I just noticed one of my friends had this little wifi-looking logo by their name. Just got a screenshot of it before they went offline. What is it for?

It means the web site is trying to display something using Flash (most likely) or some other graphic material that the iPhone can't display.

What is the little blue bell icon and HOW do I get rid of it?

Hi all,
I keep getting a little blue bell icon with 2 red curved lines up at the top right corner of my screen. I do not have any alarms or alerts set. What is this and how do I get rid of it? (permanently would be nice). Thanks in advance for any wisdom y'all can impart.

Actually neither of the above (I had said I have no alarm set).
Turns out it is the symbol for voicemail calls I didn't receive (thank you from someone else who also has the same problem with their Pearl). To get rid of it one must go into the voicemail area and manually delete those calls.

HELP what is this little red light on the front of my phone?

I know about the 3 sensors on the front of the phone on the top near the ear piece, and the one on the bottom on the right keeps showing a red light. It looks like a small red "C" with a little dot in it. When ever the phone becomes active the light comes on, and stays on for about 10 seconds after locking.
I just today affixed a new screen protector (invisible shield) and just now noticed it happening for the first time. I do work in a dimly lit room but never had this happen before.
What does this light mean and how do I stop it?

Could be a sensor. Or light leaking into the sensor from the screen

What is this little grey box in the bar ruler of Logic Pro 9?

What is the little grey rectangular marker above and to the left of the green triangle? It moves around like an auto punch or loop marker. I think it was causing my project to export a 17 minute long mixdown when the audio files end after about four minutes so I want to get rid of it. Thanks.

it is a screen shot of my Camera Roll on my iPhone, in it is a picture i was trying to email someone. however at the last minute i decided not to send the picture and i canceled the email, which gave me the option to delete draft so i did. then it takes me back to the Camera Roll, and when i tap the image to reveal the status bar at the top that icon that has a red box around it is there, when i exit camera roll it disappears, and this is the only time iv ever seen it, i noticed this, and i repeated exactly what i did about 4 times and it was there each time. on the 5th and 6th and any more attempts after that it did not appear again.
i thought it might have something to do with location services, but the location of the picture from where i was when this was happening was in the opposite direction. and the status icon pointed in the same direction each time.
anyone have any ideas?

Yep, it's for Location Services. I think they changed out the crosshairs and are using that arrow instead. That arrow doesn't act like a compass though... just a static icon.

What's a good Wifi USB adopter for Macbook OSX 10.5.8?

The wifi on my Macbook is broken and I heard a wifi USB adopter is a good solution. Unfortunately, the Linksky bought from Best Buy wasn't comparable and apparently none of the retail stores has one that is. Any suggestions?

The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

What is this...a trim for something?

For the life of me I can't figure out what this section does. Anyone know? It looks like some sort of trim level but it doesn't seem to do anything.

That is the new addition to LPX from 10.1 onwards... called Audio Interface Remote Controls that allows you to directly control your Audio Interface settings from within LPX itself... like the Mic Pre Gain as an example. The range of settings available will depend on which audio interface you have.

I got something to embed HTML with it's pics and text and stuff...
But this is in AS2.0 and I would need it in AS3.0..
I was checking the AS2.0 migration on Adobe website, but I can't find / don't know some things..

What is the little Spider / Bug button for?

I was at my parents house today and downloaded Safari on my Dad's Windows XP laptop. There was a button next to the address bar that looked like a "spider" or "bug"... I didn't have time to toy around with Safari and waited until I got home. Downloaded it on my Mac and the button isn't there... ???
Anyone know what this button does, and why it isn't on the Mac version?

As stated above, its a "Report Bug" button (You can read that by going to View - Customize Toolbar... Obviously its too hard to make tooltips for the app interface). Why it's not on Mac version? Well, probably because they expect many report bugs on Windows version.
Or maybe they think Windows users are stupid enough not to find it in the menu.

When using Firefox for the 1st time, I was unable to save or edit bookmarks. I fixed this but now the icon for the bookmark is a blank dotted square. How do I fix this?

I deleted the "places.sqlite" and "localstore" files as instructed in the support FAQ section, and now i can save bookmarks, but in the Bookmarks toolbar and drop down menu, the only bookmark that has an icon(picture) next to the name of the bookmark is one that I use the IE Tab extension for due to incompatibility of that website with Firefox. This one does have an Internet Explorer Icon. The rest are just a blank dotted square where the icon should be. I downloaded Firefox 8 first and was having this problem, so I tried Aurora, which I am using now but got the same problem. The below support instructions solved the problem of not being able to save Bookmarks, but now I am having the icon issue.

I am doing some test.
Cenario:
I need to create a Scheduling Agreement in transaction: VA41
The material I am using to create the VA41, I have just created.
I created in MM01 the views: Basic Datas 1 and 2, Sales View 1,2 and 3 and Account View 1.
Issue:
When I am creating the VA41 and I enter the material, the system shows the messages:
1) Dates from:: Base line date for rule 11 not set
2) Dates from:: Base line date for rule 9 not set
*obs: the messages dos not block the creation of VA41. It is a information message.
Question:
What that means? What will happen if I do not fix that? What should I do in order to not have more these messages?
