What is my Image source file

Hello,
I wrote a piece if Java programm that looks like:
bgFile="MyImageSourceFile.gif";
Image bgImage = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(bgFile);
final ImageIcon bgIcon = new ImageIcon(bgImage);
bgLabel = new JLabel(bgIcon);
MyLayerdPane.add(bgLabel, new Integer(0)); //low layer
jTabbedPane1.add(MyLayerdPane,1);
Later on I want to get the filename of that image back again.
I tried:
javax.swing.JLayeredPane LayPn = (javax.swing.JLayeredPane) jTabbedPane1.getComponentAt(1);
Component[] Cmp = (Component[]) LayPn.getComponentsInLayer(0);
JLabel Lbl = (JLabel) Cmp[0];
ImageIcon ImgIcn =(ImageIcon) Lbl.getIcon();
Image ThisImage = ImgIcn.getImage();
I can see with the dubbugger that the source of the image is indeed "MyImageSourceFile.gif", but how can I print this name to a file, like THE_SOURCE="MyImageSourceFile.gif"?

Simply write Lbl.getIcon().toString() in your file...

    Hello,
    You can use a Formula Column and the property "Read From File" :

  • Log and Transfer - what happens to the source files?

    I'm an experienced FCE4 user, but am using Log and Transfer for the first time with my new Canon Vixia HF M30 camera. Icons for the converted files are showing up in the Browser in FCE4, but where are the underlying converted flies? I didn't copy them from the camcorder to my hard drive when I started the process.

    Log and Transfer behaves the same way as Capture. The files are transferred to the Capture Scratch folder on your scratch disk.

  • Locating source file NAME from the executable file?

    Hi all,
    I wrote a vi a couple of year ago (call it file.vi), and created an executable out of it using the Application Builder (call it newfile.exe). I know I renamed the file
    when I created the executable and now I cannot remember what I called the source file (I have hundreds in my PC, and cannot go through them one by one).
    Is there anyway I can get the name of the original file from the executable? Notice that I am not asking to recreate the source file from the executable, which I understand is not possible.

    I must come clean and admit that I don't really know what source control is. Is it a back up of source codes in one place like a server? I am not a programmer but use some LabVIEW to
    automate a few simple tasks (mostly related to test data). I work solo in this area and there's not a group of people working on different pieces of the same project.
    I can Google and learn what source control is. I am assuming that the concept itself is not specific to LabVIEW, unless LabVIEW has build-in funtionality for source control
    It is more like a database of files.  It keeps versions on each file so that you can revert back to a previous version if needed.  If working in a team environment, it helps to merge code and keep everybody up to date with everybody else.  But the versioning is the most important part.  I then recommend keeping the repository on a server that is regularly backed up.
    For a simple SCC software, take a look at Tortoise SVN.

  • CRM b2b Source files

    Hello e-commerce users,
    We are in the process of creating a new web shops based on b2b cenario.
    We are creating the web shop based on the guide "sap ecommerce 7.0 Development and Extension Guide", i alredy manage to have a custom shop based on the standard on our developing system.
    But now we got a problem we want to modify some actions and create a new ones, for what i understand the source files of the shop should be in the crmhomeshrextsap on the src/package folder, but in our project this folder is empty. Did we miss any step?
    Another thing, i don't know if this is revelantm but when we were creating our custom shop and giving the name of the project, we coulnd't chose the "NAME" by the manual we should have select "HOME" but the name field has empty and we couldn't select anything.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Nuno

    Hi Nuno,
    To get the Standard JAVA files
    1. Go to development Configuration view.
    2.From CUSTCRMPRJ , create project of your custom context (home/context name).Right click on the DC and click Create project.
    3. Now the project will be available in J2EE DC Explorer View.
    4.Here ear file will be available , just import it to desktop.
    5. src.zip will have all the standard java classes.
    6. You can Make a custom copy of classes referring to these files.
    If this approach doesnt work , you can directly ask the basis team to provide with source file.
    Hope this helps

  • What is the best practice in securing deployed source files

    hi guys,
    Just yesterday, I developed a simple image cropper using ajax
    and flash. After compiling the package, I notice the
    package/installer delivers the same exact source files as in
    developed to the installed folder.
    This doesnt concern me much at first, but coming to think of
    it. This question keeps coming out of my head.
    "What is the best practice in securing deployed source
    files?"
    How do we secure application installed source files from
    being tampered. Especially, when it comes to tampering of the
    source files after it's been installed. E.g. modifying spraydata.js
    files for example can be done easily with an editor.

