Hi Jerry_TKO,
If I understand correctly, you want to update to SQL Server 2008 R2 from earlier version. If in this scenario, we should notice that not all versions and editions are supported to update to SQL Server 2008 R2. For more details about supported versions and
editions in SQL Server 2008 R2, please see:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-IN/library/ms143393(v=sql.105).aspx
For local installations, you must run Setup as an administrator. If you install SQL Server from a remote share, you must use a domain account that has read and execute permissions on the remote share. The following document about how to upgrade to SQL Server
2008 R2 is for your reference:

  • What software do I need to create this animation?

Please watch the first 60 seconds of this video.  I want to create videos pretty much exactly like this fellow is doing.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYvmjdqpT7Y
What software do I need to create those multi-layered still-image animations?  I assume it's the same software that also does the animated text.
Anyone know what he's using to get those still images to animate under and over each other?
    -JOHN

Thank you for the replies.  I read up a bit on the software you all recommended.  The consensus seems to be that Motion is easier and more Mac-integrated than AfterEffects.  So, if I follow your advice, it's between Motion and Photoshop.  Photoshop seems to have a steep learning curve compared to Motion (I'm guessing) and Motion is also cheap at $49.
So all those floating images ... one image zooming in over another that stays stable ... pop up text ... all that can be done in Motion, right?
I ask again because the Apple promo page for Motion doesn't really give me an indication of it doing this, but I also understand this is creative software and it can do a lot of things that can't be individually intemized in a promo page.
If I can get those moving graphics, I'm sold.
    Thanks for the lead.

  • What files do I need to copy to move iCal data from an old hdd?

I have recently recovered the data from a broken hdd and want to reinstall my iCal data on my new hdd. I have copied 'user/library/application suport/ical', 'user/library/preferences/com.apple.ical.plist' and 'user/lbrary/calendars' from my old hdd to my new one but iCal still start up empty – without my old calendar data. Are there still some files I need to copy?

I strongly recommend you check in Native Instruments and confirm whether your version is even going to run. This is not always necessary, but in your specific case, you're trying to migrate software running on a G5 (PowerPC CPU) to a MacBook Pro (Intel CPU). There is a pretty good chance that if you copied over your files, or even if you installed from the original media, the software might not run and might not even install on a MacBook Pro because it uses an Intel CPU. If the version on your G5 does not support Intel processors at all, you will have to upgrade the software.
This is much different than the situation with the current Macs and apps from the Mac App Store, where migration is very simple and could be done manually by dragging the single self-contained app file over with essentially zero risk. But you're working with an application built a half a decade ago.

what file do notes need to be on to go to the ipod 5g

Notes need to be saved in plain text format(.txt), and then placed in the Notes folder on the iPod when disk use is enabled for it. Only the first ~4000 characters of any note will be recognized.

  • Do I need to create a new email address or apple id to create an iMessage or FaceTime account?

I have the latest iPod touch. When I try to create an account on FaceTime or iMessage I get a message saying that they can't verify my email address because it is already in use. What does that mean? Does it mean that I need to create a new email?Or apple id? Please help as quickly as possible as I don't want to have to create anything new. Many thanks

lllaass, thank you for your help, but I still don't fully understand: do I need to create a new apple id? Is it possible to create another id with the same email address? Can't I use the same email address for several accounts? Thanks again.

  • HT3384 In order to keep my files organized, I need to create separate "folders".  For some reason, I cannot find the instructions on how to create a folder in Pages.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

In order to keep each family members' documents organized, I need to create separate "folders".  I've seared the help section but to no avail.  I'm sure this is very easy for someone out there.  Any help is much appreciated.  Thank you.

You can't created a folder in Pages. Here's what Help says about new folders:
    To create a folder:
Click the desktop (the background area of your screen) if you want to keep the new folder on the desktop; otherwise, open the window where you want to keep the folder.
    Choose File > New Folder.
If the New Folder command is dimmed, you do not have permission to create a folder at the current location.
To give the folder a new name, click to select it and press Return. Then type a name for the folder and press Return again.

  • What FILE do I need again? (moving WEB SITE from one COMPUTER to another)

Can someone tell me what file I need?
I can't remember and what to do. It's my understanding that all you have to do is move the file to the same location on the new computer and it should open in the new location, correct?
You would think that iWeb would upload this to the web for easy access and ability to edit from any computer.
    Thanks.
PS. Does anyone think iWEB will mature to a level somewhat more experienced, ala dream weaver, at least some more in-depth tools? I would love to see Apple develop iWeb more as well as a flash type of program as only Apple could create a program that is very complicated (FLASH) and make it somewhat easy. There are others out there for the PC, but none for the mac. I also think if Apple released a deep yet easy to learn flash tool that they would make some deep in-roads to developers. For the PC users, check out SWISH, and at one time, Adobe had a pretty good program too, can't remember what it was called, but they stopped developing that years ago.

You need ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2, where ~ is the item in the Finder's sidebar with the house icon. It's a package, not a file.

  • What files do i need to download?

