    Cost centers represent areas of responsibility where costs are incurred or where responsibility for costs may be assigned.  They represent the smallest unit of responsibility within the organizational structure of an enterprise.
    A cost center can be pictured as a ‘cost bucket’ such as a department, product line, production stage or geographical area. 
    An unlimited number of cost centers may be created.
    All cost centers within on controlling area have to be assigned to a cost center hierarchy (standard hierarchy).
    Costs originally posted to one cost center may be distributed and assessed to one or more other cost centers using allocations.
    How are costs assigned/posted to a cost center?
    External financial accounting documents created in FI, AM or MM that post to a G/L expense account can be configured to require a cost center assignment be entered at the time of transaction entry.  The system automatically creates a parallel CO document that posts to the indicated cost center.
    Cost elements master records can be configured to be posted to a certain cost center (automatic account assignment).
    In addition, other non-financial activity (i.e., direct labor hours) may be posted directly to cost centers from within CO or via other modules such as PP  or HR

  • Material cost charge to Production Order from Cost Center / Work Center.

    In Production Order Environment, is it possible that goods are issued from Storage location to Cost Center / Work Center, and in turn charged to Production Orders.
    Scenario. Transformer Manufacturing.
    Production Order size : 100 Units
    Steel (Kgs) per Transformer : 3 Kgs
    Total Steel required for Production Order: 300 Kgs (100x3)
    In the process of manufacturing of a Transformer Steel or Core winding is the first process step.
    Even though the Steel required for above said Production Order is 300 Kgs, the minimum issuable lot size from stores is 2000 Kgs.
    Is it possible in SAP ECC 6.0 that the Steel of 2000 Kgs is issued to a Cost Center / Work Center, and later charged to production order based on actual Consumption in the said Cost Center / Work Center.

    However, the scenario that i had in mind was a bit different from what you had conceptualized.
    Scenario - These transformers are basically for loading on to Inverters & UPS, The max weight of the transformer range from 15-30 Kgs. and they dont have an external casing of steel as seen on Indian Electricity Board transformers. Multiple production orders are processed at a single time in the Plant as per Customer specifications.
    The general process followed for manufacture is as follows:
    1. Core Winding u2013 This process takes place in the core winding department. Steel reels are loaded on to Winders and individual cores of approx 5 u2013 30 Cm Diameter are produced. (Multiple reels of Steel are stacked one on top of the other onto a pallet.) Usually issue of steel from stores happens pallet wise. The pallets of steel generally weigh in excess of 2 tons.
    In the present situation (Non SAP Environment) the entire pallet of Steel is issued to the Core winding department and later the Output is charged to multiple Production Orders, based on the records of the Core winding dept. Since in general the steel content in the FG ranges from 3- 25 Kgs multiple Production Orders can be catered to from one Pallet of Steel.
    2. Core Laithing. The wound cores are laithed so as to make the sides smooth.
    3. Core Annealing u2013 Heat treatment process.
    4. Core Insulation. u2013 Insulation of the annealed cores with insulating material.
    5. Primary Winding. u2013 Copper is wound as per the BOM Specification. The issue like that of Steel also arises in the Copper winding process. Here also the Cooper comes in Spools which far exceed the requirement for any Production Order. The minimum issueable lot for Copper from Stores is one Spool. The current practice followed is that the Cooper is taken in the name of the Copper winding department and later charged to individual Production Orders.
    6. Primary Soldering.
    7. Mid Insulation.
    8. Secondary Winding
    9. Secondary Soldering
    10. Shielding
    11. Final Insulation u2013 Same issue with insulation too, since the insulating material comes in rolls.
    12. Testing.
    13. Potting & Drilling - Process of pouring a chemical compound in the center of the transformer, which helps the transformer to later be loaded on an Inverter. The same issue with like of Steel, Copper & Insulation arises here too, since the chemical compound comes in big containers capable of meeting production requirement for a week.
    14. Packing
    15. Transfer to FG Inventory.
    One of the suggestions was to issue the entire 2000 Kgs to the Production Order and then return 1700 kgs after completion of the Production Order based on actual usage. However, in my opinion this option might not be practicable because, assuming that I get another / multiple Production orders in between the issue of 2000 Kgs and return of 1700 Kgs, issue to the new Production order will not be possible if the stock in stores was only 2000 Kgs initially. In case assuming that the material is available in stores for the next production order, the situation could worsen in case of receipt of multiple production orders.

  • What remote controls will work with the iMac 27inch.

    Okay I hung the new iMac on the wall in my kitchen. Used the apple adapter I have a little apple remote control that works the dvd player fine. Of course the wireless keyboard and the wireless mouse work fine. I have an elgato tuner because this iMac is my dvr/tv does anyone have a remote that will work the iMac as a dvd and work the elgato hybrid tuner. Just trying to make this simple. Thanks

    iTunes itself, that is it's built-in remote speaker function, will work only with an Airport Express. There may be other wireless speakers that have their own drivers or transmitter; someone else here may be able to make a recommendation.

    Hi Bekele,
    First get the Workcentre Object ID in CRHD table for your work center. Then with the Object ID, get the cost centre assigned in that work center in table CRCO.
    I guess, you dont get both in a single table. Hope this help you !!

  • What settings control the excessive 'p' and 'f' sounds from USB mic?

    I'm recording a short intro to my Podcast and using a USB microphone. When playing it back, the 'puh' and 'fff' sounds when saying any word that has a 'p' or an 'f' in it are annoyingly exaggerated. I'm no sound engineer, so I don't know what settings I should be trying to change to make the recording sound normal.

