Weekday for ocalday

Hi All,
I need your guidance and help on the folowing issue.
I need to develop a report where client watns to see weekday wise data in a given month, for example if my input is 08.2010 then the report should show sales value
for all Mondays in that month, and all tuesdays value, wednesday values and so on........
I have two questions
1. how can i get text for 0calday, do i need to create text variable with customer exit, if so i request you to give code if any body have.
2. How to resrtict weekday wise sales, as i wont have weekdays in query designer,,,coz weekday will be populated at query runtime only..

yu have to create a key figure for the data and on the dat you have to create a text object..once you open the object yu can create text variable sthere some are sap given there you can take alook at them, you need to have it a replacement path give a text variable replace it by key or text and give it a vlue or if you going to write abap code on it then give it replacement path to customer exit.

I think you will have to create a different alarm for each day. Name the alarm by the day of the week and select the desired playlist for that day of the week.

In a query, how to display the calendar day and the weekday in the heading

Hi Experts,
I am in a situation where I need to have calendar day and the weekday in a heading of a column in a query? we are in BW 3.5.
Here is an example:
                     04.22.2007
                     Sun
Branch 001      1,000.00
Branch 002      2,000.00
Branch 003      3,000.00
in my query, this is a restricted key figure with sales qty and calendar day and I have a text variable to show the calendar day. In addition to that, the customer wants weekday as well.
Not sure how to do this.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hello ,
      This InfoObject do not maintain the weekday ...so it is difficult to show the Weekday for a date as per the standard way.
          You need to write a Customer exit variable..and you need to use a Function Module : DATE_TO_DAY. This will convert your date to day ie 23.04.2007 = Monday.
      Note: This function module is not available in BW so try to copy this FM from R/3 system.
      I am sure this will solve ur issue:-)

Reminder Mail for PO/PR approval

Hi Experts,
For PO/PR approval, one mail is sent to respective person.
If the approval/reject activity is not done then one reminder mail should go after 24 hrs and after 48 hrs the PO/PR is required to approve automatically but the hours should consider weekdays also i.e. if PO/PR is created on Friday then the reminder mail should go on Monday because Saturday and Sunday is holiday.
This process should be done using workflow.
Please tell me the process/activity to configure this process.

But how to consider the weekdays for reminder mail.
I think :- Write a program to store the WI's in a Ztable for which Deadline Monitoring has to be done and shcedule in background.
Based on the date of the WI and time between the mail execution send the notification mail such a way.
Alternative:
create 2date and 2 time WF container elements one for latest start and other for latest end (one for each)
Before the workitem execution check create a background acivity step execute a method and in that step check for the creation date of WI whether Friday or Saturday or Sunday.
If its being executed on friday then export the mondays date and time to the wf container element for latest start and Tuesdays
date and time for latest end container elements that you had created.
In deadline monitoring tab of latest start and latest end select the Refer.date/time as Expression type and pass the new dates that you store in WF container element.

Function Module or alike for Data Cleansing

Hi Experts,
Does someone know a function module, method or something to create a complete cleansing case, that is, a cleansing case (header) and its mapping (relationship among the master and sourceu2019s fields).
I found the FM BAPI_CLEAR_CASE_CREATE_MULTI, however it just create a cleansing case, without the mapping. So the user should use the transaction BUPA_CLEAR in order to map the fields.

Find the 'DAY' for a given 'DATE'

Hi Folks,
I need a help regarding finding the day for a given date.
My requirement is that..,
If I enter a date using 'parameters', it should write the 'day' for the corresponding date.
To be more specific.....,
if I enter date as ' 07/15/2008 ' it should return me the day as 'Tuesday'.

Weekdays and dates

hi all,
i have the following two requirements. Please let me know if there are any function modules for the same.
1) I have a From-Date and a To-Date. Within this interval i want to find all the nth days of week. for example for n = 2, i want the dates for all mondays within this period.
2) again for the interval (from-to date) i want the dates on the nth weekdays. for example, for n = 4 and weekday = 2, then i want dates for all 4th mondays of month within the period.
(of course this means that the period will span for more than one month for the second requirement while for the first it can span for more than one week)

You would need to talk to the store managers about that; we're just fellow users here. I would guess that they schedule workshops during the day when traffic is lighter so as to not impact and be impacted by evening retail traffice.

How can I create a new calendar that starts the week on monday?

