What should I do if I can't sign into my itunes acount?

On my itouch, it wont allow me to sign in. When i try to sign in, it says, "a secure connection could not be established. Please check your Date & Time setting." When I check that everything is right. It still wont work! Sometimes it just loads then stop! So i cant get song ,movies ,music videos or apps! Please HELP!

- Have you tried resetting your iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- When checking the time and date, make sure both the time zone and time/date are correct.

    Are you pertaining to your Apple account? Make sure that you have the right email and password to access it. Check your email account you used for that.

    Since the ios7 update I can't sign into my itunes on my ipad or my iphone. It's prepopulated with an old ID, and I can't even view my account to fix it. At first the problem was that after the ios7 update my apple ID for icloud was prepopulated with my old ID. So after three days of trying to fix it, I finally just went on my mac and changed my ID back to the old one. I thought I solved my problems... I was able to sign into icloud on my ipad. Now today... my itunes apple ID is prepopulated with my ID I was using up until a few days ago. I am at a loss. I have no idea how to restart (or whatever) and just fix everything (icloud, itunes, and anything else that might prepopulate down the road that I don't even know about) ... I'm so frustrated! I'm glad the security is better but I wish there was an emergency code you could have emailed to you after answering extremely secure questions... or something. Please help. Thank you!

    I had a similar issue. I was able to sign into iTunes but when I tried to view my account information iTunes repeatedly asked for my password in an endless loop. I solved the issue by unblocking cookies in safari: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3388

    I can't sign into the itunes store using the 3G network?
    I keep getting the error "Can't connect to the iTunes Store"
    This also makes it impossible for me to use itunes match with the 3G network.

    I've got this as well and it seems to have affected only the Music and Home pages - do a search in the search bar and you will get to the films etc. Looks like somone goofed! If anyone from Apple checks this out, mine is the UK store. Home page and Music pages only affected.

    I was able to download the new Foo Fighters album on the 15/5/11. Since then I have been unable to sign into the iTunes uk account.It does not recognise my Apple ID or password. It doesn't recognise the date of birth I put in, too. When I request a password reset email I receive nothing at all. This is very frustrating.     i think what i did was instead of clicking the little button that has your email to sign into your account, i instead clicked "redeem" on the iTunes store homepage ((cause i wanted to redeem an itunes gift card)) which asked me to sign in, but that time my details worked?? idk but yeah if you try that it might work!

    Bought a new computer with Windows 7, installed iTunes today and wanted to log into my Apple account in the iTunes Store but it kept giving me this-
    'We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.'
    I have no idea what this particular message relates to... network connection? Apple ID problem? I'm not sure. I've tried restarting my computer and simply restarting iTunes itself but it hasn't done anything. Anyway, I'm at a loss as to what I should do now! Any help to offer? I just want to sign into my account to download songs I've purchased, since the music's been wiped from my phone now because I synced it to the new computer.
    I don't know if this is needed but my computer is an Alienware X51 R2.

    I was having the same issue ... unfortunately my fix may not help you as I am using a mac but I followed an apple support recommendation from this webpage http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US which under the "Troubleshooting on a Mac" said "You may need to reset your keychain. Connection issues are occasionally caused by keychain issues. Click here to find out how to use Keychain First Aid to resolve any issues with your keychain" I repaired my keychain and miraculously I was able to log in to itunes again. There is also a page link there "trouble shooting for windows" so there could be something there that might help which is equivilent to the mac keychain?  Hope this works for you too!

  • I can't sign into my itunes account. Says Itunes not available.

    I can use the itunes store on my iphone, but not my PC. I can not purchase on anything on the itunes store because i cant sign in. my ID and password are both correct, but when i try to sign in it says itunes store not available. It says nothing about incorrect passwords or IDs.
    Anyone else have this issue or know how to solve it?

  • Can't sign into my iTunes account after upgrading to ios 6 on ipad 2

    Anyone having this issue?

    iTunes 9.0.2.
    Trouble logging in for a couple of days.
    1. Always have logged in with my username only.
    2. Now requires me to login with my [email protected]
    3. When I log in with my [email protected] my account details (top-right hand corner of iTunes store) states [email protected]
    4. All my previous purchases state in Info that my Account name is just username.
    5. Now logging in with [email protected] ([email protected]) any new purchase list the Account name as [email protected]
    6. My account two days ago (just username) had credit on it. Now its gone because I can no longer log in under that account.
    7. All purchases under that account that have updates are not available because I cannot log in.
    ITunes & iPhone error message:
    This Apple ID is not available.
    Also, tried logging in to send this reply and I received the message This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons. Why???
    So I reset my password - to the same password and had a few teething problems, but have now managed to login.
    Note: me.com has not been affected. There has been no issues with my login for my me.com account.
    But wait there is more....
    I just thought I would try it again, because I had just reset the password through Apple Discussions, and I can now login with just my username in iTunes. All seems to be working as per usual.
    Why there has been an issue with iTunes and Apple Discussion, and not with logging in to http://www.me.com - I don't know???
    Perhaps this will fix your problem as well - reset your password.

    I'm trying to redeem some itunes gift cards that I got, but I'm not able to sign in to my account for some reason.
    The error message reads:
    itunes could not connect to the itunes store.
    Make sure your network connection is active and try again.
    I don't know why it is doing this. I tried to make another account, but the same error message comes up. Should I try deleting itunes then re-installing?? Will all my songs be lost?

    Open iTunes, selec the Store, then click on Redeem at the top tight of iTunes.
    Enter the card number then click *Use existing account*.

    Basically i made an itunes account a few months ago without credit card details and it has everything my ipod contains on there, a few weeks ago my laptop broke and now im using my sisters which i downloaded itunes on and it won't let me sign in now unless i put card details in which i don't want to do, is there anyway of accessing my account without puting card details in? i would like to update my ipod

    I would recommend reviewing this article. You may want to consider beginning at step five: 
    iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    Resolution
    If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
    If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
    If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
    If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
    If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
    Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
    If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
    If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
    If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
    Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
    If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more aboutrestoring iOS software.
    If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
    If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.
    A restore of the device, and setting it up as new will help with the  software issues you've described.
