What is syntax to include a file ??

Hi,
I am trying to include a JSP file using below syntax .
<%
String corFile="sample/cat/01.jsp";
corFile="/"+corFile;
%>
<%= corFile %>
<%@ include file=corFile %> ==> It throws error.
<%@ include file= "/sample/cat/o1.jsp " %> works.
If I output the corFile in JSP it gives me ""/sample/cat/o1.jsp".
If somebody in the forum can tell me what I am doing wrong here???
Thanks
jack

Try this:
<jsp:include page="<%= corFile %>" />
or
<%@ include page="<%= corFile %>" %>
Although, I'm not sure you can use expressions in either, so they may not work. You might just have to use a string (the one you posted that works.

  • What package contains /usr/include header files?

    (Sorry for the x-post; put it in the wrong place originally.)
    I'm trying to find out which package contains the header files located in /usr/include/. I'm trying to compile some stuff and these headers aren't found. Any ideas? This is Solaris 10 x86 8/07.

    Alan, thanks for the reply -- I've sorted it out.
    I was looking for the "standard" headers in /usr/include/ such as stdio.h, sys/stat.h, to name a few. Found them in the SUNWhea package.

  • What is the best way to include external files in an application?

    I am developing a vocabulary-training program (Adobe AIR using Flex Builder 3). Asks you what an equivalent of a czech word is in english and the other way. I am storing the "dictionaries" in external XML files. I would like to include about twenty of them in the installation. So far I just had them in the applicationDirectory, but now, I added an editing feature and I ran across the fact, that I cannot write into the applicationDirectory. So I figured the most intuitive place for the dictionaries would be in the documentsDirectory/name of program. However, how do I tell the AIR installation to make the according folder and include the files?
    How do I do this, or what do you think is a better solution? Thanks!

    If this post answers your question or helps, please mark it as such.
    I'm creating an application that stores data in the "applicationStorageDirectory".
    Mac storage directory is <appData>/<appId>/Local Store/
      where <appData> is user preferences folder, typically /Users/<user>/Library/Preferences
    Win: storage directory is <appData>\<appId>\Local Store\
      where <appData> is typically C:\Documents and Settings\<userName>\Application Data
      Note: Vista uses "junctions", which behave like shortcuts but look just like regular folders.
        It is not possible to access them, and any attempt to do so will give you an "Access Denied" error.
        Here is the real folder location:
          C:\Users\<userName>\AppData\Roaming\ContactManager\Local Store\contacts.xml
    Linux: <appData>/<appID>/Local Store/    where  <appData>  is  /home/<user>/.appdata
    Here is how to code to read from and write to a file there in an AIR app:
    var contactsFile:File;
    var contactsXML:XML;
    var contactsXLC:XMLListCollection;
    var stream:FileStream;
    contactsFile = File.applicationStorageDirectory;
    contactsFile = contactsFile.resolvePath("contacts.xml");
    stream = new FileStream();
    if (contactsFile.exists) {
        stream.open(contactsFile, FileMode.READ);
        contactsXML = XML(stream.readUTFBytes(stream.bytesAvailable));
        stream.close();
        contactsXLC = new XMLListCollection(contactsXML..contact);
    }else{
        var outputString:String = '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>\n<contacts>\n';
        for each(var xml:XML in  contactsXLC){
          outputString += xml.toXMLString();
          outputString += "\n";
        outputString += "</contacts>\n";
        outputString = outputString.replace(/\n/g, File.lineEnding);
        stream = new FileStream();
        stream.open(contactsFile, FileMode.WRITE);
        stream.writeUTFBytes(outputString);
        stream.close();

    What does 'include render files' option mean for when I duplicate a project. I deselected it and the duplicated file is very slow so maybe this has affected it. It's a shame cause original project is deleted. Have I lost the rendered files? Thanks

    Yes, if you duplicate without the render files and delete the original project you lose the render files. But render files get recreated - automatically if you have it set in the preferences (which is the default option). It just takes time.

  • Can I include raw files into the installer folder with LV application builder?

    Hello,
    I have created a batch file that will run at the end of the installer, which will copy over some raw configuration files into the source destination so that the configuration files can be customized for each end user without rebuilding the installer with application builder. I also have an autorun.inf so the installer will automatically run when the user installs the CD.
    However I would like to have some default configuration files and an autorun.inf file that will be automatically added to the installer "volume" folder using the application builder.
    However I don't see a way to include raw files in the "volume" folder. It appears all source files in the application builder are embedded into the binary files.
    Please let me know if this is possible with the current application builder.

