What is cost of a particular item?

I can see the cost of the particular item in the 'Item Cost History' form of Oracle Apps for a specified date.
If i wanted to see the same in back end table, what table should i refer?
MTL_CST_ACTUAL_COST_DETAILS, MTL_CST_TXN_COST_DETAILS & CST_LAYER_COST_DETAILS.
What is the relationship among these tables? Are there any relationship to these tables from other tables??
Edited by: Arun Prasath on Jan 21, 2013 8:21 PM

Me itself found the answer. Here i'm giving the query for others to use..
SELECT COST_ELEMENT_ID,SUM(MACD.ACTUAL_COST)
     FROM MTL_CST_ACTUAL_COST_DETAILS MACD
     WHERE COST_ELEMENT_ID IN (1,2,3,4)
     AND MACD.ORGANIZATION_ID= 'Organization_id'
     AND MACD.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID= 'Item ID'
     AND TRANSACTION_ID= (SELECT MAX(MACD2.TRANSACTION_ID)
                              FROM APPS.MTL_CST_ACTUAL_COST_DETAILS MACD2
                              WHERE MACD2.INVENTORY_ITEM_ID= 'Item ID'
AND TRUNC(MACD2.TRANSACTION_COSTED_DATE) <= 'The desired date'
                              AND MACD2.ORGANIZATION_ID= 'Organization_id')
GROUP BY COST_ELEMENT_ID
This query will give the various costs like Material cost, Resource cost, Overhead cost, Outside processing cost and Material Overhead cost of a particular item.
Thank you.. :)

  • Specific Identification Cost for batch managed items (Follow-Up from P2P)

Specific Identification Cost method is used for serial and batch managed item. Using this method, the outbound cost of such items would be the original cost of specific goods, which can be determined according to the serial or batch number of that item.
Business One allows the user to receive batch managed items with a batch number that already exists in the DB. It’s possible that the received quantity is added to on-hand quantity in the warehouse. In such case, the quantity on-hand of that batch and the received quantity may have different costs.
What should be the system behavior in such case:
    1. Block receipts to the same batch with different costs.
    2. Write the difference to a price difference account, as done in Standard Cost method.
    3. Manage the batch cost with Moving Average method.
This thread is continuation from 'Specific Identification Cost for batch managed Items' <a href="http://p2p.sap.com/businessoneforum?type=join&login=1&uid=41FB661A76CED536C825C4E2B6FF4397&cid=91&go=z37225">discussion</a> in P2P SAP Business One Forum (Product Development Collaboration).
Previous discussion on P2P is summarized in the attached file.

    Hi Peter,
This is a very important functionality that you are describing here. For example, in the Steel industry, it could be extremely useful to cost by batch or serial number.
If you receive a batch that already exists in the system and if the costing method for the product is moving average, then teh cost of the batch should be calculated based on the moving average as well.
If the costing method is standard, then the cost should go in a variance account.
If the costing method is FIFO, then it is a getting trickier...

    Hi,
In the pre-block trigger, how to navigate back to a particular item of the preivous block? I've tried go_item('block1.item2'), but it only goes to :system.cursor_item. What if the system cursor item is not item2, how can go back to item2?

    Have you try this,

  • SAP Table to get Cost Center Acct Line Items based on Cost Element

    Hello there,
My question is pretty straight forward.
Is there a way to get cost center document line items efficiently by just using the Cost Element(most specifically), Period, Posting Date, and Fiscal Year (Cost Center would help too)? I ask this because other tables I am asking are quite slow. So basically im trying to look for the the BSIS/BSAS equivalent for cost center accounting.
Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you and good day.

You need to create event receiver on (i.e. ItemAdded and ItemUpdated)that list to start WF via code when condition is satisfied. I had similar requirement in past and this is what i did.

    Hi Friends,
Can somebody help me figure out, the changing of ownership of a particular item instance in Install base terminates the relevant line in an active Service Contract. The status in Install base for the item still remains active for that particular contract. Also is it a standard functionality that the a new contract be created with the new owner automatically or does this needs to be driven through a custom API.
Thanks in advance for the help,

    Hi Martin.........
You can use OINM table. Here you get the date wise details of item cost and Instock...
Else you can use inventory Valuation table too upto To Date.
    Its in Inventory Reports.......
Hope this table will help you.....

