WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OLD LIST OF BOOKMARKS?

BEFORE I TRASH FOXFIRE AND GO TO GOOGLE CHROME...LET ME ASK THIS DUMB QUESTION:
Where are the saved bookmarks on the bookmark bar....?
It used to be able to click on it and I saw ALL bookmarks then picked which one I want to go to...???
NOT NOT MOST VISITED SITES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!who cares?
JUST A PLAIN OLD LIST OF MY BOOKMARK FOLDER...?????????????????
then I choose which one I go to???????????????
does that still exist or NOT?
Why is it so hard to find a list of MY bookmarks right on the page?

It is still there, either right-click on the back/forward buttons, or hold down the left mouse button until the list appears.

  • What happened to the old JamPack 1?

Before the SteveNote, the four JamPacks Apple sold were:
    Jam Pack 1
    Jam Pack 2: Remix Tools
    Jam Pack 3: Rhythm Section
    Jam Pack 4: Symphony Orchestra
Now, the four they sell are:
    Jam Pack 1: Remix Tools
    Jam Pack 2: Rhythm Section
    Jam Pack 3: Symphony Orchestra
    Jam Pack 4: World Music
So what happened to the original JamPack 1? Have all of those loops and instruments been rolled up into GarageBand 3's default install, or are all those loops and instruments just plain discontinued?

JamPack 1 is now included as a standard part of GB3.
Where did you get this information from? Another poster recently said this:

I think people are thinking it was included because its no longer listed as for sale at the Apple store.
However it appears you are right. I did a clean install of Garageband 3 while my Jam Pack 1 folder was moved elsewhere and renamed, and the Garageband installer did not put any of those loops on my hard drive.
For those wanting to check, the first loop listed in the Jam Pack 1 folder is "12 String Dream 01.aif" - so you can see if you have it anywhere.

  • What happens to the old phone at the time one gets (upgrades) to the 3G?

So, I understand that the old phone stops working when you upgrade to the 3G, as they will transfer your number to it's SIM.
I am wondering how instantaneous it is, and what actually happens, i.e. is displayed on the old phone.
I am thinking of upgrading my wife's phone while she is on a plane returning - the account is in my name - so I won't have the physical phone with me. When she turns the old one on does it display a sim error, or say 'deactivated', or 'emergency only', or...... ???
    Thanks!
    Dan

Nothing will happen to phone physically, it will just show "no service" in the upper left of phone. She won't be able to make calls, as they activate the phone at time of purchase. Otherwise, it will work normally.

  • What happened to the history selection in Bookmarks?

Updated OS yesterday and history no longer exists.  Bookmarks bar is the first listing,

If you touch the Bookmarks icon and then touch the "Clock" icon at the bottom you will see history.
If you are saying that all your Bookmarks are gone then:
Try terminating the Safari App and restarting it.
    To terminate Safari:
    1. Click the Home button
    2. Double-click the Home button to bring up the "recent Apps" tray at the bottom.
    3. Touch and hold on the Safari icon until a "-" appears
    4. Touch the "-" on the Safari App to terminate

  • HT201269 What happens when the old device's Restore From Backup doesn't appear as a choice for the new (iPad) device?

My wife dropped her iPad and fried the screen. It was still functional, so I backed it up with iTunes. The backup was successful for all apps, photos, etc.  I just swapped that iPad at the Apple Store for a refurbished model and attempted to Restore From Backup.  iTunes now doesn't see that old iPad so I can't restore the old data on the new device. Any help appreciated.

Here's an interesting bit: iTunes will let me restore my iPod touch from backup: it's still running iOS 4.3.3. I figured as much... there's backups showing in the Preferences -> Devices list for both devices (and even my old, long gone iPod touch 2G), but my iPhone (on iOS5) isn't giving me any such option. I remember I had to downgrade before to get the backup restored (something went haywire in the setup assistant, and I couldn't restore a backup from iTunes there)... If it was possible to go to iOS 5.0 rather than 5.0.1 I would just do the same thing again, but iOS 5.0.1 isn't an option. I attached a screenshot. Hopefully Apple can get this nonsense sorted out; I think iOS 5 might be the root of this, somehow.

  • What happened to the old album-artist view in Music?

Is there a way to bring back the old album-artist view in Music?
In iOS 6, when you clicked on an artist, you would be presented with a list of albums that you could then click on to get the track list.
Now, in iOS 7, when you click on an artist you get a full track list of all albums in a single list.
Brutal! Is there a way to put it back to the way it was?
I wrote more about it in my blog post here:

Yes You are absolutly right. BUT
When they done that - the forum fills up with questions on WHY isn't it Hollywood Quality ?

figuring out why they doesn't look as on the Mac screen.