  • How to include .php file in .shtml using SSI

    Hi,
    I've just finished with my "Contact Us form" for my website and have some issues with running it. I have a .shtml file http://mydomain.com/contact-us.shtml in wich I'd like to include a contact us form file http://mydomain.com/includes/ContactUs.php. Now, having my web page "contact-us" as a *.shtml file with ContactUs.php file included, I can run the form but I can't send any emails.  If I would change contact-us.shtml in contact-us.php the form runs perfect but, I can't use other includes on that file as logo, header, footer etc. How could I include an .php file in a .shtml file and runing both the included .php script and includes themself?
    Thank You!

    Keep it simple.
    Your html file uses syntax like "<!--#include file=".header" -->" to include an SSI file. Your server requires either (1) that the html file have the .shtml extension or (2) you twiddle with an .htaccess file to cause the server to parse ALL html files for SSIs. The latter is generally not a good idea.
    PHP files are already processed on the server. You include SSI files the same way, but the syntax is a little different: "<?php include (".header"); ?> ".

    Under Option Summary, the usage includes AUDIO, PHOTOS, APPS and OTHERS. What are the things included in OTHERS? It is using up my storage space. Can someone please help?

    To add to Nick's comments, "Other" is typically approximately 1 gigabyte.  Occasionally for some users, it gets much (many times) bigger because they have some corrupt files.  If that's the case, it's best to restore the iPhone.
    Plug the iPhone into (current) iTunes, let it sync, then choose "Restore" on the right.  If restoring from the iPhone backup does not help, then restore (again) as new and then manaully sync the iPhone.

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to reference the custom JavaScript file which stored in the style library in custom action.
    I suggest you can reference the js file using the relative path of Style library like below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <Elements xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/">
    <CustomAction
    Title="test"
    ScriptSrc="~SiteCollection/Style Library/jquery-1.11.2.min.js"
    Location="ScriptLink"
    Sequence="100"
    >
    </CustomAction>

  • How can I include a file in a servlet?

    I need to include a header file in htm format and a footer as well. My question here is, is it possible to include these files when a servlet is executed? like in the cases of the jsp web apps, with the <%@include file = "header.htm"%> tag... please let me know and thanks in advance.
    Regards

    Use RequestDispatcher.include:
    RequestDispatcher rd =
    = this.getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher(url);
    try { rd.include(request, response); }
    catch (Exception e) { "Error : Dispatch includeError
    : " + e); }Where url is the relative url of the HTML file.Hi, thanks for your answer, I still having a problem there, I used the RequestDispatcher.Include but it didn't show the file this is the code I'm trying to use:
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException {
    OutputStream out = response.getOutputStream();
    RequestDispatcher rd = this.getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher("/form.htm");
    try {
    rd.include(request, response);
    catch (Exception e)
    System.out.println("Error : Dispatch includeError : " + e);
    try {
    IntervalCategoryDataset dataset = createGanttDataset();
    System.out.println("Total Categories: " + dataset.getCategoryCount());
    System.out.println("Total series: " + dataset.getSeriesCount());
         JFreeChart chart = ChartFactory.createGanttChart("Activities for F3319G1", "Activity", "Date", dataset, true);
    response.setContentType("image/png");
         ChartUtilities.writeChartAsPNG(out, chart, 800, 600);
    catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    System.err.println(e.toString());
    finally {
    out.close();
    This servlet gets an image.. so the ContentType is set to "image/png" I don't know if this is causing the problem in such case what would I need to include an html or htm file in this kind of servlet? thanks in advance.

    </servlet-mapping>
    Does anybody know the solution to this problem
    Any kind of help will be highly appreciated.
    Pinkesh

