What event does FMS server fire when a clients starts/stops streaming
I want to log activities on my stream (both live and recorded) using a web service I've made. In the FMS server side AS3 documentation I can find events for onconnect/ondisconnect, but that is not quite what I want. What I want is and event that fires when a user start viewing a stream, or stops viewing. Today I'm using the following code:
application.onConnect = function(client)
client.getStreamLength = function( streamName ) {
LogStart('', this.id, this.ip, streamName);
return Stream.length( streamName );
this.acceptConnection(client);
However not all clients uses the getStreamLength, so this does not realy work. The problem is that in the "onConnect" even I do not have access to the streamname, else I think I could have used this event.
Thanks in advance
Hi Wujemurray,
If you'd be so kind as to email me offlist we'll get a support incident opened for this and can get to the bottom of the issue you're facing.

What event does LoginProcess generates?
I have a login portlet. After a user successfully logged in, a different jsp page--Home.jsp
need to be displayed in the login portlet.
I am using the same webflow as the sampleportal. When the security webflow reached
the LoginProcess Input Processor (com.bea.portal.appflow.processor.security.LoginProcessor),
it should connect to Home.jsp upon certain event.
The question is : What event does this LoginProcess IP generates upon success. I
tried "success" and "login". None worked.
Please Help or give any suggestions!
EllenI'm assuming you both are using Portal 4.0 and having trouble creating login
portlets. This is a known issue with 4.0 because of the way that it handles
login. There are ways to fix this, but they are not the cleanest in the
world.
Login in 4.0 uses the standard form based authentication from the J2EE spec.
To make a long story short, there is some magic that is happening in the
Security webflow to get this to work because this functionality is in the
weblogic server. Therefore, the LoginProcessor IP does not return a value.
It "escapes" the webflow so that weblogic server can do the login (roughly).
Then weblogic server uses the welcome-page entry in the web.xml file to
determine what page to redirect the user to upon successful login. Normally
this page is index.jsp, which places the user back into the webflow.
So, what you can do to make this work is to add an IP before the
LoginProcessor that adds something to the session that denotes the fact that
someone is attempting to login. Then you can check this in index.jsp and if
it exists, forward the request to a webflow URL that will cause the portlet
to display the home.jsp page or whatever.
You also have to be careful of the dreaded form-error-page parameter in the
web.xml file. If the user unsuccessfully logins in, weblogic server
redirects them to this page (which is not in the webflow obviously). Another
little trick you can do is edit the badlogin.jsp page (which is the default
form-error-page) so that it forwards the request to a webflow URL that
displays a bad login message in the login portlet.
Hope that helps.

Same Issue here, I opened a case and BEA said to add my process beforeLoginProcessor.
This is of little value because the flow goes thru this point if it avalid signon
or an invalid signon.
If there is a return value from LoginProcessor that identifies a validlogin that
you can hang a new pipe from it would make life very simple.

FMS server buffer delay 5-6 sec live stream ?
FMS server buffer delay 5-6 sec live stream ?
To reduce the delay you can try disabling aggregate messages.
You need to set Streams/EnableAggMsgs in Server.xml and Client/AggregateMessages in Application.xml to false.
See more about Aggregate messages here : http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/configadmin/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d119f2925 e64-7ff0.html#WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d119f2925e64-7feb
Hope this helps.

HT2463 Why does my apple tv play one song then stops streaming?
Why does my apple tv play one song then stops streaming?
Make sure all of your songs have a checkmark next to the song title. There are small blue boxes that need to be checked for songs to play consecutively.
If the library is unchecked, you can easily recheck things by clicking on a song, going to the top line selecting Edit>Select All, then right clicking on the selection and choosing "Check Selection". -
How can I find what Event a photo is in when that photo is found via Faces?
I've stumbled upon a photo via the Faces category. I do not know what Event this photo exists in, but I'd like to know (this same issue can occur with a photo found via Places of course too). How do I find out what Event this photo exists in? Of course I can pull the date or title data from the photo and then search for that data and visually find the photo from the search results, but I would assume there would be a much much easier method.
None of the information data seems to contain any event data. I would think each photo would contain information as to what Event it currently resides in.Wait until iPhoto is done scanning for new images in the ".. might also be in the photos below" section, then right click (or Option-Click if your mouse has no right button) on the image, and in the last group of the menu that pops up should be an item "Show Event". While it's still scanning for more faces, the "Show Event" menu item isn't shown yet.

Invalid username or password when trying to start/stop SES
I've recently taken over this project as the previous person left the company. Last week everything was running just fine. This week, when I tried to go to either the search page or the admin page, I see:
Internet Explorer can not display the Webpage.
It seems something died on the server.
When I exectue the searchctl.bat, I get the following error.
oracle.search.config.OESException: Error while executing action: "stopall"
Caused by: oracle.search.config.OESException: Invalid username or password. Unable to connect to Oracle SES.
at oracle.search.config.Ctl.run(Ctl.javva:2119)
at oracle.search.config.Ctl.main(Ctl.java:2173)
Caused by: oracle.search.config.OESException: Invalid username or password. Unable to connect to Oracle SES.
I'm not promoted for a username/password so I don't know if it's trying to use my windows login or if it's reading from a config file somewhere. If it's the former, then I need to give myself access (I do have the admin username/password).
Version info:
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.5.0
SES 10.1.8
Windows Server 2002 SP 2
The server was patched and restarted over the weekend.
I also tried rebooting the server to see if it would automatically startup, and it didn't.
Edited by: 903593 on Dec 20, 2011 4:00 PMYour directions were fine.
The only admin account I have is eqsys, not sys. And this account was able to connect to the Admin page last week before the server restart.
I entered
sqlplus eqsys/[pwd] as sysdbaIt returns:

If I insetad enter

So, of course if I enter

I get

What file does network settings touch when setting proxy?
I've set automatic proxy automatic configuration file in Gnome3, after I uninstalled Gnome3 and switch to i3-wm, the proxy setting just works. But when I want to update the setting, I can't find the configure file from nowhere.
I digged in my .config directory for long, but nothing was found. Some people say such a file does not exist, I just want to know how do those desktop environments make it?
Thanks.
PS: Even if I would quit this, the former proxy is too old to use, yet Chrome would like to use system proxy setting, so Chrome can't use the proxy any more. OK, this is another question.....Well, if it was NetworkManager that you were using, it has its configs under /etc/NetworkManager. /etc/ is generally where system config stuff lives.

