What steps to view what i have downloaded on my shuffle and delete the books individually so i can add another book and leave others in place

I would like to know how to view books downloaded on mt shuffle and delete as i listen to them so i can add a new one in its place.   please advise and thank you in advance.

If you manually added audiobooks to the shuffle (instead of setting up automatic syncing), this is how to see what is on the shuffle and remove items manually.  These directions are for the 3rd and 4th (current) gen shuffle.
If the iTunes sidebar (along left side of window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.  When connected, the shuffle appears in the sidebar, under DEVICES.  Click the small triangle to the left of the shuffle's name, to drop down its content list (indented below the shuffle).
If there are audiobooks currently loaded on the shuffle, you should see Audiobooks on the shuffle's content list.  Click on Audiobooks.  To the right, the list of audiobooks on the shuffle is shown.  Select the audiobook you want to remove and press Delete on the keyboard.  You can do this with more than one item selected.
NOTE:  To view and remove songs, click Music on the shuffle's content list.
If you used automatic syncing to load the audiobooks, or if your shuffle is 1st or 2nd gen, please post back.
