What is Free/enjoy posting

Hi Friends,
what is Free posting/ Enjoy posting.
Regards,
Ramakrishna reddy

Hello
Enjoy posting is a feature to multiple documents / invoices.
When we create the first document, we enter posting date / currency / company code.
Later we enter amount and amount information / and save it, this would create a document number.
Now upon saving, the system will default all data for the next invoice entry and you have to just enter amount and account number.
This way, it assists the user to avoid entering routine data for multiple invoices.

What happens if I post a fillable form on a website that is used by more than 500 people (any version of Adobe Acrobat) how can I accomplish this legally.

LiveCycle Designer does not figure into this at all. The other enabling software that can allow for unrestricted use is called LiveCycle Reader Extensions. There is a version of this software available through Datalogics (www.datalogics.com) as well that may be more convenient to use.
People often bring up the scenario of making a small change and creating a new form. I don't think this would be valid and use the following as a guideline: If the form is collecting the same data for the same purpose, it's the same form
I got this years ago from some materials for LiveCycle Reader Extensions and it seems reasonable.
Note that Reader 11 can do a lot without the form needing to be enabled, such as saving a filled in form and using template features, but not digital signatures. So if you can get your users to update to Reader 11, you won't need to bother with these restrictions.

Using An iMac G4 (Flat Screen)

If you open up the machine and look, I suspect you will see that the slot is NOT empty.  It is failing the power on self test, so the machine is not using it.
You can try opening the cover and then removing and reseating the memory. This might work, but probably not.

What is Free Characteristics,Filter Area and 1ROWCOUNT keyfigure?

What is Free Characteristics,Filter Area and 1ROWCOUNT keyfigure?
    Hi M.V,
Free chars are those chars that you can use to drill down your query as per your requirement at run time, i.e. once you have executed the query you can make your filter or drill down options more flexible by using the free chars.
Filter Area : Filter area is that area where you can specify the Variable's required for input, you can also restrict some charcteristic values directly as well.
For e.g -> for ur query requirement is to take date as input from user, so u will create a variable based on the calday info-object and place it in filter area.
    Directly restricting  characte.
Restricting country to 'India', now u will get the data onnly where the country is india.
Any restriction that u specify in filter area will globally effect your query. i.e. u will see only that data ouput which meets the specified restrictions
1ROWCOUNT : you get field 1rowcount when u create any DSO. By default system adds this field that contains value 1 for each row.
    Thanks

    CUA
    ====
CUA behaves differently during a system/client copy and this is the approach we took and it was successful.  The goal is to take a backup of the source before CUA deletion then restore. Do not delete CUA and just attempt to rebuild it, all the roles will be gone.  Backup and restore will be the approach I recommend.
a1.  Take a snap shot of your QA user and role assignments before copy.
    1.  (Basis) First make a backup of the source system.  This is important before step 2.
    2.  After successful backup delete the CUA from the source system.
    3.  After successful copy to target system, restore backup to source system.
    4.  Depending how the copy was done, users and passwords should be in the target system but all the role assignments will be gone.
    5.  Start assigning roles base on your requirements.  If you need to restore the old QA settings that is captured in a1.
Perhaps others can add in other steps I might have missed.
    Good Luck!

  • WOW--what happened to my post :) about dropping calls

I posted about my Verizon iPhone dropping calls earlier and "somehow"
It got deleted. What's up with that??

Dropped calls are such a frequent occurrence with all cell phone carriers, having a steady connection at all should be considered a miracle, and enjoyed while it lasts. Part of it has to do with an oddity of cell phone technology which can't be avoided. A cell phone picks up a signal from a tower that radiates from the tower in a cone like shape. The immediate vicinity of that tower, you may be below that cone. You'd better hope there is another tower in the right range when you are in that vicinity to cover the area below that cone from a further distance. When you are passing between towers, signals can and frequently do get dropped. Suffice it to say, the issue is with the location, not the equipment used to place the call. Consider whom in the call is moving, and track it down to that location, and ask the carrier to look into having better coverage there.

  • How revaluation works? What entries will be posted?

    Hi experts,
How revaluation(G/L) works in SAP Business One? E.g.
    System Currency:SGD
Invoice dated on 1st of December 2009, USD 100.00 with rate of 1.40 = SGD 140.00
Company needs to revalue the outstanding invoice at 31st of December 2009 year end rate 1.5. Can SAP Business One takes in unrealized gain or loss, what is the standard procedure to perform this year end revaluation?
Upon payment on 1st of February, the rate is 1.60. So, what would happen to next those unrealized entries that might be posted in SAP?
    Please advice.
    Thank you.