  • What happens to the old artwork when you add new or updated artwork

I have been in the process of updating the artwork in my iTunes library to provide the highest quality images available. I obtain this from a variety of sites including using the "Get Album Artwork" in iTunes, using the album artwork widget, using a search on Google Images and from anew site recently recommended that provides exceptionally quality album artwork.
When I obtain these from either Google Images or any third party site I typically drag a copy to my desktop and then I go to "Get Info" on the particular album title and either drop and drag the artwork into the box or int he cases where I have to crop some of the area or color adjust I copy in paste over the existing artwork.
My question and concern is what is happening to the original artwork I had stored in iTunes? When I copy and paste or drop and drag is the existing image being erased or as I fear am I accumulating a huge folder of obsolete artwork somewhere that is ever growing and taking up more and more of my disk space for storage? If this is the case how do I find these artwork files and delete them?
    Thank You
    Mke

    It is overwritten.

  • What happen to the link for organizing bookmarks in FF4?

After upgrading to FF4, I noticed the link to organize bookmarks is no longer there. Where do i go to organize my bookmarks e.g. add a new folder, move sites from one folder to another, etc.?
    Using XP sp3

You can look in the toolbar palette to see if you can find the Bookmarks Menu button (with the drop marker) and drag the icon on the Navigation Toolbar.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"

  • What happened to the old iMove HD? Bring it back, please

I suspect the reason it went bye bye was because it was cannibalizing FCP Express sales. But I really have no use for the new iMovie. A lot of useless effects and now this ridiculous Trailer feature. Forget the trailer, I wanna cut the **** movie! The old iMovie allowed you to do both. You could cut a movie with it, and you didn't have to learn FCP either. I can't cut anything in the new iMovie. Is there anyone else who's with me?

  • After my photo in photo stream exceeded 1000photos, what happen to the old photos? Is it automatically deleted from my photo stream? How do i get it back those photos?

can anyone help me on this matter?

Once they're deleted, you can't get them back.  You're supposed to save them before this happens.  To do this, save them to your camera roll (by tapping Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll), then import them to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
If the missing photo stream photos were in your camera roll when you last backed up, then would be included in the backup.  Restoring the backup should recover them.

  • WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HUGE LIST OF NEW ALBUM RELEASES?

on the last itunes version you could view long lists of recent new alum releases in itunes. Usually over 50 per week. It seems this has been reduced to 1 or 2 pages of pictures. I used to love those long lists to discover new music...can I still view those lists?? I hope so. Someone help.

Click on the music store link, then click on "new releases" at the top of the page.

  • What happened to the tabs list?

Seems to be just ... gone! Same mistake as Safari (ouch!) - please restore this !!!

There used to be a button at the right end of the Tabs bar, somewhere around the "+" button that opens a new tab. Clicking on it would drop down a list of all open tabs - very helpful when the number of tabs got large and the Tabs bar could not display all of them.
Unfortunately no screen shot is possible, because this button has disappeared. Was this a deliberate modification (if so: very ill-advised!), or is there something wrong with my install?
BTW: Internet Explorer still has an equivalent button, which appears near the left end of the Tabs bar when more than one tab is open.

  • What happened to the ArchWiki?

Hi All. What happened to the old style ArchWiki main page? Previously it was very easy to find crucial articles especially for the new users but also for me. Now the main content is hidden among other minor articles and quite difficult to find. Maybe I'll get used to it but at the moment i don't like this...

Hmm looks like the main page of the wiki has recently been updated.  I have to say I like the previous version more but I may be bias as I am used to has straight forward the old main page was.  Maybe this is an improvement over the old?
I guess you can truly only know if this is better or not by the number of questions asked on the forums which have a straight forward wiki solution.  With that said only time will show how useful this change will be.

  • What happened to the drop down list that said recent bookmarks?

On Firefox to the right side of the page, there is a little star, and when you move your mouse on it, it
will say, bookmark this page. Next to the star is a little icon, that says show your bookmarks.
So, when I use to click on that icon, it would say most recent bookmarks, along with bookmarks toolbar, and unsorted
bookmarks. I would like to know what happened to the icon that said, most recent bookmarks, or recently added bookmarks.
I would appreciate any help in this matter.
    Many thanks.
    Enjoy your day!

    See:
    * "Most Visited" and "Recently Bookmarked" and "Recent Tags" are examples of so called [[Smart Bookmarks folders|Smart Bookmarks folders]] and are not real existing folders.
    * Smart folders show a list created by a query of the places.sqlite database that stores bookmarks and history in Firefox.
    * Smart folder lists show a maximum of 10 entries by default.
    * Bookmarks and history items that show up in a smart folder list are stored elsewhere in another folder and any changes made are applied to the real bookmark or history item.
    * If you add a new bookmark or visit a website then a new item is added at the top and the entry at the bottom disappears from that list.
    * Items that disappear from the list are not gone, but merely do not show up anymore in that list.
    * Actions like copy & paste or delete that you perform on bookmarks in such a list are done on the original bookmark.

  • What happened to the to-do list in calendar?

what happened to the to-do list in calendar? in Mountain Lion?

Nice, dude.  Bringing up an 8-month-old thread.
Reminders are in their own app now called "Reminders" as you've apparently noticed.
