What is the connection type FILEF?

I have created a lot of connectors with the connection type "JCO".
Recently I notice a different connection type FILEF.
What is it? And in what circumstance is it used?

It is available in RAR so you can run offline mode risk analysis. Basically, via this connector RAR can support legacy ERP without providing RTA. Here is a link do a detailed document:

depending on the application to connect to backend SRM system, your connection type may change.
1. If you write Dynpro appliactions to use SRM System, at backend, it'll connect SRM via RFC.
2. If you use ITS to create views of SRM Transactions, then the connection will be Dailog and URL

I need to know what type connections used for file-to-RFC in backend .

Perform the following configurations...
SAP XI
1) RFC Destination (SM59)
a) Choose create.
b) Specify the name of the RFC destination
c) Select connection type as 3 and save
d) In the technical settings tab enter the details SAP SID/URL and system number#.
e) Enter the Gateway host as same details above SID/URL.
f) Gateway service is 3300+system number#.
g) In the Logon /Security tab, enter the client user & Password details of Destination system.
h) Test the connection and remote logon.
2) Create Port (IDX1)
a) Select create new button
b) Enter the port name as SAP+SID (The starting char should be SAP)
c) Enter the destination client.
d) Enter the RFC Destination created in SAP R/3 towards other system.
e) Save

1) RFC Destination (SM59)

b) Specify the name of the RFC destination
c) Select connection type as 3 and save

Trying Nokia PC Suite to perform various functions - failure in all cases, common message is "Cannot use the connection type. Check that the needed hardware, software and drivers are available".
No clues anywhere as to what is needed.
Bluetooth clearly works. Nokia PC Suite can't use it.
Totally stuck - wish to use PC connection to synchronise address books.

I think that PC Suite is not support your Bluetooth driver. Here you can find what drivers are supported:

Anyway, if Microsoft's BT driver support your BT HW, you can try to that stack also...
So, if you want to try to use MS BT driver:
1. Go to Control Panel, System, Hardware and Device Manager.
2. Open Bluetooth Devices, select that device, click Action, Uninstall and OK.
3. Click Action and Scan for hardware changes.
(windows should automatic install MS BT driver)

1) Invalid characters while loading: When you are loading data then you may get some special characters like @#$%...e.t.c.then BW will throw an error like Invalid characters then you need to go through this RSKC transaction and enter all the Invalid chars and execute. It will store this data in RSALLOWEDCHAR table. Then reload the data. You won't get any error because now these are eligible chars done by RSKC.
2) IDOC Or TRFC Error: We can see the following error at u201CStatusu201D Screen:Sending packages from OLTP to BW lead to errorsDiagnosisNo IDocs could be sent to the SAP BW using RFC.System responseThere are IDocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in the ALE inbox of the SAP BW.Further analysis:Check the TRFC log.You can get to this log using the wizard or the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system".Removing errors:If the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is completely connected to the SAP BW. Check especially the authorizations of the background user in the source system.Action to be taken:If Source System connection is OK Reload the Data.

It has a list of the algorithms, which are pretty disappointing, I must say. No Random Forests? No ensembling methods? Given that it's using R algorithms, I must say this is a missed opportunity to beat products like SPSS and SAS at their own game. If SAP were to include this functionality, they would be the only BI vendor capable of having a serious predictive tool integrated with the rest of the platform.... but this looks pretty weak.
I can only hope a later release will remedy this - or maybe the SDK will allow me to create what I need.
As things stand, I could built a random forest using this tool, but I would have to use a lot of hardcoded SQL to make it happen. And if I wanted to go down that road, I could use the algorithms that come with the Microsoft/Oracle software.
Please let me be wrong........