Excel can do it, but I really like the template for calendars in numbers. That calendar is for printing it, so i don't need any special functionalities, only the template, with blank cells i can hand-write in.

The Calendar template is very clever. Changing it to start on Monday would be a huge task. Here is an idea for a non-automatic calendar. Start with a table for month and year. Hide the table name if you like.
A1 is a pop-up menu to choose a month. Type the year in B1. I am trying to come up with a formula to show the day of the week for that month and year in B2. This is because you will have to type a 1 into the correct day in the calendar table to generate dates for the whole month.
Create an outline calendar like this:
A2 contains the number 1
B2=A2+1 and fill right
A4=G2+1
B4=A4+1 and Fill Right.
Now select Row 4 and copy.
Paste into every second row below.
Format the table to make cells big enough to write in. Save as Template because you are about to make a calendar and you will need the template for next month.
Type a 1 into the cell that is the first of that month. Now clear contents of cells you don't need.
It would be handy to have a formula to show weekday for the first of the month. Not essential!

How do I repeat a iCal event daily without the weekends.

My son has a practice every weekday for two months. When I go to put it on the iCal, it offers me daily, weekly, etc. and customize. Yet, the customize doesn't offer a "weekday" option. Does anyone know how to do this other than doing it daily and removing the weekend references?

Yeah, you just do the custom option. You do it on a weekly scale, and you do it every "one" weeks or basically every week and you simply highlight the days monday through friday and leave the weekends out. Also, tell iCal the date that you want them to end on in two weeks and they'll just show up for that span of time.

Calculating duration between cue point?

I'm using Flash Pro CS3. My project is AS2 targeting FP8.
I have an flv component on stage. My .flv has cue points and
I have buttons underneath the component that show the title of each
navigation cuepoint in a dynamic text field. I have another dynamic
text field that shows the cuepoint time for each cuepoint,
positioned next the the title of the cuepoint. That all works well
but hoping to accomplish a bit more and can't find any code help.
The three things I'm trying to do are:
1. Instead of showing current time at a particular cuepoint,
show the duration of the section/chapter, if you will. How can I
calculate duration between two cuepoints and display it in my
dynamic text field? Is there something I should do when
encoding/adding the cuepoints or can I use AS with the cuepoints I
have?
2. Once I get that duration and have it display instead of
the actual cuepoint time, have it countdown backwards when the
playhead is in that "chapter"?
3. Show these times in the mm:ss format?

Lets try and recollect our very early days in ABAP,when we were learning just the basics.I am sure most will have a memorable incidents of the days.To start with mine i can tell while learning the ABAP for very first time i used to be so much confused with the data declarations,why do we used structures,table type and what was the difference between them,difference with with header line and without it..also why do we need to need to maintain text modules when we can directly text boxes in forms...and a lot more. Now when i have the answers to them with experience the questions seemed so silly..:)

If your calculating dates please do not manually calculate it like that.
You need to determine like week numbers, month and days.
The best way to do it is by using FM related to dates. Play around with these FMs in your program:

Can i count the number of Mondays in a specific month with a formula?

I am looking for a streamlined way of calculating an amount to invoice for a job that I am paid for weekly, but for which I invoice monthly, meaning that I am invoicing different amounts each month, depending on how many Mondays fall in a given month (i.e. 4 or 5).
So I am wondering if there is a function I can use to calculate the number of Mondays in a given month automatically and then I can use this value to multiply by my weekly charge to calculate the amount to invoice each month.

Depends what information you need.
If you need the count for only one week day, then a table showing only the count for that day of week will avoid having to search it out.
If you need the number of occurrences of each weekday in each month, then a table showing those, with or without an attached calendar, is in order.
Here's one that shows the count of each weekday for each month. It uses two formulas, derived from the earlier posts by Yvan and Jerry:
B1: =DATE($A,COLUMN()-1,1)
B2: =IF(AND(DAY(EOMONTH(B$1,0))>28,MOD(WEEKDAY(EOMONTH(B$1,0))+7-(ROW()-1),7)<(DAY( EOMONTH(B$1,0))-28)),5,4)
The formula in B1 is filled right to M1, and the cells are formatted to show only the Month and Year. Note that the cells actually contain Date and Time values, which are used in the second formula's calculations.
The formula in B2 is filled right to M2 and Down to M8.
Day names in column A are entered directly and are not used in the calculations.
The 4 digit year number is entered directly in A1. Change this number to change the year.
