Went to store to buy iphone5 store rep tried to convince me to buy another phone,why?
We are switching from a sprint galaxy and wanted the iphone 5, went to two different stores and both times the representatives kept recommending I get another phone, the phone is for my daughter who is a medical student and the store guys would not listen to me. Is this a training problem? Why are they pushing something else when I come in looking for something specific? They made it sound like the iphone was an awful phone and she would be at a disadvantage. Apparently everyone at her school and in the hospital uses iphones and all the apps they use are in the itunes store. Just a frustrating experience with this
Well i'll tell you this and i'm not a Hater of the iPhone's, But some Folks are having issues with the new iPhone5, One of the Issues is the Bottom Head phone Jack it for some is Cutting out, Another issue is the Updated power Jack and Cord that charges it, And the new OS is not doing as good as some thought it should be) and Apple didn't help there selves when they Give Google the Boot and there apps that is on there phones are not a thing of Beauty actually there a Train Wreck)
So as bleak as maybe i made it that might be the Reason they were trying to ward you away from it) the iPhone 4S has been doing Fairly well if that is what your set on getting is a iPhone and i would get a 4S instead of the 5 if i were shopping iPhone's But i'm a Android Guy and have a Maxx) and the Reason is the Open G.P.Store) you still pay for some Apps but not as bad as Apple Does) they do have a More secure store as Apple has Tight control on it. But i still prefer Android
But if your Dead set on it Richard please Do some Research on it and get a Good perspective of it. You do have 14 days to return it back to the store a $35 restocking fee will be applied to any returns.. Good Luck on your Decision b33

pioneer avh-3400bh, just got it installed, read reviews online about bluetooth music information no longer showing up after ios6 update....... any clue to when Apple will either fix this error or allow people to go back to older versions of operating systems?
FINALLY! a firmware update came out today for the 3400BH (among others) - I got an email from PIoneer and downloaded and installed the new firmware - now the radio works perfect! The only problem is, you can only install the firmware update via bluetooth PC, which is NOT as easy as the instrucions show - if you have a bluetooth dongle (like I do) there were several issues during the install - finally got it installed (not quite sure how exactly) but it works.

I purchased a ITunes card for the amount of 25.00, after I redeemed it it showed no balance on my account. So I went to the store I purchased it and they told me I would have to contact ITunes, this is the 2nd time it has happened to me, and to tell you the honest truth, I don't think I will buy another card. Can you help me with this

Why did my local Verizon store rep try to talk me out of an iPhone? He told me they were made of glass and would break. If I wanted one I should buy it somewhere else. I had to insist on the purchase telling him I have a MacBookPro and iPad and I was upgrading both my service contract and two phones.
It seems an odd way of doing business, I think it would make more sense just to say they didn't have any in stock. However I can think of four reasons. 1) budone suggested the request may have come from Apple, one reason for them to request would be they are running out of the current model of iphone. Production problems, phone related or not. 2) Whoever has Verizon's insurance on the iPhones may have stated ENOUGH! Perhaps they have replaced too many iPhones. 3) Verizon will soon be giving away the iPhones (with of course purchase of a (overpriced) phone/data plan contract), so they don't want customers complaining that they had to pay for theirs. Last but not least 4) The salesperson or store manager may have a beef with Apple (or their insurer). However, These are simply my guesses, why not call the store you purchased from and ask to speak to the manager. You may (or not) get a better answer. Hope this helps.

I am writing to say I experienced the worse customer service ever from one of your stores!!! Not just the reps but both the day and night manager both were very rude to me, I am not going to saying I was a happy camper in talking to them but you are more then welcome to pull up the recodings and see that I was not being out of bounds with them....expecially after waiting over an hour to be seen in person then being lied to and calling back mad then next day! I have a Note 3 I purchased about 4-6 months ago that the screen went dead on. The phone still turns on and makes noies and recieves messages but will not light the screen up. I took it in the the Murrieta store last night about 830pm, after reading online that you can bring it back to any verizon wireless store for refurbished replacement. Well after checking in and witing till about 930pm (30 mins after closing) I was seen and given the 3rd degree about how I broke the phone. The representitive went thru the phone for 20 mins and continue to throw out ideas of how I broke it and hows it possible I could break it and again would ask if I broke it. After the 5th time stating I did not break it he look up my phone number and pulled my account (a while later we started) and stated he could get me a replacement by Tuesday of the following week, well that was a Thursday night and I was going out of town that friday so I explined that does not work and I need a phone ASAP. He then explianed I could pay for overnight delivery, I refused to pay for any charges as it was not my fault the phone was broken, He stated a manager could possibly waive the charge. I asked to speak to the manager, he coninued trying to help me for another 5 mins to which I eventually said can I just speak to the manager. He went and asked the manager to come over who was already dealing with another irrate customer. After waiting another 5-10 mins the manager came over and rudley asked how can I help you. I explained where we were in our transaction and that I was very unhappy. She rudley informed me that all they can do is ship the replacment and if I wanted they would ship to a venture store (my weekend destiation) and I could go piock it up from there and that it. I informed her that the rep has already offered overnight to my house by 1030am but I needed her to pay for the charges. She said fine she would and was very short and rude about it. At this point I was ****** and told her I felt she was being very rude and short to me and I understand she just dealt with an irrate client but I had been waiting well over an hour at this point for something turns out I could have done over the phone or should have as your stores dont offer in store replacement (I was told that a policy and they have no idea why the website would say come to the store but its wrong). I also informed her that it was a product I bought from your company that was giving me trouble due to it being faulty and its an inconvenence to me THE CUSTOMER....not the other way around. She said she was doing all she could do and could do no more.....NEVER once in the conversation did the manager offer her apologizes for my troubles, even after I stated she was being rude and I was very unhappy with her level of customer service in this problem with a warrantied item. I excepted the 1030am next day delivery and left. Well I was unhappy but left anyways and now its 1130am I go to check status of package and it says monday by 530pm delivery?????? So I called the store informed the day manager on duty (David <<Last name removed>>) I was lied to about a needed delivery of replacement and explained that I am very unhappy. Well turns out he had the staff listening on speakerphone as he informs me the staff remembers it differently and the manager on duty last night went above and beyond her duty by paying for my shipping and helping me. Then went on to say my screen was cracked via the notes shown which was never shown to me and they did not even have to help me as I did not have insurance. I explained the rep the night before spent 30 mins trying to find how I broke the phone and why I could have broke it to which he found nothing with the phone but apparently still put in the notes he found a pressure crack. I asked the manager if its the policy to just assume the thing is broken by the client to which he said YES, we have an extensive history with these devices and we are usually right in out ASSUMPTIONS! I informed him I was very unhappy and he was not a part of the conversation last night and to tell me his rude night manager went above and beyond was siding with his employees far beforing doing any research into the matter having only heard what his employees were talking about as I was explaining. He did not seem to care and explained that your policy are very strict and your employees must adhere to them to, guess this includes lieing to customers to get them out of the store. At this point I got his info as I seen the level of his customer support and service and hung up. This really makes me question the 15 year relationship I have had with Verizon Wireless!!! I now am leaving my family alone for the weekend and I have no form of communication as I will be on a boat off the coast of Ventura for 3 days......and I am left to think my best hope is to have a phone monday evening that I will mostly be charged full price for as the rep stated the phone he is replacing is broken........am I correct in this assumption.......Verizon Wireless Admin Verizon Wireless Customer Support

