What's the size of the printable area?

Hi,
im trying to do some printing using the Printable interface.
But inside the print method I can't find the correct dimensions for the printable area, set by the page object.
Could someone provide me with a print method, which prints a rectangle which outlines the printable area?
Thanx in advance
Spieler

hi,
this works for me (after I'd set the paper size in the paper dialog correctly..)
hope it helps,

  • The margins of section # are set outside the printable area of the page.

Hi i have a Hp 7410 all in one officejet. I have just gone from Xp Pro to Windows 7 64 bit. I have installed correct drivers and Hp's own tool tells me i have the current drivers. But i just went to print in Microsoft Word 2007 and am getting the error The margins of section # are set outside the printable area of the page. Do you want to continue?. If i continue i am missing the bottom section of my document. How can i fix this as this printer worked perfectly in XP but now in Windows 7 it is not working. this is the only trouble IM having......

    Hi,
I'm not sure that changing from XP to Windows 7 should have a detrimental effect on your ability to print. I did check out the 7410 printer manual at the following location:
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00235090.pdf
On page 74 there is a reference for adjusting page margins in connection with MAC users & 2-sided printing.  However, perhaps if you go to the page layout tab in MS word & click on the margins section.  It offers a selection (Normal, narrow, moderate, wide & mirrored) so maybe if you select one of these the system will right size the document for printing.
As I say I can't explain how this may have happened but hopefully choosing a margin setting will help.

  • Adobe Reader will not center the printable area on the page

    Hi there,
I have posted a few times about this issue already but have still not gotten an answer so I'm trying again. Adobe Reader will not center PDF files on the page if the printable area is less than 8.5" X 11". I make sewing patterns for a living and have always drafted them on 7.5" X 10" artboards (printable areas)....the art boards are centered on the page when they are drafted. Up until a few months ago there has never been an issue for me or my customers to print the patterns in either landscape, portrait (depending on the particuar PDF's orientation) or autoportrait/landscape orientation. Then about 2 or so months ago I started getting complaints about the top left hand side of the page getting cut off. When I tried printing one of the PDF's myself that was drafted in landscape orientation, and I printed it in "landscape" orientation, the top left side of the pdf did indeed get cut off. When I printed in autoportrait/landscape orientation the pdf printed fine, and for many of my customers this seems to fix the problem. But for many of them it doesn't fix the problem and the pdf still prints with part of it getting cut off regardless of which box is checked for orientation. I've found that if I go to the "pages to print" box and click "other options" then select "current view" this often solves the problem...but then the user does not seem to be able to select which pages to print. This is becoming a major problem for my business (lots of complaints) and would really like to know if anyone has looked at this issue and if the problem will be solved anytime soon. It is not just me but many of my colleagues and 100's of customers. Help! Thank you:)

Make sure you have the latest Adobe Reader installed for your OS.

Did you try using Preview. If you control click on the PDF on your desktop you can use the "open with" option.

  • What is the "sorting" area in the Get Info menu?

I would like to know what the sorting area does but I also have a specific question.
I bought the singles for an album, but now that the album came out, the singles and the rest of the album are grouped seperately. When I try to play songs of just that album on iTunes or on my iPhone, the singles are excluded. Can I use the "Sort album" field in the Get Info menu for the singles to group them with the album? Will I lose the album artwork of the singlesitunes?

    Thanks for the reply.
Strangely enough I didn't find any information on it in the help system, in the knowlegebase, or any of my Tiger books. Seems this was overlooked in just about everything.

  • What is the coverage area of any AP..?

            Hi,
I am new to the Wireless section as worked in the R&S only.
What is the average range of any AP associated with the WLC and the basic of WLC work flow.
           Please help me the concepts.
           Thanks in advance.