What role does a trust contact when creating a trust
When I create a trust between ForestA/DomainA in networkA to ForestB/DomainB/NetworkB
Does it contact the closest GC or does it contact the PDC role?So on my internal forest/domain on physical network (A)
I have a DC which pretty much holds all the roles
the on another physical network call it (B) I have another writable DC which does not hold any roles other than GC.
then on the DMZ network of this physical network (B), I have a new forest/domain and a new writable DC
the writable DC on this network B has rules to allow communication between the DMZ network DC and the writable DC. When creating a trust between this DMZ DC on network (B) does the writable DC need communication to the PDC on network (A) ?
I cannot validate the trust right now. -

What are we supposed to do when the magic mouse stops working?
Everything was fine last night, until my mouse again lost it's connection. The light was blinking fine, but no connection, I changed batteries (even tho the ones inside showed nearly a full charge), still wouldn't work. I realized, ok, now what? Shouldn't Apple include a corded mouse, for back-up, should the bluetooth one screw up, die, or for whatever reason, not work any longer?
Again, I felt totally frustrated, couldn't even look up the local Apple Store number, (too late to call tech help), or do anything! *** is someone supposed to do? I thought I may have an old, wired mouse somewhere, as I had just moved. Well, somehow I found it, plugged it in, but it didn't work either (I think that tiny, all-too-fragile wire had frayed a bit), so I was really frustrated & helpless feeling. Remembered I had bought the trackpad, so I pulled that out. Well, talk about confusion, the directions talked about first downloading the software, running software update, etc, before trying to connect it!
Since I had no way to do that (I know there's some way to navigate the monitor window, using only the keyboard, but while I tried what I could, I couldn't do anything but go up and down or side to side, no way to access the toolbar, but just now realized, I probably could've accessed the dock, & done something,...
But I turned on the pad & prayed, at first it didn't do anything, but then finally connected.
Once that happened, I turned on the mouse again, and now it worked. So I tried to turn the pad off, but it didn't want to turn off, it kept showing up on the screen.....eventually it turned off, and now things are back to normal.
But my question is what does Apple expect us to do, should the mouse screw up? What can be used if it goes down? They seem to have problems for most people, at times, & it seems a bit like not having a parachute...Saxman,
I think their parachute effort was System Preferences > Bluetooth > Advanced... > "Open Bluetooth Setup Assistant at startup when no input device is present". In your case the keyboard was there so it probably didn't open. Now that you have a mouse and trackpad, you should have at least one of them connect, so that's a bit of insurance.
I would also add those devices to bluetooth favorites located under the gear icon below the list. Select "show more information" if you don't see the favorites selection.
Regards,
Captfred -
What should be the normal behavior when calling a retired/stopped process?
Dear all,
I thought that when one of my asynchronous BPEL process would call another asynchronous BPEL process that is retired or stopped(with no other version number active), I would receive any kind of error. So I tried it, and instead of receiving an error, the first BPEL process sent his message and received the ack without any errors (that is in both cases, retired or stopped). So I checked if the message was put in the thread queue or any other kind of queue and no it wasn't. I tried to reactivate the second process, and nothing happened. So I guess the message had been lost. Is this the normal behavior??
Since we are implementing asynchronous processes to do a "fire and forget" type of system, we would have liked to receive some kind of error so we know that no instance had been instanciated and that the message had not really been delivered?
Can anyone tell me where I'm wrong. Is there a chapter talking about that in any document. If anyone has read about that I'd like to know where so I can understand the way it works!
Thank you! Thanks for your prompt reply,
I'm sorry but I'm not sure I understand the onError callback thing,
If we consider my called asynchronous process was a one-way process (no callbacks),
Correct me if I'm wrong but:
-This means I would have to define a callback in the called process (that onError callback).
-Then, I gotta put a receive or a pick activity, which means I need to wait for an error answer, which is not wanted.
-And, would a retired or stopped process really answer me and throw me an error?!?! I'm not sure since its stopped... So i would probably wait forever I guess.
I'm just trying to find a way to make sure the message has been taken in charge by the next process and if not, to be alerted!
Thanks for helping a beginner like me!
Btw I've read that post:
Re: How to throw a Fault from an asynchronous process to another process
It helps understanding the fault handling in asynch processes, but my problem is more about the fact that my async process is stopped/retired! -
How can i control when my animation starts/stops with external JS
I am making a web app that will allow you to go through "pages" by clicking and dragging or sliding your finger (touch devices).
I am wanting to make a seperate animation on Edge for each page and play it when the current page is on witht the relevant edge comp.
So far my code allows me to know what page is being viewed and that the animation should be played, however I can not figure out how to play the comp.
ie.
WHEN page = 1, play composition "page1".
If currentPage is not currentPage, stop composition "page 1".
Please could you help me as I've been racking my brain all day to figure this out.Hi,