refurbished phone if your phone has a warranty issue which is what I did.

I redeemed a gift card of $15 in my Itunes Store. I purchased one book in IBooks of $6.99 now the balance in my iTunes store is $ 7.10. How Do I use this balance to buy another book or music from my Itunes Store It is not using my balance? Whenver I try to make a purchase it is trying to charge my Visa Credit card. My Credit card is no more active. I want to remove my Visa credit card and use Itines gift card fro purchase in Itunes store.

I thought So too but then I went to Itunes Library and try and buy a single song from an album for $1.29. Now my Itunes Gift card balance is $ 7.10 as I mentioned earlier. it still did not let me buy and kept trying billing my Visa card.
Should I restart my PC and Itunes and retry. What do you suggest?

Is there any difference in buying the phone online vs. buying in-store?
I've never been interested in buying a phone at launch before, but the iphone5 has come along at the perfect time for me so I'm all in. My question is about how the best way to get the phone will be. If I buy it online, will the phone arrive ready to go, or will I have to take it in-store to set it up?
If I go to preorder at the verizon store Friday morning, will I find chaos and lines (ala a Video game console launch)? Since I'm going with the verizon plan, am I locked into buying the phone through them if I want my upgrade bonus, or can I still buy through Apple online or Bestbuy?
Are shortages normally a problem for an iphone launch?

And that was the reason I bought my iPhone 5 from Best Buy instead of buying from online. However, it appeared that some of their staff do not have the appropriate knowledge on the fact that the transfer must be done before the old phone are locked.
I got my iPhone 5 from Best Buy and asked them to transfer the contacts data from my old phone to the new phone. They said that their machine was not working and asked me to come back later to transfer the data. On the next day I visited their store again, they were not able to transfer the data as my old phone card was locked and any data inside the old phone memory can never be recovered . I should have walked away when they said their data transfer machine was not working . Now I have to rebuild the contacts and many precious contacts are long gone . -
Can you go to a Verizon store and buy a phone at full retail and use it on prepaid?
As a current prepaid customer with a 3G iPhone 4, I was looking forward to July 17 to see exactly what Verizon was going to offer for prepaid in terms of 4G LTE. Some of the phones I like but was thinking of some other phones that Verizon offers their postpaid customers but not to prepaid. I wanted to know if I walk into a Verizon store and offered to buy any phone at full retail price, would they sell it to me knowing it would be used on prepaid? The phone I was interested in was the LG G3 but there may be others.
You would only need to trade in your current phone if you are still under contract AND eligible for the early edge offer. The early upgrade may be available if you have less than 1 yr to go on your contract.
If you are off-contract and eligible for an upgrade you can get a new phone on the Edge program (assuming you are eligible).
As to same-day phone - that still depends on if the phone you want is available or has to be ordered. -

Hi all. I am new to iPad and am trying to buy / download certain apps thru iTunes and or App Store. I have found the apps i want yet I keep getting messages saying "this app is not yet available in the South African store"! which means i am unable to buy it. Why not and how can i get around this? If you see a dialog telling you the app is not avaiable, then it's not available.
And keep in mind, your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

BUying the phone form the Apple store vs the phone store
Is there any advantage to buying the phone from the Apple store vs the ATT people? I found with my Treo the ATT folks don't know much about it and also didn't offer any insurance for it either!
There used to be a huge difference. AT&T would let you order, while would make you come and stand in line. With the 3GS, Apple allowed pre-orders.
Now, there is no difference. If you are the only person on your account, it is pretty simple to set it up. If you have multiple cell phones on your accounts, it may be better to let ATT set it up to handle the complexity. (But either way, you can call AT&T 1-800 number to resolve any issues.)

I have had photo problems since the ios7 update. everything was backed up to my icloud. went into store tech backed up but now when i go to icloud i can't find pictures or videos. 1300 pics and some video's . i am devasted.