I agree with Leo here. These days you never look at how far an AP covers. Back in the days the access points data sheets had the receive sensitivity range in ft., they got rid of that info because it's really irrelevant. You need to provide coverage by understanding what the requirements are for the wireless. Attenuation and noise has an affect on your coverage and like Leo mentioned, you need to be on the moon... Don't really know about that though:). Maybe in Utah's Salt Flats.
Here is a reference from the 1242, and it's just a reference.... Doesn't mean that it's accurate for your environment.

  • WHAT IS THE DEPRECIATION AREA

    WHAT IS THE DEPRECIATION AREA

    Hi
Depreciation areas are used to valuate fixed assets according to different purposes / requirements. In broad terms we can identify two different depreciation areas are Book Depreciation, Income tax depreciation and consolidated depreciation.
In Book depreciation, depreciation is calculated as per the statutory requirements of the corporate laws (for example Indian Companies Act). As per Income Tax act, depreciation is calculated as per the Income tax laws. Usually we assign declining balance method of depreciation key for this area.
In SAP, we can calculate depreciation for both the depreciation areas, but GL is updated as per Book depreciation. Income Tax depreciation is only for reporting purpose.

  • What about the rural areas ???

As we all know BT's Fibre rollout plans keep getting put back and back. The rural areas are suffering and of course Bt announce BT sport free for fibre users (Yes I'm aware that any non fibre users can use the app to watch sport if with broadband) also to top this off they have announced 18 new channels for fibre users only at a cheap cost. My question is what about the little guys ? My exchange has no plans yet for fibre although 2 miles north or south they have fibre. Why should we be penalised for not having it ? I've had Youview for nearly a year now and to be comepletly honest it seems orientated to fibre users only. Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me ?

"don't moan about it taking a bit longer to get to you" It's not just a bit though Colin its 5 years if not longer could be 10 years. I took Youview on being told by many different Bt staff i could get the same services as everyone else. Surely when the youview service was sold to me they could have explained there and then certain services were for fibre only. It just annoys me to find i can't get these services and even more so things are finally hitting the platform.. Colin really your answer is to move ? bit drastic don't you think ?.

  • What does the "Local Area Connection* 12" mean?

using the commands below(win 8.1 professional):
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode = allow ssid=myWifiName key=myWifiPwd
    netsh wlan start hostednetwork
In Windows 7, the commands will generate "Wireless Network Connection 2"(I think the reason is that there already exists a connection called WLAN. So it starts from number 2).
In Windows 8.1, the commands will generate "Local Area Connection* 12"(I could not figure out the reason why the number is 12 and what the asterisk means???).
I could not stop myself from thinking why the number starts from 12 and what the asterisk means? I could not get useful info from google. So I registered an account. Could you help me please ? thanks.

Windows makes several "simulated" network adapters for various purposes. For example, if you're on an IPv4-only network, but you want to connect to an IPv6 computer on the internet, Windows can create a simulated network adapter that tunnels the IPv6 traffic
    through your IPv4 network.
There are actually quite a few of these simulated network adapters.  Since they usually quietly take care of themselves, and they don't correspond to any actual network hardware that you (the end-user) can see or touch, Windows will hide them by default,
    to avoid clutter.
Now suppose Windows just started numbering all the adapters with the same naming scheme ("Ethernet 1", "Ethernet 2", "Ethernet 3", . . ., etc.).  Then by the time you actually install your actual NIC, it would probably get a name like "Ethernet 7".
But since Windows hides the first 6 network interfaces, you'd see a listing that only includes one NIC: "Ethernet 7".  And you'd probably say "stupid Windows doesn't know how to count."
So instead, we have two numbering schemes.  Real, physical NICs get numbered "Ethernet ###" (or "Wi-Fi ###", etc.) while all the hidden network adapters get "Local Area Connection* ###".  That way, the NICs that you see will be numbered
starting from 1, even though there are a big pile of hidden network interfaces that were installed first.
What does the asterisk mean?  The asterisk used to be the signal that the NIC was a hidden NIC.  Older versions of Windows named all visible NICs "Local Area Connection ###", and hidden ones were distinguished by adding an extra asterisk.
These days, we try to avoid using nerdy jargon like "Local Area Connection" when talking to you, so we changed the naming pattern to "Ethernet".  But since hidden NICs don't matter, we kept their old naming pattern with the asterisk.
If you're curious, you can see all the network interfaces on your system with this PowerShell command:
    Get-NetAdapter -IncludeHidden
(I'm the engineer that invented and implemented Windows's current NIC naming policies.)

