Hi !. My doubt would be the following one... I have to analyze the use case from a friend... And he had a java class implementation of a View Object... The thing is that, when the app first enter my task flow there is a CreateInsert operation and then the page is rendered... but at the same time, there is in his bean a property of the same type of this View Object impl that is referencing this newly created row... I would like to know how to make this ?... I really search over the application a code that would give this property the value but couldn't find it... Cheers
Yes, of course... Y have in my project two modules... The View and the Model !. In the Model, my friend created let's say 5 View Objects and then he added them to his AM. For one of those View Objects he created the java implementation class. Going to the View Module, he created a task flow with a bean of pageFlow scope. When it first enters the task flow, there is a CreateInsert operation that adds a new row to the collection (of the View Object I am tlking to)... The thing is that, after doing my form filling, when I submit, I don't know how my friend gives to one property of the task flow bean the value of the java implementation class of the View Object... If you think I wasn't clear, I write again... If you see the code above, the datos property is given a value but I don't know how... The problem really is that I leave thise usecase running to the designer but know it doesn't work... The thing would be to know how to get a reference to the newly created row inserted in the cache maybe...
Let say my bean is:

Is there any way possible to Inject the EJB prior to the bean instance creation at all?
Maybe, I need to approach it with the old fashion Java EE 1.4 route and using JNDI in the PostConstruct annotated method to reference the EJB in the managed bean.
This had to been thought out before, I don't understand why a manged bean's life cycle places any injections at the end of the bean creation.
Also, now that I understand that the @PostConstruct annotated method will be called by the container after the bean has been constructed and before any business methods of the bean are executed.
I am trying to reference my EJB as part of the creation of the managed bean.
What happens: the JSF page loads the managed bean and I need to populate a listbox component with data from an EJB.
When I try to make the call to the EJB in the listbox setter method, the EJB reference is null.
Now, I'm not for sure if the @PostConstruct annotation is going to work... hmmmm.
** Figured it out. ** I just needed to move the EJB logic that was still in the setter of the component I wanted to populate into the annotated PostConstruct method. -
App No Longer Works After Creating EJB Session Bean
I am using EJB3.0 and using JDEV 11g, PS1. I have used EJB to create my entities from tables and then i created my ejb diagram. After doing that my application (i have a jspx page) that runs fine. Once I create my session bean, I am no longer able to run my application. After creating my session bean I get the following error when I run the application (i.e. not at build/compile time).

Weird glitches after rendering
Dear people,
I did recently huge (for me) step from PRE 3.0 to PRE 8.0 (I hadn't know, there were 9 Version). Anyway, I had in my first video some weird artefacts after rendering my video, and I don't know, how to fix them. (With 3.0 I hadn't such problems, even if I used it already ca. 3 years for many similiar projects).

I tried it with various configurations, but it had always just various glitches. The youtube video was directly uploaded from PRE, and its quality is much more better than the glitch-full videos I exported as files. Do I do something wrong?
To my PRE project: it contains a video and many animated text layers. In the PRE preview, before rendering, everything looks good, but the rendering disappoints me :-)
Actually I wanted submit my video to some art video galleries, but I cannot since it's still a little bit buggy.

MerzmenschWell, perhaps this was one of some differences to my previous videos: I usually use my Sony camcorder, but this time I used my digicam Ricoh K8. The video to this camera is fully incompatible with PRE (even if it's an AVI - I worked with another cameras before, but only with Ricoh K8 I discover incompatibility to just every video cut software), so I converted it through VirtualDub (using also MSU Cartonizer for special effects). As far as I cam recall, I converted it with Helix YUV codec, which I often use, because PRE 3.0 hadn't compatibility problems before.
About settings of the project, which details do you need exactly? I actually used the default settings. Here I did the screenshots of every part of Project settings:

I have a feeling, that the problem is not with video footage, but with some PRE settings, since you can see in the glitch both levels: video and text together. Perhaps rendering failure? -
Just noticed that when I close my mail app by double clicking the home button and swiping up it dies something weird. After doing this when I open my mail, instead of showing all my mailboxes it automatically opens one of them instead. Anyone know why?
Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. Japanese lyrics shown on iPhone become weird characters after some number of plays
I put in lyrics for my Japanese songs both the kanji/kana and romaji. There have been no problems before this. But somehow I suppose after the newest iTunes released I added some new songs and there were two of them that I added lyrics into them. At first their lyrics were shown properly on my iPhone screen. But after some time the kanji/kana became some weird characters. I checked the lyrics in iTunes and there seemed to be no problems at all with my lyrics. I needed to delete the song from both my phone and my iTunes library and re-add then re-synced it again. (just deleting the song from the phone and then re-synced it didn't help.) Then again, today the lyrics became weird again. I don't really understand. It would become very annoying if this keeps going on. I would appreciate any advice and help. Thank you very much.
I just tried this with my iPhone 4 and it also didn't work. This is how it failed:
- Select "shared".
- The "pie" start to grow, got to about 1/3, then crashed without
bringing in the shared content.
- After that, the library appeared in list, but I couldn't select
it at all anymore.
Then I tried it with my iPad. The pie got to the same point, sat
there for a long time, then completed and worked fine.
I did a hard reset of the phone and tried again, this time it
behaved like the iPad and worked fine.
Not sure whether it was the hard reset or whether sharing with
another device "woke something up", but in any event it works
now and I can't get it to break again.
Note, I only use sharing for movies, since I have Music Match
(which works *great* for me, even on 3G).
Specs:
Sharing: 2.7 GHz iMac i5, OS 10.6.8
Clients: iPhone 4
4th gen iPad
Everything (including iTunes) patched to the latest. -
Commit operation not enabled after createinsert in detail table

After clicking createinsert operation for detail table in master detail, i got unique contraint error from db.after rectifiying the data for newly created row..commit operation not enabled to save the data.