    Hi,
    You could compute a SHA or MD5 hash of your source files on
    first run and save these hashes to EncryptedLocalStore.
    On startup, recompute and verify. (This, of course, fails to
    address when the main app's swf / swc / html itself is
    decompiled)

  • How do I save Lightroom image edits in source file?

    My experience with the trial version of lightroom is very positive in terms of the convenient and powerful capabilities for editing images and the associated metadata.  But I can't find a way to save the "develop" edits to images into the source file for the photo I am working with.  So far, I am able to save the metadata into the file but not the image editing.  From what I read, I fear this is not possible without silly round about exporting to new files then copying / moving multiple copies around, etc. Without this ability, I am pretty sure I will not purchase lightroom and will miss out on all the powerful features.  Without an OPTION that turns on the equivalent of a SAVE button, managing my photos collection would be a nightmare.
    So my question is: How do I save the edited (i.e., developed) version of a photo back into the same file where the original photo was stored?
    Please, please spare me all the reponses telling me how stupid I am for wanting to do this and that the cognisenti and professionals would NEVER do this.    But please just tell me there is a secret place to turn on this option in lightroom.
    Thanks in advance.

    I had the same requirement to save in JPEGs files all non-metadata edits performed in Lightroom, in order to share modified pictures without duplicating files. By the way, I think it’s going to be more and more required by casual Lightroom users, as people get used to instant photo sharing in many situations where quantity matters more than quality
    Here’s a nearly automatic (at least, scalable) solution that works, although it slightly lowers the quality by re-compressing the original pictures.
    Once for all:
    Download and install the wonderful Lightroom plugin “jf Run Any Command”, provided as donationware by Jeffrey Friedl here: http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/run-any-command. This “export filter” plugin allows you to run a command of your choice with each exported file, as part of the export while it’s going on. (You may also browse Jeffrey’s blog to find many other useful and beautiful things.)
    In Lightroom, pre-define an export settings as follows:
    Export to the hard drive, to the original picture folder, without adding the exported file to the catalog
    Name the exported file “EXPORTED-{Filename}” (or anything different from the original file name)
    JPEG format, 76% quality (see An Analysis of Lightroom JPEG Export Quality Settings at http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/jpeg-quality)
    Keep all metadata
    Here’s the interesting part, the Run Any Command settings:
    Command to execute for each exported picture: copy "{FILE}" "{Path}\{LIBRARYFILENAME}" (this replaces the original file with a copy of the exported file)
    Command to execute upon export completion: del {FILES} (this deletes all exported files).
    NB: One could wonder why not directly export with the original file name and silently replace the original files (I believe Lightroom would allow this). It’s just a matter of error handling: in case the export goes wrong, no original file is changed at all.
    The easy part: each time you want to save edits:
    In Lightroom, select the pictures to save, and export them with the pre-defined settings. You're almost done. The JPEG files are ok, but inside Lightroom you see the modification effects doubled, as their specifications remain in the catalog database and they apply on modified JPEG instead of the original files.
    While the entire set of "saved" pictures is still selected, in the Develop module switch Autosync on and click Reinit to erase all modification specifications from the catalog for all pictures, then press CTRL-S to write down to disk any metadata updated by Lightroom -and accept if required to confirm that Lightroom values should replace externally set values.
    Stephane
    PS: Papa Ben, I'm curious about the decision you  finally made

  • Image processor: "No source files could be opened by Photoshop."

    I am also getting a "There were no source files that could be opened by Photoshop" warning when trying to save jpegs of open images (opened from a PDF) using the image processor.
    Here is what I'm doing:
    1. Open multiple pages of a PDF into Photoshop
    2. Run the Image Processor with settings:
    - Use open images
    - Save to "select folder location" (choose a valid location)
    - Save as jpegs
    3. Run
    And it gives me the warning. How can the files not be opened by Photoshop. They already are?!?

