What else can be used

Hi all,
am having problem to iterate to next record when using when validate record trigger.
what else can be used instead of next_record to iterate through?
thanks.

following is the problem where i have to calculate backlog by comparing it with the value presented in the database and that of the changed by user.
for exmaple in ven_share table share_quota defined was 100% and user changes it to 40 backlog should contain 60
upto this my logic is working fine but when i iterate to next record i want backlog to show previous + newly changed value..
can you suggest now how can it work in any other way??
declare
     v_share number(3);
     bck number(4);
--     total_bck number(3);
cursor c1 is select share_quota from ven_share where vendor_code=:ven_share.vendor_code;
begin
          first_record;
--open c1;
--fetch c1 into v_share;
for i in c1
loop
     v_share:=i.share_quota;
     if v_share<>:ven_share.share_quota--,:system.cursor_record
          then
          if v_share>:ven_share.share_quota
               then
               :ven_share.backlog:=v_share-:ven_share.share_quota;
               bck:=:ven_share.backlog;
               --next_record;
--     total_bck:=bck+v_share-:ven_share.share_quota;
          end if;
     end if;
--          if :ven_share.vendor_code is null
--               then
--                    null;
                    --bck:=:ven_share.backlog;
          --     else
          --     if v_share>:ven_share.share_quota then
                                   --     message(v_share);
     --     message(:ven_share.share_quota);
          --          :ven_share.backlog:=bck+v_share-:ven_share.share_quota;
     --     end if;
--          end if;
     --     end if;
--     end if;
EXIT WHEN :SYSTEM.LAST_RECORD ='TRUE';
--NEXT_RECORD;
end loop;
end;
thanks

  • What else can I use beside Compressor?!

    Compressor is now useless to me. Unknown time remaining will not fix. What else can I use? Anyone know?

    Look, we understand your frustration and, since we've been hanging out here a long time, we differentiate newbie issues as separate from actual or legitimate problems by seeking information newbies refuse or simply do not understand how to supply. You've added significant information that will allow us to assist you.
    Compared to the hundreds of thousands of successful and happy Compressor users, "plenty of people" is not significant.
    The next post in this thread suggests your only hope is a complete system wipe and reinstallation. Do you want to try that and report back to us?
    It is useless if it doesnt work and yes I've never gotten to use it. I have used lessons on lynda.com. It's not that I don't know what I'm doing. Try a simpler batch, I was using the simplest of batches. The setting is conventional. I spent time on the phone with 2 different Apple tech people who know compressor. I assure you I have spent the entire day trying to fix this to no avail.
    I've learned that plenty of other people have this same problem with no solution being offered here or from Apple.

  • HT1665 Left my charger at friends what else can I use for iphone?

    What can I use to charge my iphone besides the charger it came with. Left mine at friends

    Do you have the cable?  If so you can use any charger that has a USB port or plug it into a computer USB port.  If you have an iPad or iPod, you can charge it using those chargers.

  • New to IPS 4240 - What else can I use to manage it?

    I have just purchased a Cisco IPS 4240 and have it up and running. Have been using the IEV to view IPS information and that works ok. The VMS 2.2 that came included with the IPS will not work with the current Cisco works (LMS 2.5) installation that we have.
    My question is, is there any other tool besides the IEV and the VMS 2.2 that I can use to mange/monitor my IPS? the IEV seems so limited.
    I have downloaded the newer VMS from the Cisco site and am planning to test that this comming week, but wanted to know ahead of time if I needed to waste my time with this tool or not.
    Thanks!

    The latest CSMARS release is promising and honestly the netforensics solution offered by Cisco probably wouldn't be a good fit for the op, but I think Cisco needs to rething pushing the MARS in leui of everything else. As a previous customer of netforensics, and now a user of CSMARS...there are definitely many things that netforensics does better than CSMARS.
    My biggest beef with CSMARS is the seemingly casual way in which it treats time and "raw messages". IMHO, these should be sacred to any SIM. I can elaborate, but for the sake of brevity I'll just give a couple examples:
    The signature name reported in the "raw message" that MARS makes available is not always correct. Also, custom signature events report as "unknown" in the "raw message". Clearly this is not a "raw message" by any reasonable interpretation...MARS is writing bits that never existed in the original message.
    the event contextual information is very often truncated. If you rely on this a great deal, the MARS probably isn't for you. There's also no interface for decoding it, requiring a cut-and-paste into your favorite decoder.
    Believe me, I could go on. On the bright side, the MARS is showing promise...I was able to cross off my list quite a few issues after the latest upgrade.

