Only the red light turning on and off at the screnn of the MBPro and on my Apogee GIO (Guitar Interface Midi) switch button but the effect wha wha won't work.

Yes... but I have come across some setups that came with a native SL (and even one Lion!) installation.. that somehow had a corrupted or older Prokit installed for some unknown reason... and given it's a quick fix to try.. I thought I'd mention it..
I frankly don't think it is entirely a Prokit issue itself, but it wouldn't do any harm to try and install v7 just in case it is part of the problem...
+1 on the UAD stuff....
Also, at the time it crashed... according to the logs...the OP was running Ableton Live at the same time, presumably rewired with Logic... so add all that together with UAD plugins... and that's quite a load on the system...
Finally in thread 32 there is a weird exception msg relating to the Trash2 plugin.. that I haven't seen before...

That might be nothing... but as i said, I haven't seen that one before and given what else is going on.. it might be involved too... or nothing to do with that at all!

My user folder has suddenly disappeared from my hard drive though if I do a find for it it comes up as still being there with all its data. Can drag a duplicate copy from the find window back onto the hard drive but don't want two copies there with one of them hidden. Any suggestions anyone?
Did you update to 10.9.3?
If you did then update to iTunes 11.2.1.

I've updated Flash Player quite a number of times, but whenever I try to play a video on Youtube or any other websites, the same line of words appears asking me to download Flash Player. I've got the Adobe Flash Player installed not long ago and it works just well on Chrome. The flash plugin in Internet Explorer is not working too..
please help ~Google Chrome comes with its own version of the Flash Player plugin.
Your system details list doesn't show that the Shockwave Flash plugin is installed and enabled.

hi, i created an applet that works well in appletviewer,but it does not work within a firefox browser, it issue a message: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.io.FilePermission imgDir/vsam.jpg read). What can i do to solve this issue please ?
sign the applet, use doprivileged and trust the applet when you open it.
Use htmlconverter in jdk/bin folder to convert you applet so it uses
object tag instead of applet so IE won't try to run it with msjvm.

Drives stopped mounting with FW800, but FW400 is OK. Worked OK before, but won't now. Tried new cables, zapping pram, Disk Repair Utility. Any suggestions? Thanks.
If your external drive does not have an independent power supply, you may wish to consider a couple of lower-cost options before tossing the drive. Bus-powered drives have no external power source and must get all their power from the computer. They can exceed the computer's USB energy budget.
Cheapest option:
1 Meter USB 2.0 A to 5 Pin Mini B Cable - Auxiliary USB "Y" Power Design for external hard drives.
This gets power from two of the computers USB porst sna can provide enough power to wake up an under-performaing bus-powered drive.
If you don't have enough ports to use this, try the next cheapest option:
Newer Technology 7 Port Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter for Mac & PC
Such a hub has a an independent power supply to make up for wahat the comptuer fails to provide. -

If you received you phone as part of the contract then surely from a legal pov your contract is with 3 not Apple unless you bought Applecare, if you bought your phone outright then put your 3 SIM into it then yes you'd have to visit an Apple store with your phone's purchase receipt.

My iPad is full with GarageBand projects. I want to move whole projects from iPad to my windows pc or my external harddrive to get work space on Ipad. I want to be able to import my projects back to the ipad in the future to continue work.
Appreciate some help.You should be able to copy the apps (and any other iTunes purchases) over to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. If you are already on iOS 5+ on your iPad then you should be able to update the iPad directly on the iPad via Settings > General > Software Update . -

I work on a mac but occasionally I have to work on a PC. Can I connect my PC to my mac so I don't have to use 2 different monitors?
Put the monitor on a KVM. Might be able to do a wired mouse and keyboard as well. KVM = keyboard, video, monitor switch.
Connect the common monitor to the KVM out and each machine's video to KVM's in. Then you switch the monitor so it is connected to the machine you want to currently use.
The tricky part is finding an appropriate KVM to handle the video connections for the two machines and monitor. No guarantees there. Many current KVM's have USB connections so there is less potential hastle with mice and keboards. But monitors use dvi, (mini-)displayport, vga, and hdmi. And you may need adapters/converters. So finding a appropriate KVM may be the hard part. -
I can't load 1 Imovie project. Imovie shows 5 projects but only 4 icons show of those. 1 projects symbol won't come up so I can't click on it to work on or play. Please help me as there's lots of work on this project I don't want to lose.

Well ... now that's the rub. I would actually welcome this intermediate version to play with (even with the cost of upgrading) if I could rely on it to be finalized into 6.0, full featured, without it taking as long as it has to Upgrade from AA3.0. I would say it was a VERY smart move to give us a preview of 6.0, if I felt in, say, six months they would provide us the fully functional update. But, HOW many years has it been. I felt screwed over while they played around with Sound Booth.
I was with you for a minute in most of what you said, until your credibility went down a couple notches with me on the statement trivializing midi functionality. I though that was a very clueless statement:
"but I have no need for a midi controller and if I want a drummer to keep perfect time I'll get a drum machine."
It does make some of your other statements suspect, tho I won't take it as far as therealdobro's "what's your stake" question. -

I created a file in PowerPoint 2003 that allows the user to click on words in a graphic and have definitions of the word pop-up. This only works in the PPT presentation, it does not work when I publish the file to PDF using Adobe Presenter, version 7.0.5, build 7588. Any suggestions?

That's not entirely surprising. Unfortunately, what you're doing cannot be replicated or executed properly in Presenter content, because trigger functions are essentially Active X controls native to the PowerPoint environment. And that's the problem: Active X commands are totally ignored when your deck is converted during the publishing process.
So what to do?
You have 2 options, and neither are "clean" solutions because each represents a bit of homework.
Scenario 1: what you could do is create a series of hidden slides that are associated with / correspond to each of the text elements you have on the first slide. You'd have to assign hyperlinks to the text boxes and then point the hyperlinks to the associated hidden slide. The upside here is that if you have to edit any content after-the-fact, is that you can conduct such edits directly in PowerPoint. But there is a drawback too; namely, that if you have to keep track of slide views, hidden slides are not tracked at all by LMSs (including Adobe Connect), so you'd have to come up w/ a formula for counting the number of visible slides so your presentation will mark a "complete" on the LMS.
Scenario 2: create a Flash interaction that effectively does the exact same thing. The drawback to this I hope is obvious: if you have any content edits, then you're forced to edit the file directly in Flash. The good news here, however, is that this solution only requires one slide, so you can effectively keep track of slide views if that's something you need if the course is deployed on an LMS.
Again, perhaps not ideal, but the above does represent alternative solutions to what you attempted to do in your sample deck.

Currently using Photoshop CS5, but with a replacement computer and upgrade to Yosemite, keep being told I need to install the legacy Java 6. Currently, Photoshop won't even open. I absolutely do not want to subscribe, don't want to mess with the cloud, just want to buy an upgrade to something that will run for a while longer. I don't care about Lightroom, Bridge, Illustrator, etc.; most of those I've deleted over the years. But I do use Photoshop - or would if it would still run. What options do I have?

It's also possible you may have to reinstall photoshop cs5 even after installing the above java, because sometimes the upgrade to mac os x 10.10 messes up the photoshop cs5 installation.

I can't lock screen on Ipad mini. My lock screen button is working for shutdowning Ipad, but don't working for lock screen. Also I tried to lock screen from Assistive Touch and it's not working. When I click lock screen on assistive touch it nothing happens.
