Wedding Planning software

Hi, end of last year I bought some software (Wedding Planner) at the Apple store in New York, but having tried it, it is not suitable for what I wanted to use it for.
Can anyone advise whether this can be sold 2nd hand or am I stuck with it due to software licensing laws?
Many thanks

No. Sell it. You'll be fine ... just make sure your hard drive can sustain the data rate needed for the license transfer. And if anything goes wonky then just trash your preferences.

  • Wedding Planning Software - does it exist?

I've been looking for wedding planning software for a MAC with no luck. Any suggestions? Wedding Planner is terrible with awful support - and the rest don't even offer a MAC version.

I purchased and used such an application for OS 9 but that was many moons ago - well before OS X was available. I believe Wedding Planner is about it for OS X unless you install Windows on your MBP.

  • Information on APO or 3'rd Party Planning Software

    Dear Experts,
We are into discrete manufacturing with MTO scenario & want to map the planning process in SAP PP. As we experienced in standard SAP PP has the ability to run MRP and perform unconstrained planning. Capacity Leveling is also very difficult task as the no. of orders are huge in our case.
Can some one please suggest the 3'rd party Planning Software that can be integrated with SAP PP. Also suggest some links on APO from where we can see the features / tutorials of APO.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Srinathan.

    Srinathan,
APO is part of SCM.  Here is the SAP SCM site with lots of high level info

I don't make recommendations for third party software.  However, SAP now has established a partnership with ICON, who created Supply Chain Response Management, an advanced planning tool which SAP now markets, and considers to be an 'add-in'.  Some info by SAP at

  • I am having trouble opening files with a psa extension. These files come from space planning software and I was told that Photoshop elements would be able to open files with a pas extension. Does anyone have any advise?

Does anyone know why I am unable to open psa files with elements 13. I read on the internet that elements was the software that I needed. However, it does not work. The files are coming from space planning software.

In older versions of Elements PSA files were associated with Photoshop Album which has now been replaced by the Organizer. Elements has no 3d functionality for supporting space planning files but these files can normally be exported or saved by the originator as a bitmap or pdf file. Those could then be opened in PSE. I suggest you explore the possibilities of file conversion with your original source.

  • Airmagnet Planning Software vs. Traditional Survey with AP

Greetings all - would like someone to share their experiences; Our company is considering some new purchases with regards to survey kits.  It has been suggested that we do not need a Survey AP for our kits, since Airmagnet planning software should tell us everything we need to know. Needless today, I am skeptical about depending soley on a predictive software to determine this.   Anyone have any thoughts or experiences they wish to share?  Thanks in advance   (note, we will be using this for both 802.11a for voice, as well as 802.11b/g surveying)

I have both Air Magnet and Ekahau. My biggest complaint about Ekahau is that I have to start a survey to see the AP names in the area that I am in. Air Magnet allows me to stand in one spot and view the visible AP's by name, Ekahau is only by MAC address. The Adroid version of the Ekahau only displays AP's by MAC. When there are 150 AP's in the building, I have no idea what AP the software is seeing.
Due to Ekahau only showing me MAC addresses, Unless I'm doing a survey, I find the software to be extremely difficult to be usefull. When looking for a single AP, I have to go lookup the MAC address before I can figure out the signle strength, I hat this. I do like the USB card.
The problem I have with Air Magnet is that the special card does not fit in my new laptop. I'm stuck with lugging around some old laptop just to use Air Magnet. I do have the option to spend more money to buy different cards.
You have to put a real AP up to do the survey. If you don't, you will be back onsite moving them when people complain of coverage issues.

  • Good Financial Planning Software

I am looking for a good financial planning software. Any reviews I've read out there for Quicken haven't been very good. Does anybody have advise for what to purchase? I live in Canada, so it must support the Canadian financial institutions.
    Thanks,
    Sean

Quicken has worked very well for me. I have lot's of small stock buys and sells, many small dividends, and download stock quotes and use the planning software and prepare taxes with Turbo Tax. Portfolio data from Quicken is easily transferred to Turbo Tax as they're made by the same company.
It has never failed me. I've used it, 3 versions, for 9 years now. I don't know if there is a Canadian Turbo Tax or if Quicken has a version for Canadians.
    Cheers!

  • Nokia 6288 route planning software

    Hello everybody,
I am interested to find some route planning software for Nokia 6288 (Series 40 Operating System).
At least I would like to know if exists.
Because all I found were for Symbian (S60) operating system.
I search for some software that can be deployed on the memory card and can work autonomously (without internet connection, etc). Only a GPS sensor must be attached to the phone.
Does anybody knows of souch a software?
    Thanks in advance,
    Bogdan Olariu

No - the are no route planning software for Series 40 JAVA phones as far as I know. Mobile Gmaps is the best there is.
JAVA apps are limited in size, typically no bigger than 512KB - so all map data and so on needs to be pulled over GPRS. Placing map/route data into the JAVA app is thus not possible as it will never fit into 512KB.

