There are so many things to download and it is quite confusing
Thanks for your help

  • How to run a silent configuration for Forms and Reports 11g ?

    Hi all,
    I've run a silent installation for Oracle Forms and Reports 11g R2 in Windows 7 64 bit.
    I made it using a response file called install_only.rsp. Now I want to run the configuration also in silent mode.
    How can I do it ?
    I know that I can use a template called configure_only.rsp. However, i don't know what is the correct syntax for the command to start configuration.
    Should I use the same setup.exe installer and inform configure_only.rsp as response file ?
    The command below is the appropriate command for this task:
    setup.exe -silent -response configure_only.rsp
    Or is there another way to be followed?
    Thanks a lot.

    Alright, I eventually found the answer.
    Configuration must be run from directory on windows.
    Command is shown below:
    <FORMS_HOME>/bin/config.bat -silent -response <path-to-response-file>

  • Migration of forms and reports developed using Headstart  VERSION 3.4.1

    Hi,
    We have developed an application in forms 4.5 reports 2.0 based on repository 1.3.2 and Headstart
    Designer/2000 Template Package VERSION 3.4.1
    Now we want to migrate to Oracle 9i(web enabled)
    1)Is it possible to migrate only the forms and reports in 4,5 to 9i without the designer repository?Can the repository be left out?
    2)What about the templates and packages on the 2000 Headstart version.Is it necessary to migrate the same to 9i also?
    2)In case the repository has also to be migrated how do i go about migration to 9i??
    4)In case the headstart template/packages to be migrated how do i migrate to 9i?
    5)Where is the documentation available for headstart?
    Kindly help..

    Hi 23768 ( ;-) ),
    There is a whole wealth on information regarding upgrade/migration of headstart generated application systems.
    What you need is a licence on iDevelopment Accellerators and the Supplement Option (cso.oracle.com) to download this material.
    Contact your Oracle Consulting representative if you would like to know how to do this.

  • What is the Future of Forms and Reports in Fusion Middleware ????

    Dear members,
    This is a general question that every body has, but i need a correct answer ( not rumours). Lately Oracle has been promoting its BI Publisher or XML Publisher for generating reports with various layouts easily.
    1. Will BI or XML Publisher replace Oracle reports Builder in FUSION ???
    2. Will Oracle Forms be there in FUSION ??
    I would really appreciate if any body can expand on this.
    Thanks

    Hello,
    As it is specified in the Tools SOD :
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/pdf/10g/ToolsSOD.pdf
    Oracle’s development teams are already working on features for Forms/Reports 11g and beyond.
    And some new features of Reports 11g have been presented at the ODTUG 2007 :

  • What do I need for Mic and Guitar?

    I'm new to GB. I have ilife 11.
    I've got a few electric guitars and a condenser mic (phantom power). What do I need to plug them into my Macbook Pro?
    I don't want to spend too much money and am looking for something that works well, sounds good and is hassle free (plug and play) I just want to lay down some demos.
    Something like this? It really does not have great reviews.
    http://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-US44010-Interface-GT-Player-Software/dp/B00061ZM2Y
    What do you guys and girls recommend? A little direction would be much appreciated!

    If you can push your budget up to $249, you'd be doing yourself a HUGE favor. This gives you the ability to pick up the Apogee One. Apogee is a company that's well respected, and makes really good stuff. This has a mic input, guitar input, made for Mac. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/One/
    The M-Audio stuff gets pretty good as you step up into the higher priced models and the firewire ProFire stuff, but it's hard to beat the Apogee One as an entry level interface.
    In my opinion, anything that costs less than $249 (the lower end M-Audio stuff) is simply not very good. If you're going to spend the money, make it worth it.

  • Satelitte Pro A200 PSAE4E - What BIOS I need for update and how to do this?

    Guidance please on A) the correct update version required B) the process
    A) the machine came with Vista installed but it was down graded to XP to work on the Win2003/XP network.
    The current bios Vers V5.20 do I upgrade to Vers 2.60 - win 32 (vista) or 5.60 Win
    B) Toshiba FAQ - FAQ Ref.: TRO0000000b07 lists how to upgrade the bios unfortunately it does not list the Satelitte Pro A200 - so what is the procedure - thanks in anticipation.

