What is better communication between two existing systems or internal systems, DATABASE(FILE) or MESSAGES(JMS)?

Of course JMS. It provides more decoupling between senders and receivers.

Proxy will alwaays be better option in this case, as it is adapter less framework, and communication happens directly with XI central integration engine. So it is always fast communication and gives good performance.
But still you should consider other factors, you may consider using RFC as well, as sometime we go for RFC/IDOC as this are the standard interfaces already available rather than creating structure...
May be you can share more info on what type/volume data are you planning to send via XI?

Entourage is a Microsoft application and is probably Linked to MSN for Mac.
I have Office:Mac 2000 and this version of MSN does not Video.

It depends on wheter you need XA transaction or not.

If you only have one database and no synchronous dependency to the caller, non-XA should be OK.

What does it mean: Error Message "Low system resources" ?

Hi,
we are using CR out of Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 for a PDF export.
We are able to start a report process and can see on the load of the process that the report seems to be generated, but we didn't received a report PDF file.
We add the following Registry key (depending on CR version) to get log files:
For 10.5: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Report Application SErver\Server\
For 10.2: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Crystal Decisions\Report Application SErver\Server\
and got the following error message:
ErrorLog 2010 3 1 23:55:15.293 5576 7304 (..\reporthandler.cpp:11256): CReportHandler::buildReportViewerError: CSResultException thrown. ErrorSrc:"CRPE" FileName:"..\reporthandler.cpp" LineNum:11252 ErrorCode:568 ErrorMsg:"There are not enough free System Resources to perform this operation.
Error formatting Field Object.
Failed to export the report.
Error in File e:\ReportTemp\serviceusage {8F9A2AEB-96BB-400F-AB88-47E09C916B67}.rpt:

Maybe do you have any suggestions what the problem could be? What does it mean with "Low system ressources"? There should be enough memory, hard disc size and cpu power on the machine.

I think we want to back up a bit here. I am not sure what "Low System Resources" means or what it's about. So, let's try the following:
1) Are you able to export to any other format?
2) Are you able to print to printer?
3) Try a new simple app and add a viewer to the form. See if export from the viewer export button works.
4) In the above new app, export to CR report format from the export button on the viewer toolbar.
5) If you are able to get an exported rpt file, it will have saved data with it. Run that report in your original app (comment out any db logon code). Can you export a saved data report?
6) Make sure you have read / write permissions on the win\temp directory
7) What database are you connecting to and what is the database connection method (OLE DB, ODBC, etc.)

I have installed the Database 10g and Database Companion under the RedHat Linux ES3 successful.
But after start the Apache server using the command
opmnctl startall
there are very many log message
...(date time)... [4] Local connection 0,127.0.0.1,6100 missing form factor
are written to the log file opmn/logs/ons.log.
What means is the log message and how I correct the error?

IT 267 is the Additional Offcycle Payments. For Example Bonus/ Car Allowance / Re-imbursement etc. as you configure in your system. In Off cycle workbench (TCODE = PUOC_10), when you are executing the Payroll for "Additional Payment", we can also see IT0267.
For Log, select "Display Log" in the program RPCALCU0(US payroll). You can run payroll in the SIM mode and see the log.
For Offcycle, I think you need to look at the Payroll result table (TCODE = pc_payresult) and check the cluster table for the Pay Period.

When you see a forums posting about missing datafiles , errors in recovery, SQLs returning the wrong results because they haven't been correctly written and tested .... etc etc ... do you ever wonder "what if this database contains my data ?".
-- as when it seems that the database might be some government database or one at a bank or a financial institution or a utility company ...

Yes ... Everytime when I see such messages, I wonder "What if it is my database's problem?". And after taking it in the consideration, I begin to help and support the unlucky OP witih all my (little) knowledge :)
And everytime seeing such messages, I'm getting sure to have backups of my databases and each time to test new recovery scenario to make me feel more confortable and let me sleep at night more calmly :)

Hi all,I have a project with a high frequency of database accesses and connections. I use a pool connection and i want to know what is better, opening and closing each connection after every query or close the connection when user logs out or loses session?

Connection pooling is the right direction to go. Now about the when to open or close connection. In my opinion, as you are using connection pooling or even if you not, its better to open the connection when needed and close after you have looped through result set.
If you keep the connection as a data memmber in a class, you might need to check the connection status before executing the query.

Hi,
One of my ex-colleagues has installed a NI-DAQ 6.5 in our system. [And I do not see any other naitional instruments card in the CPU of the computer, may be he removed it] I deleted the account and all his files in the system. When I am trying to install version8.0, its not getting installed and giving me a message that I should uninstall the previous version by going to Add/Remove programs in the control panel.
I tried doing that, but the "Change/Remove" button does not seem to work...[There is no response and so unable to install the new version...]
Any idea how can this problem be solved?
It is a windowsXP operating system with SP2 installed on a machine with P4 processor.

What went wrong with Nokia Messaging?
In the beginning of this year I used Nokia Messaging on E71 and I really loved it!
Since this autumn I am using it on my new N97 and I am confronted with totally different experience:
- the application is very slooooow..
- its unreliable - very ofter emails arrive with hours delay, a sync may take up to minutes
- its very very buggy - truncated icons, diplay randomly jumping up and down, when scrolling.
- very bad HTML display of emails - tiny (unreadable) default font and no wrap to screen when zooming - I thought emails were for reading?
- many, many usability issues
I just cannot believe it - How has Nokia managed to convert once such a good piece of software into such incredible disaster?
Recently an update was published - I tried it immediately... To my big disappointment it contains all the same bugs and introduces new ones..
How is this possible? What is happening at Nokia?

Also my N86 as the same problem.
And in global setting Nokia deleted the option to read always in HTML.
And there is not any option to write html Mails

what`s wrong with this message “purchase of this item is not currently available”,I test my app with sandbox,it always told me this message from this morning,but it was all right last night.

This appears to have been resolved over the weekend. A sandbox status page would be useful. The sandbox does have frequent problems, resulting in quite a lot of lost development time.