    Hi Tou,
Normally you would use the Exchange Rate Difference functionality under Finance.
This will revaluate any oustanding transaction for the BP and post the difference. You can do this on the report date. You have the option for an automatic reversal of this posting as it only fills a purpose on the reporting date. When the Invoice is paid the exchange rate will be posted automatically if you are using a version that is 2007 or higher.
Again, as the exchange rate will be posted when the payment is done the transaction you posted on the reporting date should be reversed, this can be done with the automatic option, else the system will take this posting into consideratuion next time you run the exchange rate function so that the total balance in LC is correct.
I hope it is somewhat clear.

  • What is procedure to post payment without reference

    Hi,
I need to be able to post a negative payment in SAP without any reference to the original payment. I was wondering what the best procedure is for this?
    Thanks.

    Dear:
Negative postings are most often regarded as outgoing posting in SAP. You can make and outgoing posting without invoice reference in F-53. For more information please refer to the link given

  • What authorization required to post idoc from XI via RFC?

    Hi all,
I need to post idoc to SAP R/3 system from XI. I have done all the steps correctly. While creating RFC in XI system to connect to the R/3 system, intially I gave my R/3 username and password and tested teh connection. Everything was working fine but when I actually ran the scenario, IDOC was not getting posted in the R/3. But there was no error anywhere.
fianlly after debugging I fould it might be the issue of authorization the the R/3 user i used in the RFC. I then assigned SAP_ALL authorization to my user and posted the iodc again and it started working fine.
Can anyone please tell me what are th exact authorizations/role i need to assign to the r/3 used to use it in RFC and successfully posting the idoc? I dont want to use SAP_ALL authorization in my production environemnt.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Yash

    Hi,
Even i had faced this problem. Whenever I tried to send IDOCs, i used to get an error in SM58, " No authorization to send IDOC of type DEBMDM".
When i got SAP_ALL it worked. However I raised a note with SAP asking for an alternative and this is the reply gave me.
You can get good information on this topic in your online help files.
The following is taken from the document "General Security Measures
    (ALE)":
Use the transaction SALE to maintain the ALE configuration, to include setting up the distribution model and setting up ALE user authorizations and profiles. Note the following:
    - Be restrictive when assigning the ALE authorizations.
The authorization profile B_ALE_ALL contains the following
authorization objects that are needed for ALE:
    Authorizations for ALE
    Authorization Description
B_ALE_CGRP ALE Customizing Distribution: Group Activities
    B_ALE_LSYS ALE/EDI: Maintaining logical systems
    B_ALE_MAST ALE/EDI: Distributing master data
B_ALE_MODL ALE/EDI: Maintaining customer distribution model
B_ALE_RECV ALE/EDI: Receiving IDocs via RFC
B_ALE_REDU ALE/EDI: Generating messages (ex. reduction)
    S_PROGRAM ABAP: Program run checks
S_TABU_DIS Table Maintenance (using standard tools such as SM30)
    Protect external users and passwords.
For example, for a non-SAP system to send IDocs to a SAP System using transactional RFC, it must also send a SAP user ID and password.
In most cases, the user and password are stored outside of the SAP System. Make sure that this information is not accessible to external systems or programs. (How you can do this is dependent on the system that you have; therefore, you need to refer to the documentation for the system where the information is stored.)
However, I feel assigining the profile S_IDOC_ALL should also be enough. Just try and see.

    Merrilly

  • We have an older 28" imac Mac 0SX 10.6.8 2.55i5 4gb ddr3 - would it make sense to drop a new operating system in/on it?  If so, what?  Free or pay?  Thank you!

Can we should we upgrade our operating system from OSX 10.6.8; does it involve blanking the computer and installing a totally new system...or...does it override current system?  Which one?  Any free upgrades available or does one just buy whatever their hardware can handle?  Novice questioner looking for merciful advice!  iphoto is not working, you tube acts goofy when we go to it.  Just dumped most everything off the hard drive into a Seagate backup to see if that helps things get moving again...

