What Server to use ?

Question

I'm building a client/server application. The client will be Swing based, and the business logic will all live on the server, accessed via RMI.
What is the most appropriate "application server" to host the server side ? Running rmiregistry and the implementations from the command line (the technique described in the RMI tutorial) isn't really appropriate - but I've not found anything conspicuous as an alternative.
Can Tomcat provide this sort of service ? If not what else ? Something mainstream, please - Tomcat is fine, but "Timmy's Special RMI Server" probably wouldn't be. Commercial Ok, but free preferred for obvious rea$ons.

Oh. Now I understand...
You can start the registry and the implementations programmatically, so create a servlet with appropriate init() and destroy() methods, then use the App Server of your choice.
Surely someone wanted those Duke Dollars !?