This application runs fine on basically every other Java EE server (tried specifically JBoss EAP 6.1, GlassFish 4.0 and TomEE 1.5.2), but not on WebLogic 12.1.2.
Note that I'm not really a WebLogic user. I'm an open source library writer who's trying to make our library (OmniFaces) to run on all Java EE implementations. This case is part of a functionality in our upcoming release.Hi,

TTY colors problem (only 8 @ vim + weird behaviour after x started)
Hi,
I've got a problem with my tty colors. Everything seems to work pretty ok, but I have two weird problems - one is that vim doesn't display colors properly. It seems like it supports only colors 0-7, no more. My vim scheme & zshrc (dunno if helpful) attached below:

What's more, when I start X, tty colors seem to become totally messed up. I don't know where are those new color settings taken from, but they're changed somehow and stay like that till next reboot.
Any help/tip appreciated. Thanks in advance.
edit: I know that "2xx" colors won't work in linux terminal since it supports only 16colors, but even 16 colors don't work for me under vim.

Apparently this is less reproducible for me than I thought. After a system upgrade and subsequent reboot, this didn't happen again. Maybe the console liked vim's colors and decided to hold on for a while.

EntityManager no longer being injected after upgrade
I upgraded the version of JSF being used by the Sun Java Application Server 9 to 1.2_02 by using the upgrade jar on the download site. After doing this, it appears that the JPA EntityManager is no longer being injected (I keep getting a NullPointer exception in the Controller's getEntityManager method).
Is there something I have to do differently with 1.2 to get the EntityManager injected?

Commit button disabled after CreateInsert Operation... :(
Hi! I have app module with VO in multiple levels, like this:
-VO1
----VO2
--------VO3
------------VO4
------------VO5
I created one jspx page for each VO and represented VO as Table. All works fine with VO1, VO2, VO3, I can insert data in table using CreateInsert operation and Commit it using Commit operation. After I create new row in table using CreateInsert, commit operation comes enabled. My problem is with VO4 and VO5. When I press CreateInsert button new row appears in VO4 and VO5 tables, but Commit button are disabled. When I press second time CreateInsert button then again new row appears and now Commit button is enabled. WHY I need to press two times CreateInsert button for VO4 and VO5 tables to enable commit, but for VO1, VO2 and VO3 tables only once. From all VO I created table in the same way and checked all 3 times.
Where might be the problem and how to resove it? If need more info, please let me know.

Weird problem after exiting soundbooth
for some reason when i exit soundbooth (and a few other programs in the creative suite), the windows do not fade in and out when opening and closing a window. also the minimizing and maximizing effect was gone. do any of you guys have this problem? please just tell me what happens after you exit the program
Hmm, very weird. It looks like this was happening after I configured MAC filtering and let the Airport Utility do a reboot when requested.
I just tried manually turning my Airport Extreme off (unplugging cable) for about 10-15 seconds, and after turning it on again, I was able to access it without any problems. Everything works great now. Not sure why, but it seems like this worked.

[SOLVED] Weird behaviour after formatting USB installation media
Hi, I have noticed this weird behaviour with USB drives I used to install Arch linux with. I format them using fdisk and mkntfs but after replugging them in, the udevil daemon mounts them again as ARCH_2013...[something] and even the directory tree exists! This happens also when I use mkntfs without the -f flag (initializing with zeros). I also checked the other files in /dev/sd* in order to make sure that my drive does not appear twice, but there is only sda (my HD) and sdd (or sometimes sdb, sdc,...) which must be the USB drive, also according to dmesg.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I wrote something about not seeing any files when manually mounting but that was my bad, I only tried mounting /dev/sdb1 but mounting /dev/sdb brought me the same files as devmon showed.

You can use this to zero out the entire device:
# dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdx bs=8M // x is the letter assigned to the usb drive. Be careful, The dd command is destructive.
It may take a while to zero out the entire disk, depending on the size. After that use fdisk/cfdisk or gdisk/cgdisk to create the partition table and partition.
To create the filesystem type, this one, ext4:
# mkfs.ext4 /dev/sdx // or create a vfat
then create the label:
# e2label /dev/sdx1 USB_STICK_LABEL
Use my suggestion as a last resort. Read the wiki, most of what I have said is in there anyway.

Hey all.
I have a weird problem which firstly came up after i upgraded to 10.5.5.
This only happens after few days of running without a reboot.
I get very weird graphic effects:
