What on earth is a compilation and how do I make use of one?

The online help in iTunes doesn't really explain what a compilation is. How do I go about using one?

A compilation is a single album by multiple artists — a "best of the 80s" album would be a compilation, for instance. Marking it as such will keep the album together for some sorting criteria, and will sort the album to a compilations section at the end of your library if you're sorting "Album by Year" or "Album by Artist". You can also opt to not have every individual artist on a compilation display in your Browser and on your iPod, instead filing them under a single Compilations heading.

Ok I've been looking around, and I see a lot of talk about these Labview Add on's/Apps. I think it is great that Labview is expanding with this, but just what is an Add On.
Is it a glorified vi, with added features? I'm not really sure.

While true, I think this is another case of the misleading labeling of the Developer Suite. It seems to me that a**bleep**akaLax has the 2012 Developers Suite, which contains LV2011 and other items. Since the Dev Suite was released in 2012, it's called 2012.

As a temporary workaround, I believe this Adobe management page allows you to clear your "Flash cookies": [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Website Storage Settings panel] (hosted on macromedia.com -- Macromedia was the original developer of Flash).
Regarding the script error, if I'm reading the script correctly, it is related to accessing your Flash cookies directory. It seems the publisher's support forum is not currently available for searching, but that might be a good next step.
In the meantime, could you check whether the script has the correct location for your Flash cookies directory? If you can't access Tool > BetterPrivacy, you could check here:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''bpr''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) There should be a bolded setting named '''extensions.bprivacy.DataDir''' which looks approximately like the following:
C:\Users\''yourWindowsUsername''\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia
Do you have a similar value? If you paste the path used by BetterPrivacy into a Windows Explorer window, does it open? Also, click a couple levels in the folder, can you see:
Flash Player \ #SharedObjects
If the value is wrong, right-click the wrong value and choose Reset. BetterPrivacy should update the value the next time you try to access it.
If the value is blank, you could try inserting a sensible value and see whether that helps.

I bougth the sf2 program change for garagaband, but what is it exactly and how do I make it work?

I couldn't find out what exactly the sf2 program change is, but it seemed nice, so I bought it, hoping that it would explain itself when installed. It hasn't. I did hope that it would give me some more midi instruments, and it seems like it should, but how to get them into garaband (10.0.2)?

It says I can add "audio unit plugins" to a track. Now I don't know what an audio unit plugin is, but I assume that it is a confusing word for a sound, and that it refers specifically to the sf2 sounds. I got as far as the smart control inspector but then "Click an empty part of the Audio Units area, choose Audio Units, then choose a plug-in from the submenu." What is the audion units area? I have clicked the empty part of whatever I could find here, but there is no submenu anywhere.
Is there anybody out there who could give a really basic explanation of what it is that I have purchased and how I can make it work? I would really apreciate it.

PHP is most often found installed on your host server if you subscribe to a half decent host service. You shouldn't have to do anything to make it work. You just name the files you use with it using a .php file extension so that the server recognizes that it needs to use PHP to process the file.
It may be possible to install PHP on your own PC, though I am clueless to say more on the matter. Chances are if you don't know what PHP is, you won't want to deal with creating your own.

What exactly is InheritableThreadLocal Storage, andI have only seen one previous use of ThreadLocal objects and it was somewhere on http://www.javaworld.com on a solution to the Java double-checked locking problem.
Roughly speaking, previously to Java1.2 you had two variable-type choices in Java. The first is a static variable that is the same across ALL instances of a class. The second was an instance variable, that is can be different in EVERY instance of a class. Java 1.2 introduced the ThreadLocal variable-type. If a variable type is ThreadLocal, then every running Thread may see a different value for the variable - essentially it is a Map of Threads to values.
InheritableThreadLocal is finely different from ThreadLocal. They are almost identical excepting that if one Thread is spawned from another (ie. it is a "child" thread) then the value of the InheritableThreadLocal variable will be the same in the child Thread as the parent Thread.
As to when it could be used, I'm not so sure (other than the no-brainer "when you want a variable to have different values in different Threads"). I'd be interested to hear about any instances where someone has used a variable such as this.

An .ISO image is a well, form of image file. :3
If you want to change it to a .img/.dmg (Which are, essentially, the same file) you can use this Terminal command:
hdiutil convert -format UDRW -o /path/to/target.img /path/to/original.iso
OSX tends to chuck a .dmg on the end after conversion, just get rid of it if you don't want it. Apple's Bootcamp FAQ should help you using bootcamp, but I'm not sure if OSX 10 has bootcamp. You can always try searching for it.