  • Transportation costing : costing on header level, item/stage conditions

    Hello,
I am hoping that someone can help me with an issue in shipment transportation costing. At present, we would like to cost a number of conditions on the stage level, but have the cost show on the shipment header. The problem I have is that I do not know how to “transfer” the cost from the item level to the shipment level. The problem I have are
1 – The forwarding agent is charging us based on the most expensive tariff zone that we visit. For example, we have a shipment that visit the following tariff zone in the following order (stages)
    Delivery 1 Zone 1 – 30 euros
    Delivery 2 Zone 2 – 50 euros
    Delivery 3 Zone 3 -  100 euros
    Delivery 4 Zone 2 – 50 euros
    Delivery 5 Zone 1 – 30 euros
The forwarding agent would charge us 100 euros for the journey. The problem is that on the shipment header level, the system is taking the last visited tariff zone as the journey cost, and not the most expensive. While I could cost it per stage, the calculation is incorrect, as it is 30 + 50 + 100 + 50 + 30 = 260 euros. Is there a way to cost each stage (shipment item) but only transfer the most expensive cost on to the shipment header level and make it valid for costing?
2 – Some deliveries will require a “special” truck, and we are charged extra for this by the forwarding agent. The indicator to use this is captured on a delivery. However, I would like to cost this on the shipment header level, and not on the shipment item level. This is to ensure that it is costed only once per shipment. For example, if we have the following deliveries in a shipment and we are charged an extra 50 euros for the use of a truck with the special equipment, the cost would be
    Delivery 1 < - Special equipment
    Delivery 2 <- Normal
    Delivery 3 < - Special equipment
    Delivery 4 <- Normal
    Delivery 5 <- Normal
“Normal rate + 50 euros”, and NOT “Normal rate + 50 euro + 50 euros”. The problem is that if I cost this on shipment stage / item level, the cost appears twice. Is there anyway to capture the cost in stage level, pass it on to the header only once?
    Any ides?

    Dear Abdul,
1.What is the basis of tariff is it 100 EUR per which unit of measure. Pls clarify.
2You can cost it at shipment cost item level also at the cal base in condition type. I presume there is one shipment cost item leg for all these deliveries.

  • How to identify Sale Order costing is required for Items in Sales Order

Howstandard cos estimate*w to identify Sale Order costing is required for Items in Sales Order?
On which criteria we can conclude Sale Order Costing is reqd ?
? * means what and wat is the purpose and how to chk for the Item in Sales Order, either it is required or not**.

    Hi Dharamveer,
The best way is to make the order qty is equal to the quantity delivered. This way, when some one looks at this order in future - they think that the order was for X and the delivery was for X qty is completed. They will not know the background of the issue unless they go through change log. Even in change log, they see that the Ord qty was adjusted, but may not understand why?
The good practice is to make order qty equal to already delivered qty.
Create a new line for the remaining qty and reject the same with appropriate reason for rejection. This way, any one can understand the background , the reason for rejection easily. Hope it helps !

  • Freigh as an Additional cost or as another Item

    Hello Experts
Could someone please  let me know what are the advantages/disadvantages of having Freight as an Additional Cost in a PO or include them as another Item code?
    Many thanks

    Hi Pam,
Freight can sometimes be added to the cost price of the items in the document. This is not possible in case you add it as an item.
Apart from that it is really up to you to see what the needs of the company is.

  • Hide Particular Item Group from Selection Criteria of Sales Analysis Report

    Hello Experts,
Is this possible to Hide Particular Item Group from Selection Criteria of Sales Analysis Report?
I have one Item Group as 'Special Items'.
Now, when I open  Item wise sales analysis report, I want to hide above mentioned group from selection criteria.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Pankit Sheth

    Hi,
    1. Not possible to put validation for selection criteria windows.
    2. In standard, I don't think it is possible to hide only one item group.
    3. Alternatively don't give authorization to user for running sales reports. If still need create customized query and ask user run every month.

  • Sales order costing - tracking of actual costs at sales order item level

    Hi
We are going with sales order costing for services
Service material is non-valuated hence the scenario is non-valuated sales order stock
    PP module is not implemented.
    I am having following questions
    1. How to track the actual costs at sales order item level? Is Internal order/CO production order is required to be created for the same?
    2. Can I do activity confirmations directly from cost center to sales order item.
    3. Can Raw material is issued directly against sales order item.
    4. Is Sales order is a real or statistical account assignment object?

  • Service Order Planned Costs and Cost Center Planned Line Items

    Experts,
I am curious of Service Order Planned costs, and whether or not these planned costs are being posted to the Cost Center linked to the Service Order Operation's work center.
I am a but puzzled as I don't see any planned costs from any Service Order Operation in a cost center linked to the Operations work center, when reviewing "Cost Centers: Plan Line Items" report.
    BR,
    Cenk

The planned costs were input in one of the Service Order operations as planned hours. There is a column for it in the operations list. The amount of hours have incurred a planned cost on the Service Order header.
I simply assumed that this cost would be credited to the Cost Center linked to the operation's Work Center. But that is obviously not the case. I am not familiar with the PLICC field and the functionality it provides.
    Thanks!