    JJ, thanks for the response, and my guess is you are correct. It would be nice if Adobe would change this. My whole intention of using the Image Processor in this case was to "batch save" all the open files. As far as I know, there isn't another way to do that without creating an action or other such nonsense. ; )
    At any rate, thanks for your input and explanation. At this point, I suppose the issue is as good as solved.

    AFAIK, this is not the correct way to set the image location.
    We call the working directory as context, so inside the context root along with WEB-INF, maintain a folder with name img and put all the images in that directory.
    You can use either .\<image_folder> or the optimum way would be (if you are using JSPs) to use getContext() method and traverse accordingly.
    FYI,,, using getContext() will give you context root directory, from there it is as simple as accessing any other folder.
    Hope this answers your question.
    Cheers,

    If you don't need them at all, you can delete them. People usually store them in external drives if they need them.
    have thought of, only export those clip you have used in your timeline, uncompressed?
    Didn't really get this part. Do you mind explaining this?

  • [SOLVED]What to do when AUR provides source files, but no 'configure'?

    Not sure if this is better posted here in "Newbie Corner" or in the "AUR" forum.... but I suppose it's a newbie-type question.
    There's a package I've installed from AUR on another Arch system and the install process went smoothly then.  New box; everything else is working fine and dandy, but need help with a package found in AUR.
    The package  installs source files -- no binaries available -- and there's no 'configure' file.  There's a 'configure.in' file that gets parsed by 'autoconf', but there are errors, and no 'configure' gets created.
    The PDF documentation from the author implies there's a 'configure' already prepared (the author writes the standard "Enter these commands:  ./configure && make install"), and located in the src directory.
    Is this an issue for the Arch package maintainer, or for the upstream author?  And might I be pointed to a suitable resource to continue my own investigation?
    Thanks!

    Oh, Cr*p.  This means I need to do it all over again and burn another CD.
    I have a tinfoil-hat wearing conspiracy-theory nut of a brother-in-law who wants a new system, compiled from sources, "without Government Interference".  He wants an "air-gap" (not networked) box to prevent NSA boogeymen from monkeying around with our Precious Bodily Fluids or some damned thing like that.  Why is it always a brother-in-law who goes off the deep end?  Why can't I have one who's a lawyer or doctor or something useful?
    You know, you may gently want to look into the idea that you're taking advice from a hat wearing bird. I'm not suggesting anything, but it is something that you may want to consider.

  • What the.. where the.. Can't reconnect media files??? Source file info gone

    This is bizarre. Many files went offline and now it won't tell me what is offline to reconnect.
    picture....
    http://www.redmoonlight.com/Picture3.png
    Out of this 90 minute video, there are two 5 minute sequences that went offline. (I'm color grading every 5 minutes of the whole project using Color.) At some point without realizing it, it went offline and now the auto save doesn't have the file old enough for me to recover. (In the auto save vault, I just changed my # of copies per project from 40 to 100!)
    My files are still on the drive (they were never moved!) but the source names are lost in Final Cut's sequence. A couple of files within the sequence with the offline file are still online. I don't know how 95% of the sequence went offline while the other 5% didn't.
    I'm able to look at my original sequence (before exporting to Color) to compare I'll have to import the file one by one and then sync it up. HUGE TIME CONSUMING!
    How did the media source name from my clips vanish? (I still love FCP.....)

    Thanks for the response.
    I haven't moved any media files. Even if I did, I could easily reconnect the files.
    The problem is the clips in the timeline and browser lost it's metadata on the name of it's source file. The clips has no idea what the original file's name was. In the picture, the list of offline files won't list. It has no idea what to look for.
    I'm reconnecting them one by one. Here are the steps I have to take to get back on track:
    1 - Go to last sequence (before send to Color seq.) and see what the clip looks like
    2 - Find the media on the drive and get it's original name
    3 - Go back to FCP and manually relink it.
    This has happened before but only to a couple of clips which was quick to fix with this same method. I'm wondering how the clips lost it's info?