    Is the waveform clipping at these p's? Then it will be hard to get rid of them completely, because there is distortion. But you can try:
    First of all, don't do it in GB, use an audio editor like Audacity or SoundStudio. (You could do it in GB, but audio editors are a lot more versatile). So export your GB track and open it in the audio editor. Find one of the p's (they're easy to see) and zoom in on it very closely. You'll see the wave that goes into the ceiling and is flattened at the top. Try to select just that p (between two zero points of the waveform). Bring down the volume of the selection so that it is about equal to the waves left and right of it.
    The second characteristic of the plosives is that they have very strong basses. So open up an equalizer, preferably a graphic one, and bring the lower frequencies down (again, only on that little selection).
    If you're lucky, your plop will hardly be audible after this operation.

  • Link between HR data and Work center

    Dear experts,
    We have assigned operators in work center through HRMS. For the purpose of making a report we require the table into which the linking of work center data and the employee is made.
    In the table CRHD a field HROID is found.  This is an object id which links the work center with a table either in HR or in PP which provides the link between organisational unit/ employee. Can anybody tell us the name of the table with details?

    Thanks for your prompt response.
    Our requirement is as follows:
    We need to create a report on details of operations done by each operators / workers for a specified period. For this purpose following assignments are done.
    (HR module is not implemented yet.  But we have made attempt to maintain the employee master by customising HR module little bit)
    1.  Employee master created in HR. 
    2.  Went to work center maintainence (CR02).
    3. Selected HRMS button.
    4. Selected Work Center option.
    5. Clicked on HR work center
    6. Given same work center as production work center.
    7. Selected 'person' from ALV list data
    8. Clicked on create relationship button.
    9. Assigned the appropreate persons.
    By doing assume this we made assignment of persons to this work center since the name of persons are getting displayed.
    We have a report to list out the workcenter wise operation confirmations for analying the daily production.
    Now we want to incorporate the operators (persons) name into our report by whom the operation/production was performed.
    For this purpose, while refering the table CRHD, found a field HROID (an object id).  To fetch the details of persons / operators those we assigned to the work center we need the tables for linking this field HROID.
    Our questions are
    1.  Whether the process of assigning   operators above mentioned are correct?
    2. What are the table-links for completing our report. i.e. only for work center to concerned operators (HR).
    3. What does the HR Work Center mean?
    4. What are the difference between HR work center and production work center?

  • Control Center worked once after downloading iOS 7, now it's not working at all.

    I downloaded iOS 7 to my iPhone 5. The Control Center worked once and then stopped. I can't access it from the lock screen or apps, even though both are enabled in Settings. When I double-click the home button when the phone is locked, nothing happens, and in the lock screen, I can see the bar at the bottom to show where to swipe up, but there's no response when I swipe. I didn't change any settings that I know of, and can't figure out how to fix this problem. I really like the Control Center and want to use it!

    My iPad 2 front camera stopped working soon after updating to OS7; coincidence or not I don't know, but once again, since so many others have this problem, I think Apple should take ownership of this issue and come up withy a real fix. I'm tired of hearing 'reboot' as a cure all. Same goes for non-functioning SIM problem still not addressed by Apple.

    Operations are carried out at a work center. In the R/3 System work centers are business objects
    that can represent the following real work centers,
    Whereas Cost Center is a cost object . The cost of work centers are absorbed in work centers. The relationship is maintained in table CRCO.
    If you requirement is to have a report where you will show a report like
    CO Document            Cost Center            Work Center
    then i think we donot have any standard SAP report available and a custom report will be required for the same.We need to get the Cost center from the CO document and then get the work center from the cost center .. If you have a situation where you have a Cost Center linked to multiple Work Centers.... then some validation for deriving correct WC will be required..
    Please let me know for any further clarifications..

    Work center can be assigned to either an organizational unit or a work center in the Human Resource Management System (HRMS).
    Work centers belong to the most important master data in the R/3 production planning and control system.
    In SAP PS workcenters used for workforce / resource / capacity planning /scheduling a work - based on the workcenter - for an particular Activity(Internal) by maintaining the proper workcenter.
    Based on the work performed actual costs known with the help of Cost center maintained in the workcenter.
    Using CNR1 - can create the workcenter or using CNR2 can be duplicated to your requirement.

  • Regarding Size of the iview in the work center

    I created a work center in EP 6.0 having 5 iviews as views in the work center. When i click the view name in the left side of the work center, it is showing the view in the content Area in the right side.
    But the area is limited. It is showing tray size scrollable iview.
    Even I changed the properties of iview.
    Fixed Height
    Type of Page
    Max height
    Min Height
    It is showing "Not equal to " Icon with a message"
    Property Object is defined locally but not inherited in the source object". Moreover the properties is not reflecting in the work center

    Hi Sreekar,
    Have you put the iViews onto pages first and then added the pages to the workset?  That the way that I go about it.
    Try this... Change the Height Type to Automatic.
    Also, what kind of iViews are on the page?  Are they for ESS or MSS or just custom written?  Do they interact with a Team Viewer?  The Isolation Method of the iViews has to be the same if they are all on the same page.  Isolation Method is important if you are interacting with a Team Viewer.  They must all be set to URL.  The default when creating an iView from a custom par file is Embedded.
    The Not Equals To icon in the iView properties just means that it is not the original setting and has been changed by some user.
    So, short of the long, place your iView on a page and the page into the workset.
    Does this help or maybe you can tell me what you mean by Work Center.
