Hi Jothi,
All the content relevant to maintaining the portal is organized and Developed in Portal content Development. The Portal Content Object Model consist of content objects such as these:
u2022 iViews
u2022 Pages
u2022 Worksets
u2022 Roles
u2022 Layouts
One of the main components of the portal architecture is the Portal Content Directory in which all the content required to maintain the portal is stored and maintained. The Portal Content Directory is the central place to

What do you mean by Portal Content?
Content is much more than information; its everything the user sees and interacts with.
Content is brought together for specific users in portal content, where they can complete administrative tasks, business tasks, and personal tasks.
Portal content includes whats needed to complete role-specific tasks. These tasks may require:
The ability to work in enterprise applications .
Access to internal and external services
Access to relevant reports and analytics
Access to unstructured information
Content brings it all together -

Hi Christophe
If you want to move into SAP EP Development then TEPD10 and TEPD20 would be more suitable to you.
EP100,200.. will help you have a better grip on the configuration side of EP and KMC.
Visual composer is a very easy Drag and Drop tool - should not be a problem to learn - you can check the weblogs and docs on SDN to learn that.
Happy Learning.
Cheers. -

What is system admin- support - Support Desk - portal content directory .

Hello Jaya,
You can find information about what portal content directory is in the following SAP documentation:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/45/a8029ecf140039e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm
I hope this helps you.

How to decide the development platform for developing portal content?
Dear Experts
There are several platforms on which we can make
portal contents for SAP Portal.
1)Web Dynpro for Java
2)Web Dynpro for ABAP
3)PDK for .NET
I am trying to find out which of them would be most
efficient while developing system for the client.
It may be that for one who knows Java, Web dynpro for
Java would be efficient and so on.
However, when there is a situation where the developers
need to be trained before the project, which of these
platforms would be the most efficient.
Beside the evaluation based on language of development,
are there some other evaluation based on criteria like the
ease of development, deployment and debugging, cost for the
softwares and hardwares needed for the projects, contents
of the class library, templates provided and so on?
Does anybody have some supporting document that describes
on which circumstances which of these technologies would
be efficient while making systems for the client?
It would be of great help if you could share your insights.
many thanks,
Sudeephi sudeep.....
whatever technology, you work in , the output is going to be the same and he ecnd user cannot find out what technology you have used.... ABAP would be better because its growing up fast and many applications are being created using web dynpro abap.

Everytime I use IE, first I have to click on the IE bar to allow blocked contect to display. What is the content that is being blocked from IE? viewers may not know what the problem is and see my site totally out of format.
discoveriweb wrote:
This is iweb development where after publishing, things look different in IE than other browsers. U r correct that this is due to IE software but is iWeb related. After all, one uses iweb not to just publish in Safari but for all browsers.
Which means that you are only considering half of the problem, but that's your choice.
I'm out. -

Hi All,
Please tell me what is Portal in XI?
WHy we have separate IR and ID parts? Why they two have not clubed into one?
Thanks,
VijayHi Vijay,
SAP XI centrally manages the integration knowledge in the Integration Repository and Directory. The Integration Repository gathers together all objects relevant for shipment (see: Design) while the contents of the Integration Directory must be configured at the customer site for the particular system landscape (see: Configuration).
Integration Builder: Design - Integration Repository
Integration Builder: Configuration - Integration Directory
All design objects in OR are later on used in the configuration part ID.

Content Management - What exactly is a primary property
Dear all,
Can anybody tells me what exactly is a primary property in portal content
management?
Regards,
OrionOrion,
The content model does not distinguish between content and meta-content as many
cm systems do - a node just contains properties. The primary property is there
to distinguish what on the node is the actual content. More specifically, if you
use ShowBinaryServlet or GetPropertyTag, they display the property that is marked
as the primary property.

As XI developer what are the roles and authorization i shoul have in realti
Hi Experts,
As XI developer what are the roles and authorization i shoul have in realtime, as a dveloper is it possible for me to crate namespace and business system, can any one please exaplain me abt business system in real time scenario.
thanks
dhanushHi Dhanush,
your authorizations will be decided depends on your role in your team.
yes you will have authorization for creating name space ,but your bussiness system will be created by Basis pesron and assign it to your scenario.
Business System is a logical entity which represents logical view of your technical system. (eg a client in R3 system can be respresented as business system in SLD) For one technical system you can have multiple business systems.
Look in to these links for detalis of bussiness systems.

MDM Architecture: what does RICH content / THIN content refer to
Hi,
When I read through the SAP NetWeaver MDM architecture (major building blocks), I have a question (in order to explain to other audience....):
What does RICH content / Thin content refer to / mean?
Under the thin content, there is Search/View, Data maintanance, OCI. For rich content, there are all mdm clients listed below. I don't know how to explain this diagram because using SAP MDM, it seems there no thin content....the search/view and data maintanance function are realised in MDM data manager. So why is it listed here?
Thanks in advance!
Angela ZhangAs already guessed, it is simply that MDM can be run in a fully administrative environment consisting of the MDM UI clients (i.e. the MDM Data Manager, MDM Console, MDM Import Manager, MDM Syndicator, MDM Publisher), and/or you can run it using SAP NetWeaver Portal (thin client). For portal usage MDM has specific portal content (for example, specific iViews).

Hi All,
We have just started using OBIEE as a business intelligence solution and I am in a process of creating RPD for our current data model. However, as I have gone through the official oracle documentation and various posts but I am still not sure what is the CONTENT tab of an LTS signifies logically?
Can anyone please elaborate upon this with a small example or direct me to a more precise documentation with an example?
I will be highly thankful.
Thanks,
RonnyThanks but it's not mandatory
and give only those who
want.
If it was possible for me, I will give you a little
bit of point because I'm now sure that you
can't use the tab content of an lts for a level based
measure ;-)
good evening and go Netherlands !