  • Best and easy to use 3D floor plan software

So this is not particularly an Illustrator question...
I have started off drawing 2D floor plans for a client project. They now like the look of sparkly 3D floor plans.
Does anyone know of any good and easy-to-use software to tackle this please?

    ...there must be a catch!!
Why "must" there? I've never used it, but right off the bat, from a quick perusal of the web site:
It renders to a raster image. But that may not be a problem for your use.
Evidently, the Pro viersion is prensently only available on Mac OS. But you don't say what platform you are on.
Other than that, nowadays don't assume there must be some "catch" just because a program is lower priced than programs like Illustrator.
Regardless, if you have a series of such drawings to do, I would use a 3D modeling program, not Illustrator, for converging perspectives like this. Otherwise, as soon as you have a couch drawn in one position, someone is going to want you to move the couch to the other side of the room, requiring it to be redrawn.
Alternatively, if it were me, I'd probably have approached the project using parallel perspective (2D axonometric drawing). One of the primary purposes of axonometric drawing is to maintain uniform information density throughout the drawing; the viewer needs to see as much detail in the most distant room as in the nearest.
But if you are already committed to converging perspective, that's not an option. Most 3D modeling programs can render parallel perspective. But whatever 3D program you decide upon, you'll no doubt want one offering a library of pre-built common objects (furnture, cabinets, etc.) that can be edited and added to. So if you go with Live Interior 3D, you'll want the Pro version--again, assuming you are on Mac OS.

    Hi,
As per my understanding i think you would like to know the benefits of integrating your legacy Project Planning system with the ERP system. Please correct me if am wrong. If that is what you require, please search the forum as i am very sure that there are threads that explain the benefits of integration.

would be nice to be informed in time about planned software changes and/or change-attempts concerning this forum.

What you are missing is context.
I wasn't involved with gnashing of teeth, but it occurs to me to ask what does that really have to do with the forum today?  Could it be that those who would stomp off over changes to the mechanics of how they interact are not just not that desirable here anyway?  People who care more about the substance of the material, as I believe those of us here now do, seem preferable.
People occasionally complain about things as they are - it's healthy to seek improvement - and sometimes we overemphasize things, but yet here we are actually communicating openly with one another.  It really does work.  We may find using it mildly frustrating, and occasionally flaky, but what in this world ISN'T like that?  This is reality.
Personally I prefer to help folks with Photoshop things, learning a thing or two in the process myself - and frankly I'm just not being blocked from doing that.  People actually can post, the spam isn't bad, moderators do their things pretty well, information changes hands...  I'm clearly not feeling the frustration some are.
We should always strive for improvement, but let's not forget there is good in what we've already got.  Being overly negative doesn't strike me as helpful (this is not directed at anyone in particular).

  • Looking for easy to follow guide for building a software updates process.

I am hoping that I can get some general guidance here. I have responsibility for sccm 2012 in our environment. I also have to do exchange 2010, all Cisco networking and a few other large platforms. Needless to say it gets to difficult to get on a task and
stay focused for long periods of time. I tend to just sort of keep things running and that's all I usually have time for.
We have sccm 2012 and it's mostly used for OSD right now. I have been tasked with developing and implementing a process for critical updates across the organization. We have one primary site and three secondaries with about 2500 machines. There is no history
of doing updates here other than a previous person who used to do them via WSUS and GPO. But that has not happened for well over a year now.  My problem is that I have no familiarity with doing updates via WSUS or sccm. So it's all pretty new to me. I
got Kent Agerlunds book and like his detailed approach and was hoping to just sort of adopt that process and tailor it to this environment.
I do have WSUS installed in our primary location and the SUP point on our primary and secondary servers. Things seem to be syncing fine. Now I need to try to put together a process that is easy to manage and works.   The biggest problem I find is that
given I have primary ownership for a wide range of technologies in a company that is not a small mom and pop organization, it is difficult to sit down and get the necessary time to hammer this out. Everytime I sit down to work on this I feel I have to try
to learn it all over again. For some reason, probably my lack of experience with even WSUS or patching in general, they way this is supposed to work is just not sinking in effectively.
Can someone recommend a decent guide that is easy to understand and easy to follow? I find so much material out there on this topic that it gets a bit overwhelming and I spend what time I do have available jumping from document to document and not really
getting a decent foundation of how this is supposed to work.
Also, if anyone cares to chime in how they would maybe approach this task if assigned to them. Imagine and environment that has no software updates in place and basically never did. Machines are very, very outdated. I have disabled automatic updates via
a GPO ( this was recommended in the Agerlund book).
Also, since this is basically a ground zero environment should I have two focuses? One, just getting everything up to date, and then a second process for keeping things up to date?
I realize this is a really broad info dump that I'm asking for, but I find just googling and trying to figure this out ends up with a scattered bunch of links that I don't really feel help me just get started on the right track.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
You just need to deploy software updates to specific collections periodically, such as Automatic deployment rules, keep things up to date. Then monitor the status to make sure deployments are successful.
The following KBs describe how to plan software updates.