  • I have a power mac OSX version 10.5 but firefox says my system is not compatible for firefox 4 download. What else can I use?

    My main problem is that I cannot seem to download flashplayer 10.1. Adobe says to try downloading another browser such as firefox. I click on that and it says firefox 4 is not compatible with my computer. HELP

    For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4.0, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 . <br />

  • IMessage on Lion. - why not? - or... what else can I use?

    I was really looking forward to getting iMessage on Lion.
    Surely that's the point of iCloud to unify your devices and enable you to e.g.. come in from work, put down your phone, switch on your iMac and go through your messages continuing conversations.
    My scenario:
    My business partner and I are constantly messaging each other but we each have to move around during the day.
    We simply want a messaging programme that will work with our iphones, macbooks and imacs.
    I want to see the record of both sides of our conversation whichever device I use.
    Looks like I'll have to stick with clunky Skype which does at least have this feature.
    Any better suggestions?

    HI,
    The Apple IDs from @mac.com and @me.com (Older MobileMe and more recent iCloud Names) are also Valid AIM Screen names.
    Any other sort of Apple ID is not a Valid AIM Name.
    A Google ID that is associated with Google Mail Account (And has "Talk" enable on your Google Settings) can be used in iChat as  Jabber Name/ID.  (Google Run  Jabber server).
    Jabber and AIM are different IM Services and it is not easy or straight forward to add Buddies from one Service to the Buddy List of another.  (As A Starting point consider it "impossible")
    iChat 4 and 5 have links to the registration page of @Mac.com here with a "Get an iChat Account" button in the add (Account) screen  (You select @mac.com or MobileMe and then press the Button - Choosing AIM and then pressing the button used to lead to the AIM registration page but AIM moved their page).
    Apple IDs can be any valid email (or an @mac.com or iCloud registration)
    Therefore you could make a Google ID into an Apple ID.
    However this will not be a valid AIM Screen Name the way @mac.com or MobileMe/iCloud ones are.

    Hello Terri0125,
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
    You have a couple of options here. First you can use this article to manage your iCloud storage:
    iCloud: Managing your iCloud storage
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847
    You can manage the storage either from your device, or from a computer. Whichever is more convenient for you.
    You can also backup your device to iTunes for a local backup if you want.

    Mavericks does really nasty stuff..
    Try manually mounting the sparsebundle and extract the files you want.
    Yet another Pondini reference. http://pondini.org/TM/15.html
    We have avoided Mavericks you see knowing that it would cause these kinds of issues..
    You never ever load a new OS without doing a disk image beforehand.. TM is not reliable enough or trustworthy to be depended on.
    If none of the above work..
    I would get a USB drive on the computer and install Mountain Lion or whatever OS you had before you unfortunately upgraded to Mavericks.. Then use TM from that decent installation but mount the sparsebundle and choose the backup from a date well before mavericks was installed.
    Once you have extracted the files.. or even done a full restore you might be able to extract the files you want.

    I have no clue what you mean by "all the different methods."  Here are my suggestions.
    First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
    If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
    At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
    If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
        1.    First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
        2.    Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
        3.    If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • Just bought a 5C iphone and when I when I tried to download everything from my computer it won't let me because I need to upgrade the IOS.  Unfortunately my apple computer is older so it won't let me download.  What else can I do?

    I just bought a iphone 5c and when I tried to use my computer to download the syncd version of my phone I found out I needed the latest version of the IOS.  I tried downloading the latest version and it won't let me do it unless I upgrade.  What else can I do?  I don't want to buy a new computer....

    If you want to synch your iPhone with iTunes on your computer, you will need to meet the minimum requirements.  If this requires you to upgrade your computer then you will need to do so.  System requirements for the iPhone 5c are clearly posted on Apple's website and this should have been considered before you bought your phone.  There's no way around the system requirements.
