When I go to a website, it half-way downloads and then the screen freezes for 10-20 seconds while ads appear; this never happened till recently.
Until recently, I loved Firefox. Lately, when I go to any website and try to download a page, the screen freezes for between 10-20 seconds while ads load. Why the screen freezes is both frustrating and annoying. I have the latest version, nothing on my computer is different, and as I said, it didn't used to do this. Any ideas what's going on?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

If you have submitted Breakpad crash reports then post the IDs of one or more Breakpad crash reports (bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx). You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page. You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website.

I have my Yahoo Mail "poped" over to Apple Mail. I can recieve emails but I can't send them out. The blue bar at the bottom left of the Mail page gets half way across and then the pop-up "Cannot send message using the server" comes up? What do I do?
Your outgoing mail server is different than your incoming server. Usually the outgoing mail server will have smtp in it. I noticed yours said "cannot send message using the server mail.wavecable.com". That sounds like an incoming mail server. Try setting your outgoing mail server to smtp.wavecable.com

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List. -
I have a number of books on my Iphone and Ipad some play fine while others start with the introduction and chapter title and then go silent. This has happened on at least five books which used to play fine. Why is this happening and how do I remedy this?

Even does this when not connected to the PC. I have tried a reset.I don't know of one place JUST for this. I usually step people thru it on the WIndows forums so 1) they don't fudge up things even more and 2) sometimes windows wants to be a pain and stuff. There are cases where even in disk mode it will not show, or only show for a second in windows under "My Computer". And in these cases you have to open task manager (Hold altctrldel all together to open it) goto the "Process tab", highlight "iPOdservice.exe" and hit end process. If you have to do this, you will have to restart windows when its done formatting so the "ipodservice.exe" is started again in the background and you can use the ipod updater to restore it -
Why is it that when I am trying to install an adobe product, I get 33% of the way through and then it gives me an error "unable to load metafile"?? It happened with Reader and now with Flash player. I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entries, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.) -
my macbook pro will not boot. It gets the grey screen with the apple until the bar is half way across and then shuts down. The only screen I can get to is in safe mode and I don't know what to do with that

When i plugged my ipod into the computer it started to make buzzing and screeching noises. It became hot so i removed it and then the screen froze while it continued to make these noises. I have never had anything like this happen. (never gotten it wet or had it exposed to extreme temperatures) It is also unresponsive to any buttons on the ipod and it didn't show up when i plugged it into my computer. What do I do? Also if it is unfixable could i get a free one from apple?

Having problems with my iPad after it fell of the bed. When I turn it on there is a red backlight, then the screen comes on. Even then the page does not look right. Images are distorted and there are patches of red in the images. What does this mean? Can the problem be rectified?
I would take it to the Apple store but some people have been having luck holding their iPad upside down and smacking it on it's back. Be careful, good luck.
