What does this CRASH reflects??
HI,
I've been coming across the following crash incident very oftenly(many times in a day). Can some one pls point any understandable meaning in it for me?? The following is just one of the top lines from the very fresh crash report which is also here enclosed as a simple text file.
c:\builds\penguin\labview\branches\Jupiter\dev\source\typedesc\TypeManagerObjects.cpp(321) : DWarn: You should not be calling TMBeginTransaction in the middle of an UndoRedo prop types!

Got some feedback from the NI support, sharing the info here.
Thank you for your queries. I've looked at your log file and noticed that
this is a DWarn message. DWarns are not fatal so LV will generally keep
running - does LabVIEW crash when running the VI? Or do you get this error
dialog on startup?
If LabVIEW doesn't crash and the VI behaves as expected we can disable the
specific DWarn so that you won't get this messages again. Please let me
know if you would like to know how to do this. Otherwise we can start
troubleshooting the cause of the error.
For starters, the error log file indicates that the error occurred while in
'dau_stand3_U.vi'. Can you reproduce the error with this VI? Is the error
intermittently appears?
DWarn is a warning that occurred during the last time you were using
LabVIEW. By default LabVIEW does not show a dialog at the time of the
warning since it is not critical to execution. However, it is hard to
identify the cause of the DWarn without knowing when it occurred. By adding
the following line to your LabVIEW.ini file you will see a dialog
immediately when the error occurs, which will help you (and NI) identify
the cause.
DWarnDialog = TRUE
It will show a dialog and halt execution of your program when the DWarn
error occurs. Please let me know how you go with these tests.
Kind regards,

What does this crash report mean?
This iMac does not work and has not worked for a couple of months due to kernel panics. The drive is FileVault encrypted.
I received this crash report after attempting to unlock the iMac's internal drive in recovery mode. I think this is a new error.
"panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff7fa2b13c0c): "CoreStorage: lfs_sync: ran out of free segments\n"@/SourceCache/CoreStorage/CoreStorage-296.10/noweb/lfs.mm:2008"
I don't recall receiving that one before.
Thanks

I got the same sort of message on my late-2013 27 iMac a couple of weeks back. The iMac is only 8 months old.
Having googled for the above, I came to this single thread about it.
No matter what I did (safe mode, recovery mode, target disk mode, single user mode, repair mode, zap NVRAM), it would keep rebooting in the middle of the mode!
It's been sent away to be repaired by an Apple Authorised Service Provider and I'm due to receive it back in a couple of days.
They had to replace the logic board and the SSD part of the Fusion drive.

Any idea what's wrong with my spotlight? If this is one of the cache errors I've seen (occasionally), it could be an error in the index, and I'd reset Spotlight.
This to force it to re-index the whole environment.
Usually +sudo mdutil -E+ is usually enough. See +man mdutil+ for details.
Odd Spotlight crashes can also occasionally be remediated with a permissions repair, or there can be a disk error around.
Worst case (with Spotlight), there are a few more commands to restart and re-index Spotlight, or (if that fails) you might download and re-apply the delta for 10.6.7. If there's a disk error triggering it, then you get to try to find it.
[Here is an article on a Spotlight index reset|http://labs.hoffmanlabs.com/node/1253], FWIW. -
What does this crash log indicate the problem is?

I've got a zillion of these. NEVER once with snow leapord. I've reported this to apple near every time i've gotten the error This is a fresh install. I assume it's my graphcis card? It's a Nvidia GT 120 256MBYes, NVIDIA card. Reporting the error helps because the more reports Apple gets the more likely they will focus on it. But don't expect a reply.
Make an appt. at the Genius Bar of an Apple store, it may need to be replaced. -
Any ideas be a big help as Apple don't make it easy to figure these things out.
Happens when rendering, or exporting to Compressor or just editing. Tried the usual:
-deleted prefs
-re-set PRAM
-changed drives to render to

I'm trying to download my Master CS6 onto a new hard drive because my old one crashed and I keep getting a message saying " Cannot write the file" or "I don't have permission to access the requested resource." ? What does this mean?
Yes- it is a Mac. I went through adobes system requirements and re- downloaded supportive software. The notice seems to happen near the end of the down load with the messages above. I'll look into your suggestion. Thank you- appreciated.

My macbook pro displays a folder with a question mark and won't open. What does this mean and how can I fix it?
it means your HD and the software can't find each other, the following article tells how to troubleshoot this issue:
https://support.apple.com/kb/TS1440
hopefully you have backup of your data since sometimes this means the HD is crashing.
if the article doesn't resolve the issue i would take the mac to apple store or service provider and have it looked at, the following link tells how to find one close to you:
https://locate.apple.com
good luck!! -

Why has my monitor suddenly begun to have a moiré pattern all over – it is even showing up on my icons on the dock? It appears to be very thin bright green vertical lines. I have a 2007 iMac which is running 10.6.8. What does this mean? I've attached some screen shots below.
Also experiencing some funky issues with my wireless keyboard. With new batteries, it will just stop functioning. Certain keys intermittently won't work. Also the fans go on as soon as I turn the computer on - some times they stay on and sometimes they don't. Ever since upgrading the operating system - I've been having many issues with this iMac. Not happy. Any answers out there? Thanks for your reply LexSchellings, There is no disc in the drive and I went through the suggestions you put forward on the phone with Apple support without any luck. I can put a disc in but it pops straight back out again without registering on finder.
The idea of using an external drive was to enable me to avoid the cost and loss of productivity whilst machine in repair... if I have to take it in to get the old drive removed than I might as well have a new internal drive put in, although I do worry about the reliability of these apple drives given my experience with this one coupled with my limited online research ... on line forums seem to be full of people with the same problem (although perhaps searching such forums is bound to make it seem a common problem as users with perfectly working machines are less likely to post (?)) Your reply suggests that no external drive will work whilst the existing drive is in place.
As a postscript: I do realise that this is a user forum ...my secondary question was asking if anyone knows how to put forward a case/complaint to Apple... I can't find a link on the support page that would enable me to do so and I was wondering if anyone on this user forum had any ideas/experience.. -