    Hi Adam Winer,
    I want to try your solution.
    just wanted some more clarification .....
    So, let's say you have:
    DWStaticJSP.jsp: plain JSP
    report_palm.jsp: JSF JSP included by DWStaticJSP.jsp
    What you should do is use an URL of:
    /faces/DWStatic.jsp
    to access the outer plain JSP (yes, even though it's not really a faces page), and then have
    /faces/DWStatic.jsp include just plain /report_palm.jsp.
    In essence, the critical thing is that the FacesServlet wraps the entire request - FacesServlet cannot run
    for just a piece of the request.My question is where should i store the DWStatic.jsp file ... As u said i should acces it using /faces/DWStatic.jsp do i need to save it in the faces folder or just in the web app root.
    I cant save the DWStatic.jsp in the faces folder as this file is used for lot of different purpose in my company application.
    So can u give me a solution where in i can keep the DWStatic.jsp in the web-root folder and still try your solution
    Also is this the right setting for facesServlet in the web.xml.
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>FacesServlet</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet</servlet-class>
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
    <!-- Faces Servlet Mapping -->
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>FacesServlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/faces/*</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    Whatever follows below this line is the describtion of the web appp structure which i have in my company.
    We have an application where in all the jsp files are stored in the web-app root folder.....
    I will be using alphabets like a.jsp ... b.jsp .... to keep the explanation small...
    I have an a.jsp file which includes a b.jsp file which in turn includes a c.jsp......
    Now we have started using JSF.....
    Now as a developer .... i want the c.jsp to include a d.jsp file which contains JSF components...
    The thing is i cant change the location of a.jsp, b.jsp and c.jsp......
    Can u tell me how i should call " a.jsp" ... imean the url so that the "d.jsp" file gets processed properly.
    Also where should i save all the jsp files and what config is requiered in the web.xml for your solution
    I thank you for your help

  • What to do with js, css files

    I hope this question is appropriate for this forum because I have scratched my head for hrs. I am in the mission of finding a simple drop down menu and came across to this site http://css-tricks.com/simple-jquery-dropdowns/
    It uses minimum jquery and CSS to achieve it. Looks like it is reasonable for a novice to tackle. Codes are downloaded and unzipped ( there are css,images,js). Question is how do I even get this to run under my test application ? I would think I need to import the image files but what to do with the rest of files? they are not plugin. Could any guru give me a jump start ?
    Any help is appreciated.
    ZenG

    You should be able to import them into APEX under "Shared Components - Static Files" and "Shared Components - CSS". Then you can include the files in your page template using the following html code:
    for js files
    <script src="#APP_IMAGES#hoverIntent.js"></script>for css files
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="#APP_IMAGES#style.css" type="text/css" />After a quick glance, I don't think you'll need the image they have included.

  • Include text file and display from text file

    Ok. I'm found the site with the monkey on the the flash thing and all it shows is a name, email and something else and I used it and it works by including a txt file and displaying text from that file as putting down this information
    name.text = this.name;
    and I can't find the site anymore to get help.
    I want to know how to include a PHP script that shows this information like this
    text=something I need&username=My Name&email=[email protected]
    I want to show this stuff on the flash but every time I execute by using it as localhost/test.php, it will show a sentax error.
    This is really stressing me out and I need a lot of help on this stuff.
    Can someone help me?

    ok. let me describe something else.
    there's 3 text boxes that is dynamic text.
    one of them is called name
    the other one is called email
    and last one is called location
    in the text file, it shows this for importing to the flash file
    name=My Name&email=EMAIL&location=My Location
    When viewing the flash file that you created, it shows the name, it shows the email, and it shows location.
    When I do it on my own even with a text file, it keeps on saying that there is an error on line 1.
    I found a site that shows how to do it and it shows what to put in a text file, and it shows the action script. On the FLA file that he shows me has a monkey on the flash file and it has 3 text boxes that I described above. As well as the text file, it is the same. I used the example and it worked but I can't find the example again. I don't know what happened to the website and I don't know what happened to the download I had but it is not downloaded any more. I have adanced systemcare pro so it clears out my recent web searches and my recent downloads so I can't find it. I did a google search on anything about action scripts. I even did a monkey action script search and I couldn't find it.
    It's making me mad and I don't know what to do. This is stressing me out way more than you think.
    UPDATE:
    I did a google search on a file I found in my www folder and I found it. finally.
    Here's the site.

    now, I need to figure out how to load it from a PHP file.

  • Include External File

    Hi,
    I'm using RequestDispatcher include method to include HTML files in my servlet. What I want to do however is include HTML files situated on a separate server in a separate domain. However even though I preface the address with http://xxxx/myfile.html it still searches for the file from the doc root. Does anyone know how I can get it to include a file from an external server. (I am using iPlanet 4.1 btw).
    Thanks,
    Sean

    If you read Javadoc for javax.servlet.RequestDispatcher and the various methods that one can use to get an instance of an object implementing this interface, it will be clear that it can be used only if the target resource is on the sane server as the one in which you are running your code in the first place.
    For your purpose, you would have to use the facilities provided by java.net.URL, java.net.URLConnetion and java.net.HttpURLConnection to gather content from the remote resource and then place that contents into your own resource's HTML being generated yourself.
