As far as I can tell, you got an Exception Violation in windows, meaning that an unauthorized program (probably your jvm) tried to access a protected memory page.
My guess is - this happened when the JVM tried to allocate more memory to itself. What are the -Xmx and -Xms settings on your java command line? try to raise the -Xms a little. This sometimes helps.
Of course, the correct answer is 'lose windows' but I guess you can't do that...
Nimo.

It can be that you have an old version of Photoshop Elements and a new camera.
    Please tell us
Which operating system you are running on
Which version of Photoshop Elements you are using
Which camera the raw images come from (Make & model)

Those error message (I think) are the result of opening an email from this support site. The guys that develop Mozilla support are not all that skilled in email they say. But it could be any add-on that that source. It is Thunderbird HTML sanitizer dropping unsafe commands. it may not in fact indicate any issue. My error console lights up like a Christmas tree with similar errors when I open RSS feeds.
So what is your real issue? You don't look in the error console without reason as a general rule.

  • Silly ?, what would you do with these feet?!

I'm converting my grandkids Christmas picture to B/W. However, one of the kids' feet are taking a lot of attention! Would you do any editing to calm them down?

There's not a lot you can do, because the light area of the feet is completely overexposed -- no detail to restore.  You'll have to manually paint in some dark grays:
Make a selection of the feet
Use the Color Picker to pick a medium gray colour from the shaded area of the feet.
Use the Brush tool with these settings:
to paint over the feet in the selected area.  Try to follow the natural shapes of the feet:
With the feet still selected, use Enhance...Adjust Lighting...Levels (Ctrl+L) with these settings to fine-tune the retouching:
    You'll get something like this:

  • What is going on with these paths?

I received this file from a client. I don't know what they've done, but I can't edit/reverse engineer it. I've tried ungrouping and releasing the compound path, but I get an error message saying "Can't ungroup the objects." As you can see in the Layers panel, they look diferent than other paths. If I select a single one of these paths, the Appearance panel shows it as a Compound Shape. I think they've done something funky with the Pathfinder panel, but it's got me scratching my head. I know I've seen something like this in the Layers panel beore, but I'm drawing a blank.

There is an inconsistency in the Pathinder palette's menu. If you select a compound shape while the Pathfinder palette (tab) is not active and if you then activate the palette, the Release Compound Shape command is greyed out.
If you first activate the Pathfinder palette, then select the compound shape, the Release command should be available.
    That did the trick. Thanks.

  • Please help me with these errors...if you can...

Ok, I downloaded the Safari for windows. I start the browser and I get this message
"Safari can’t open the page “http://www.apple.com/startpage”. The error was: “unknown error” ((null):10061) Please choose Report Bugs to Apple from the Help menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message."
    Other browsers work perfectly.
The other error I have is with Itunes (I know this is not the place to post that, but if you have any idea, maybe you can help with that one too). Itunes runs fine, it tells me there is a new version of firmware for my ipod nano, when I hit update, it tells me the apple server cannot be found. My internet connection is working perfectly.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you in advance!
    Bobby-

I have been facing these very same problems (“unknown error” ((null):10061) and the i-Tunes one) and I am surprised to see that even after two months of the first posting of these problems, no apple afficiando has condescended to post a cure for us lesser souls!
There were some other posts as well posting the same problems (“unknown error” ((null):10061) ) - and all they have been advised is to go back to IE! What a shame!
    Any higher apple souls listening?

I was getting an update and it would not load so I tried to uninstall and reinstall.  Now when it reinstalls it gets to the end and it comes up with the following error message.
Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
This is on my desktop that I have had for a number of years that has had itunes for a number of years.  I have an two ipods and an ipad associated with the itunes account.  Now I can not get it to go past this message.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

  • What's going on with the errors here?

    Hi all,
My run arrow is unbroken, but my error list shows four errors (and numerous warnings). I have always thought that errors caused broken run arrows? In my error list, snapshot below (with some confidential info smeared out), I get 4 errors and 68 warnings. If I uncheck the Show Warnings tag, the warnings and errors disappear! (second snapshot below). Anyone know what's up here? If it helps, I've included the strict type-defined cluster that the errors are referring to.
My second confusing issue: I'm not sure I understand how a front panel control based on strict type-defined cluster can have an undefined type? If it's referring to some of the elements within the cluster (which are all refnums) then there's nothing I can do as three of them are string refnums and have the "Include type def" option ghosted out!? (they can be seen as the three controls without red stars in the third snapshot).
Anyone with any pearls of wisdom?
    Cheers,
    Thoric

Am a glutton for punishment. Tried this from home, replaced the strict type-defined cluster of indicator refnums with a new custom control - identical in design. Reloaded main vi from project and all is well
Most bizarre bug there though. Have had things get corrupted before, but usually when it's a far bigger custom control, not one so small/simple.
    Thanks for the help!

  • What do I do with these printer files?

I've just successfully got a secondhand laser printer to work using the manufacturers driver (manually copied files into place), but it came with some extra files, "Halftones", which are some .bmp's of dot patterns, and "Profiles" which are icc profiles. I know they are something to do with the printers colour settings, but I don't know how to use them. Can someone help?

    Oops, sorry!
Ok, printer is Konica Minolta Magicolor 2530dl. After struggling with the driver from the supplied disk I downloaded the foo2zjs driver from the AUR, which works reasonably well, but then downloaded the 64bit driver from the manufacturers website, which gives much better results, so there is no problem with the driver which is why I didn't mention it. The driver is supplied in rpm format and very old, so I thought file locations might be different (they aren't as it happens) so extracted and copied the files, I just didn't see the point in making a package (which for me means learning how to make a package, and I haven't got time) for 2 files, namely a .ppd and filter. But for these halftone and profile files I don't have anything to compare to and I don't know if they are being used correctly or if some other part of the system is supposed to be able to find them or what. I know that icc profiles are widely used, I just don't know how. and seeing as the halftone files are in an adjacent directory I'm assuming they are used together, again don't know how.
Okay that looked like quite a rant, apologies.
Oh and since the hardware works fine I didn't want to post in "Kernel & Hardware" - this looks like part of some kind of mystery application to me.

  • Is it possible to restart jobs defined using BMV0 with these errors?

    Hi All,
I have got this direct input job defined in BMV0 and scheduled as an event related periodic job. The job gets restarted when the errors are 'system_cancelled' , 'Dataset cant open' etc., but when the job errors are 'Session cant be protected', 'error due system shutdown',the job is not getting restarted and its giving a message 'A job with the same name has not yet ended'.this message is getting displayed when the job gets cancelled....If I check in SM37 , its cancelled and the error in the job log is 'error due to system shutdown' or 'session cant be protected'.
So Is it possible for this periodic job to get triggered even when the latter set of errors occur?
When the event triggers agin, the job gets restarted if the error is 'system_cancelled' but if they are the above set of errors, the job gets cancelled again and the message in the job log of sm37 is a job with the same name has not yet ended.
