can help you find out the lingering objects in your AD.

Uppgrading Exchange 2007 from sp1 to sp3 on small business server 2008 sp1
Hello everyone
I know this topic has been discused many time in this froum. but i have to ask it again in my exact situation.
I have a realy unstable and unsafe server which i am planing to migrate all the apps and services to some virtual servers soon.
first migrating is Exchange. i have Exchange 2007 sp1 on my server sbs 2008. i have my DC,AD, dns, DHCP, File, etc on the same server as well . So that is way it is scary for me (as i am not really experienced) to even upgrade one service pack.
Now, i want to know if anyone did it before. What should i expect during upgrading or after that? so i can be ready for that?
which kind of backup can save me if somethings happens to my Exchange? is there any way to install the new Exchange 2007 and sp3 rollup 10 and then migrate all databases and mailboxes to that new server? if yes, how to do that?
Thanks
NimaHi Nima,
Ok, I know your concern. Please make sure you have read the above KB I provided before installing SP3 for Exchange 2007. What's more, you need to make sure you right mouse click and run as admin to install it.
Moreover, here is a thread about migrating Exchange 2007 SP3 to Exchange 2013 for your reference.

Root Cause: The user account I was using had all the required privileges for Exchange Installation but was not having access to edit the registry of the server. Enable access to registry edit tools and you are good to go.
As an alternate you can also try installing using Domain Administrator account if in case there is an IT Policy constraint in the former method.
Thanks to all. -
Unable to uninstall sql server 2012 from Windows 7(ultimate) 64-bit SP1 version.
I am trying to install sql sever 2012 on my m/c but it's giving me error after partial installation.
Now I have successfully installed Sql Server 2008 R2 on my machine but when I am trying to uninstall 2012 sql server from my machine its giving an error regarding unsupported OS. However as mentioned earlier I have Windows 2007 Ultimate SP1 (64-bit) installed
on my machine which is included in valid platform for sql server 2012. Also I installed visual studio 2013 on my machine but it existed with error SqlServer\LocalDB not installed.Hi pritamk,
According to your error message, as other post, you can uninstall SQL Server from command line, inaddition, another workaround is that change the compatibility mode of setup.exe to Vista SP2, then run “Remove” option from the control panel. You can refer
to the following steps.
Browse to your SQL setup bootstrap folder, For SQL Server 2012, this is the path "C:\Program Files \Microsoft SQL Server\110\Setup Bootstrap\SQLServer2012\".
Go to Setup.exe file and right click on Setup.exe. Then go to properties and click on "Compatibility" tab. Under "Compatibility mode", click on Run this program in compatibility mode for "Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)". Then Click on "Apply" then "OK".
After that go to control panel -> Programs and Features -> and remove SQL Server 2012
There is similar issue about uninstalling SQL Server 2012 RC0 from control panel. You can review the following post.
https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/707706/unable-to-uninstall-sql-server-2012-rc0-from-control-panel