The first step before even contemplating an OS X upgrade is to back up your existing system, which it sounds as though you accomplished. If in doubt read Mac Basics: Time Machine backs up your Mac - Apple Support.
Then, ensure all your essential software will be compatible with Yosemite. Any old, PowerPC-only programs will not work with any Mac operating system newer than what you have. You may need to upgrade existing software or purchase new versions. PowerPC Macs were discontinued a very long time ago.
Then, consider purchasing and installing additional memory. Go to Crucial and download the little app that examines your system and recommends RAM upgrade options. Their prices are good but don't have to buy memory from them - determine what you need and buy it from Crucial or OWC / MacSales. Installation is simple and OWC's website has instructional videos.
Finally, read https://www.apple.com/osx/how-to-upgrade/. It describes everything else. It's not necessary to erase or "blank" your existing system first, though some people find that advantageous since it obviates any concern regarding potentially incompatible software. That's the reason for Step 1 - it's the only practicable way to undo an OS X upgrade.

  • What's wrong with "Post-Change" anyway?

Post-change has been fading out since Forms 4.5 (maybe earlier). We are now supposed to use "WHEN-VALIDATE_ITEM" AND "POST-QUERY" to do the same job.
Our company uses Post-change a lot to complete description fields (example: "Unit Description" for the "UNIT_CODE" field on "SALE". When the user enters a new UNIT_CODE OR a UNIT_CODE is returned from a query, we use POST-CHANGE on UNIT_CODE to populate the (non-base table) UNIT_DESCRIPTION field). We have hundreds of occurrences like this in our application.
Now Oracle want to make us use two triggers when one is perfectly sufficient for the job but is now being phased out. This means we will need to either duplicate the code ("select unit_descr into :sale.unit_description from unit where unit_code = :sale.unit_code;") in two triggers or create a separate function and call it from both triggers. Neither of these options sounds good to us.
Can anyone explain why post-change is being phased out? Will it ever actually go? (It's still there in Forms 9i)
    Cheers,
    Tim.

    Tim,
From what I remember (it's been a while since I've done any Forms) the Post-Change trigger doesn't fire if the Item is set to NULL.
This is fine when getting data back from the server; non-database items are populated correctly, and NULL values don't trigger any form of action.
But, if during data input the user sets and item to NULL the Post-Change trigger does not fire, and so doesn't clear out you non-database item, or do whatever else you wanted.
If you have the opportunity I would recommend changing the code to use When-Validate-Item and Post-Query. As you say, you don't want to duplicate code, so you'll need some common functions.
An approach that I favour is to create one package per database block, with one procedure per item, into which you can pass an "Event Name". eg: for the EMP block...
    Post-Query:  begin
        emp_pkg.latest_hire_date('POST-QUERY');
      end;When-Validate-Item:  begin
        emp_pkg.latest_hire_date('WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM');
      end;emp_pkg Package:  package body emp_pkg
      is
        procedure latest_hire_date
          ( p_event in varchar2 )
        is
        begin
          if (p_event = 'POST-QUERY')
          then
elsif (p_event = 'WHEN-VALIDA[i][pre]Long postings are being truncated to ~1 kB at this time.

  • What format/codec to post web videos?

At work they want to post videos we produce on our web site. They will range from a minute to an hour or more. We have heard pitches from companies that do all the work for us, all we have to do is upload the files and provide an interface on our web site. Viewers will not have to install player software, it will just "work" like YouTube.
But of course, the suits decided that was a bad idea, and we will be compressing the files ourselves and hosting it on some server space that comes in at the lowest bid. Our potential viewers will probably not be web savvy, and may be reluctant to download new player software or plugins. Few of our employees even know what the word codec means, and have begun happily compressing files using random settings, and not concerned about quality. (They are also not concerned that they are shooting stuff on HD cameras in 16:9 and using it in 4:3 projects, and people look really skinny).
My question is, what file format/codec to use? We are mostly editing on Final Cut Express or Final Cut Studio (with Compressor). Perhaps we should do it "Wild West" style, and let everybody compress their programs their own way, maybe different every time they do something? That way, the home computer user is bound to find at least one video that will play on their computer.
    Sigh!

FCE and FCpro are both editors, no converter tools.. allthough they allow to use the QT-engine to create a few codecs..
I would consider flv as a 'standard', by sheer market power of youtube.
but that is no codec in FCE's options .
my workflow, in 10.6. would be:
in FCE: Export QT movie (not QT compression!)
    open that file with QT_X
    choose upload to YT
use 'embbed'-code offered by YT on my site..
.. perhaps, that is too simple..
with FCE you have NO option, to generate a 'web video'; any export needs Quicktime on end-user's side.. FCE doesn't offer flash-video as option.. you need 3rd party apps for that, plus some skills to integrate into a webside, resp. set-up some 'video server' ..
Compressor allows flv as export. still, integration into 'web' unanswered ..
1h webvideo? phpheewww ... that asks for 'streaming video' ..