    Hi!
    If you want to update the BIOS you need the version 5.60. The other version are for Vista and only 5.60 is for XP and so its the right one for you.
    The BIOS update procedure is pretty easy. The update is Windows based that mean you can update it on Windows. Therefore extract all files from the zip archive and start the exe file. Then your BIOS will be updated.
    But before you update it, close all running programs even your AntiVirus and Firwall and connect the AC/DC adaptor.
    Good luck!
    Bye

  • What do I need for forms

    I am having no real luck reseaching what version of adobe software that i need to make simple basic fillable forms.  Can anyone tell me what version do I need, i want the most basic version that can make a simple fillable form.
    Thank You

    One can use Open Office Org's Open Office to crate forms in Writer with form fields and one can then export this form for a PDF along with various PDF optinong. Write will populate the drop down and combo list fields. For any special scripting action, one will need Acrobat Standard9 or Nitro PDF.

    I'm using Run_Product. But am not sure how to pass parameter list. any help is appreciated.
    thank
    ---himanshu

    In this example V_SYSTEM_ID is the parameter created in Reports and Node_value is the value I am passing. Hope this helps
    DECLARE
    pl_id ParamList;
    node number;
    node_value number;
    al_button number;
    v_system_id number;
    BEGIN
    ** Check to see if the 'tmpdata' parameter list exists.
    pl_id := Get_Parameter_List('tmpdata');
    ** If it does, then delete it before we create it again in
    ** case it contains parameters that are not useful for our
    ** purposes here.
    IF NOT Id_Null(pl_id) THEN
    Destroy_Parameter_List( pl_id );
    END IF;
    ** Create the 'tmpdata' parameter list afresh.
    pl_id := Create_Parameter_List('tmpdata');
    ** Add 3 data parameters to this parameter list
    Add_Parameter(pl_id,'V_SYSTEM_ID',TEXT_PARAMETER, node_value);
    **Pass a Parameter into PARAMFORM so that a parameter dialog will not appear
    **for the parameters being passing in.
    Add_Parameter(pl_id, 'PARAMFORM', TEXT_PARAMETER, 'NO');
    ** Run the report synchronously, passing the parameter list
    Run_Product(REPORTS, 'WRKPKG_HIER',
    SYNCHRONOUS, RUNTIME,FILESYSTEM, pl_id,
    NULL);

    Currently you have to install everything and then you can remove the infrastructure database.

    We are planing on a Forms/Report only installation in future Oracle9iAS.

  • Admin training for WebLogic Server - just the Forms and Reports parts

    We will be upgrading our Forms & Reports application from 10gR2 to 11g. Our customers (well their DBAs) will need to install and manage WebLogic Server. So I'm looking for a training course where they can learn how to do that. The WebLogic Server admin course is 5 days, and another 4 for Advanced System Admin, which seems a lot as they are only going to use the parts required for Forms and Reports.
    I have read through the tutorial Using Oracle Enterprise Manager to Administer Forms Services. Is this the extent of what they need to know, or is there another chunk of the iceberg under the water? Can you recommend a training course please.

    Hi,
    After installing forms, the installer itself configures the WLS with the domains etc and also deploys the forms. Once after this, it is similar to that of 10g Application Server. All the maintenance of the forms is done using Enterprise Manager (EM Console). So, the section you mentioned should suffice.

  • Is there any impact analysis tool for Oracle Forms and Reports

    Hi All
    We are curretly looking at tools available to do impact analysis in Oracle Forms and Reports. This is for the maintainance of a large Oracle application developed using forms and reports 10g. We use Oracle Designer but only to maintain the db structure and not for forms and reports generation. Our intension is to find out the impact of db model changes, stored procedure changes in Oracle Forms and Reports. Please suggest any tools that are currently used for this purpose.
    I remember manually maintaining the CRUD matrix for Oracle Forms and Reports for maintainance purpose. CRUD matrix will have the list of all the tables which are affected by the module. But this is a manual activity and hence the responsibility is with the dev team to keep the document updated. Please suggest if there is any alternative to this way which can be more effecient and less error prone...
    I also wonder how these are done in Oracle ERP? how the apps team in oracle is maintaining the forms and reports?
    Thnaks in Advance

    Quest (the makers of TOAD) have a tool called SQL Impact which gathers data from forms, reports, triggers, packages etc.
    FormsMate is a simple, cheap alternative for comparing or searching in forms.
    http://www.jockvale.ca/products.html
    Alternatively, you can export forms to xml (with iff2xml90.bat) and reports to jsp (with rwconverter) and simply grep those and your sql scripts. There are grep tools for windows if you need.