  • What is the user area control type

I am able to find volumes of data on using buttons, text areas, check boxes, etc... But there seems to be no reference any where to the user area control type.

    Hi
In the Case 2, scenario i.e. when some one modifies the file, it does show in the source control as pending changes. In case multiple user check out the file, then it show only one user.
Kindly try once again this is one of the basic and essential functionality of version control and TFS does support this.
    Cheers, Senthilraj

  • Is there a script available for arranging elements for optimal use of the printable area?

I'm starting a sticker printing business using Illustrator as my main layout and illustration too. I was wondering if there's a script available for automatically arranging a set of elements on a page so that they optimally take up the available space. I figured this would save me some on material costs.
If I were to create a script from scratch, can someone give me pointers? I'm a casual AI user but I have Javascript experience.
    Thanks.

The below image shows the 4 different die sizes, the artwork fits inside the dotted box so make sure that we have room around the die and the drill holes are assigned as well.
The name of each die is listed above it, and the size is listed below it.
The script is set to take each die and place it on the template until it is full, then it will save it and move it to the folder where it will be grabbed and preped for printing.
Everything below the **** is the script.

Hope this helps someone get one created because if they can make one that doesn't depend on the premade dies that would help me out quite a bit because some of the dies that we make are an odd size so we have to place them manually.

  • What in the hell are all these friend requests?

So about a week ago, I was getting friend requests from FirstName LastName, and was just deleting them. Now, ONLY LAST NIGHT, I have had 16 more requests. What the hell is this and apart from manually deleting ONE INDIVIDUAL REQUEST AT A TIME for the rest of my life, how do I stop it?
    Cheers,
    Marc

    Hello Dhruvin,
I think you shall have a look on the current help about this issue as it is a Complex ssue meaning "extense" and also one of the basic Points on the customizing and deployment of a CRM System:
Organizational Management in SAP CRM - SAP Library
Basically the Sales Area Data identifies your BP in your Sales Organization.
You define your sales organization so its fits your business requirements and real structure. f
Having this information properly defined helps to link data between SD and CRM so you can have for example: - The proper price for a customer when creating and Oportunity/ Sales Order.
                  - To restrict the access of the information of an employee.
    Hope these hints help..
    Regards

  • What's the best Inkjet Printable Blank DVD for consistant printing ?

I'm looking for advice for a reliable, consistant manufacturer of printable DVD-R's.
I burn and print short runs for clients at home, and I'm having problems finding a consistant print surface, which is a problem for reprints if i use disks from a diferent spindle. Even from the same supplier, disks have a variety of width inner circle, so I have to redesign the face before printing.
I've also found that a lot of the disks labelled as white are slightly yellow, and often have a wide inner ring that's white, but appears darker than the rest of the disk surface.
I've been using some Verbatim disks recently. They have a consistant diameter inner circle, but they are a bit yellow.
Does anyone have any suggestions for consistant inkjet printable media ?
    Thanks
    Stephen

I use Maxell, (can't beat the quility of the disk) and they are print to center media. I haven't noticed any yellow cast them, they seem white to me, from spindle to spindle.
There is a slight difference in density of color on the very center, but your going to find that on any DVD, due to the fact that that part of the disk doesn't have a reflective layer like the burnable area of the disk does, this is normal.
The printable area of Maxell disk is consistant, doesn't change from batch to batch.
