When I convert a Pages document to pdf black stripes appear on two of the images, how do I get rid of them?
I've made a catalogue in Pages, but when I convert it to pdf two black horizontal dotted stripes appear on two of the images.
The images are two rectangular figures I've put in filled with solid blue color. They're not there in the Pages, only when converting to pdf.
How do I get rid of the stripes? I need to use the catalogue in pdf format to send out, but the stripes are very visible whatever I do.
The solid blue figures are they just rectangular shapes with the color specified in the Color Picker?
Or did you fill them with an image?

Updated my iPhone 4 to iOS6. All OK. A new app 'Stocks' appeared and I cannot delete it. When it wiggles for the deletion process, no black circle and 'X' appears to allow deletion. How do I get rid of it?
The Stocks app has always been there. It is not new. Either hide it with Restrictions or drag it to the last page and never look at it again.

While types a blank document on pages, there are "invisible" boxes at the top and bottom of each page, and they only appear when I scroll over them. Does anyone know what these boxes are, and how i can get rid of them from my paper?
Those are the Header and Footer spaces. You remove them using the Document Inspector. Uncheck the "Headers" and "Footers" checkboxes shown checked here:

i have changed computers and the new user of my old computer wants to use itunes. i deauthorised the computer and uninstalled itunes. when he reinstalled itunes all my songs and apps are still there. how do i get rid of them for him?
Erase the internal drive and install a fresh OS.

in my iPhoto library i have photos of web pages i don't know how they got there there are hundreds of them ,how do i get rid of them and stop them please help me as i have no idea many thanks
im sorry to be a bit thick here i didnt know this was happening until i looked through all my photoes i use an sd card to put pictures on lap top and icloud from my phone but in library there are all web pages i have ever been to ie face book ebay etc i didnt know if there was any thing i should be turning off many thanks for ur last answer though

Since I downloaded latest version of iTunes on my Windows 7 PC, most pictures and documents have blue boxes covering a big portion of the thumbnail images. I hate it, how do I get rid of them?

When I close Firefox, there are two underlying windows that I have to close every time. How do I get rid of them for good and prevent this from continuing to happen. Both windows were opened by me during viewing at some point, so they did originate from me.

What are this things in my document and how can I get rid oth them
Hi,
I'm a happy recent switcher, I'm migrating my .doc documents to pages '08 but sometimes I'm getting weird vertical lines and triangles in the pages document.
What are they and how can I get rid of it, cause they get printed. There is no way to affect it using the mouse.

I have smart playlists on my iphone that i never created, a couple of them are duplicated and I cant figure out how to delete them. When i connect my phone to pc using Itunes these "Ghost" playlists do not even show up when I click "on my phone". These lists are there and they do have songs and work, I just want to get rid of them and I dont know how. Any help would be appreciated.
Okay. Try checking "manually manage music and videos", and then click the flippy triangle next to your device. Then select the items you want to delete and just press Delete on your keyboard.

Do you have any extensions or other add ons configured within Safari? If so, please remove or disable all of those, restart Safari, and try accessing the web page again.

How can I get rid of unwanted photos. As I'm going along removing pictures, they seem to be gone. When I return to iPhoto, they are back.
The original images are in your Library section - (events and photos). In order to delete them permanently, you need to select the image, and drag it to the trash in the left hand column of iPhoto, or go to "photos / move to trash".
This puts them in the iPhoto trash, and they are still not gone. To delete them completely, you must select trash in the left, then select to empty iPhoto trash.
All images you see in albums, or slideshow, are just short cuts back to the originals, in the events and photos sections. If you delete them from albums, they are still in the library section. -

I have been asked to send a Pages document to PC users in RTF or PDF format. How can I get my Pages document to convert into other formats for PC people?
Is that what the export feature is supposed to do? I just don't know how to sent my document via e-mail to non-Apple conputers!You didn’t indicate whether you are using Pages ’09 v4.+ or the latest Pages v5(.2) release. To send an email with either Word or PDF attachment from within Pages:
Pages ’09 v4+
Pages menubar > Share (category Send via Mail) > (select Word (.doc) or PDF). Mail will launch into a compose window with the document already attached.
Pages v5+
Pages toolbar > Share > Send a Copy > Email > (select Word (.doc/x) or PDF - best). Mail will behave as above.
Note: Either version of Pages is not an MS Word clone and it must translate content into the Microsoft document architecture. If you must have maximum Word document accuracy, you will need Office for Mac 2011, and the associated MS Word application that produces native .docx format.

How do I convert a Pages document to pdf on the iPad?
Does anyone know if there is an app that allows you to do this? I have to create a document in pages, create a pdf of the document, then email it to several addresses. Seems like there ought to be a way to accomplish this on the iPad, and not go to my laptop.
When you click on the Share icon in the top right corner of Pages, it will ask you how you want to share...

You said you wanted to e-mail it, so select Send a Copy. Select Mail. Now it will ask you for a file format, so select PDF.
That's it. Just type in the names of the e-mail recipients and you're good to go.
If you want to send the document as a non-CC type e-mail message, and BCC won't work because you need to have a custom body in the e-mail, then you can download most any PDF app. iBooks is an Apple based one and it's free. Instead of selecting Send a Copy, select Open in Another App. Now select your format as PDF. Select Choose App. Tap on iBooks or whatever. Now you can send the PDF from iBooks instead. -
This little box near the top right started showing up recently, and after a few times I realized I did want to change my home page to my most frequently used web page, so I followed the instructions and it works, but that @W#$ popup box continues to show up each and every time I start, every time I log out of the web page, and so on. Since I've fulfilled its requirements, I'd like to get it to STAY GONE and not get in my way.

Ongoing problem with Excel on Macs - it's been around since at least 2004 or earlier. For some reason some of the temporay files don't get deleted when you save.
Re-launching Finder sometimes works, but otherwise restart.