I'm trying to figure out what files I need to download. I eventually want to install everything I possibly can that's available from Oracle, but I'm trying to tacle just the Database + Forms + Reports right now since that's what my college professor says I need. She also mentioned that I need a client.
I don't know why ever I would need a client to go with a server... aren't servers just big happy standalong thingers? (just kidding)
Anyway, I'm doing this under Red Hat Linux 9. I don't want to mess with personal anything... I want the full blown software. So I download the "Oracle9i Database Release 2 Enterprise/Standard Edition for Linux/IA64, Release 2 (v9.2.0.2)"
Doesn't sound like I'm getting a client with that. So where do I download the client? I see a link there that specifically says it's a client, but it's only for windows. I have windows running under win4lin, but I really really HATE to use windows. I will avoid it at all costs. Is there a client I can get for Linux? I can't tell, but it would make sense to me that it would be in with the Designer download. I'm guessing that just because the Designer is... well... the Designer. And I figure you're going to need a client to design things...
Thanks for the help, if I get any.

First of all you have downloaded the wrong software. IA64 is 64 bit. If you're running on regular Intel hardware you'll need 32 bit Oracle software.
Also, if you install the database software you also can install the client software from the same set of files/cds. Install the database first, and then do a separate client installation. Select "programmer" and that will give you things like OCI and Pro*C.
I don't know anything about Designer, but it is a separate product and has to be installed in a separate ORACLE_HOME directory. I don't know if that is available for Linux.
Lastly there are a lot of problems with installing Oracle on RedHat 9. Oracle is only certifying now RedHatAS 2.1 and I think RHEL 3.0. Here is an excellent web site (you'll need it) that has workarounds and tips for all the problems you'll encounter installing Oracle on Red Hat:

  • What file do I need to associate with a .swf file?

I used to execute .swf on my computer in the past.  Now it does not work.  I tried to troubleshoot what file that was associated with and found Adobe Acrobat (that I have not changed since the last time I used it).  So I associated it with Flash Pro 6 and that did not work.  I associated it with the Adobe Media Player and that was not what I wanted.  I have installed the Flash Player (at least four times) from www.adobe.com.  I read the different forum questions and found to locate the C:/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash, so I did that and found all it located was the installation .exe file.  Of course that did not work.  The .swf file and its associated files are located in C:/Flash/bubbles folder and was published with the ./bubbles setting.
    I have:
    MS Windows7
    Flash Pro CS6
So how do I execute a .swf created from Flash Pro CS6 without having to open Flash Pro CS6, like a user would experience?

There is no such name as flashplayer_11_sa.exe when I searched on the computer.  The file that downloads does go to the "Download" folder, but it is the installer for the Flash player.  So after I double click on this file to let it update my computer with the newest and greatest version, I associate that file with the .SWF extension and it does not execute when I double click on the .SWF file.
So I give up.  Guess that is why you have Flash Pro to run others/my .SWF files.

  • What files do I need to transfer to move my iPhoto Library?

I have iPhoto content in Leopard, SnowLeopard and LION.  I want to transfer all of these files onto one external backup drive so that I can consolidate all of them into one library.  Where should I look and what files need to be transferred?
Is there an APP that will assist in consolidating all of these into one iPhoto library in Mavericks?

First rename each iPhoto library so they can be stored in the same directory on the EHD. Next make sure the EHD is formatted OS X Extended (journaled) with ownership set to be ignored:
With all of the libraries on the same HD and if you have the latest version of iPhoto AND  Aperutre you can merge the 3 libraries into one.
OR, you can use the paid version of  iPhoto Library Manager to merge them into a single library.  Note:  all libraries must be the same version for merging. So open them all with your latest version of iPhoto so they will be converted to the same version.

  • What file format is needed?

A group of friends has been collecting old high school video, and I'm supposed to edit the clips into a movie for a teacher's retirement. Most of the digital clips I'm sent are mpg4. What format do I need to convert them to to be able to drag them into iMovie and use them? I just switched back to Mac from years on the inferior platform, and I'm trying to figure out how to use iLife software

Chances are you can import the mp4 directly into iMovie with the FILE/IMPORT command.
If not, come back for more ideas.
If it does not work, try opening the file in QuickTime Player. Then click WINDOW/INSPECTOR and tell uf everything that you see next to the word FORMAT:

  • What file format is needed to import images files from Lightroom or CC directory?

I have tried accessing psd, tiff and jpeg files to import them into Adobe Shape.  All have received an error message saying that the file format isn't supported. What file format should I be using for my images in order to import them?
    Thank you!

If your not going to do any individual layer effects or animation then TIFF's would be generally easier and faster to work with. If you are gong to do some effects and layer animation you should do that in Motion then bring the Motion project into FCP.
My Opinion, My Two Cents, That's might be what its worth.

  • Finally making the switch what files do i need

So I am finally about to make the jump to a brand new MBP. my previous computer was P4 windows XP dell 512 Ram, yikes! so the main question i have is, what files from my windows box am i going to be able to bring over to my new mac. and what is the best way to go about transfering them, ethernet cable like it suggests on switching 101? other than that i am solid on how to use mac

The only files you can use on the Mac would be the documents. Unless you install Boot Camp or a virtualizing solution (VMWare/Parallels), none of the executables (applications, programs, utilities) will run on MacOS X. However, MS Office for Mac 2008 can open MS Office for Windows documents with (mostly) no problems, same for Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
The process of creating an Apple ID will create an @iCloud address for your wife, she does not need to use this for email if she doesn't want to.
