When I go to hotmail.com the website comes on fine, to the right it says loading messenger friends, it stays like that for a min. then a page full of words come on screen like programing info. I have no problem with IE or Google Chrome

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
* Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I would reinstall iOS 7.
Open iTunes (11.1 or later) on your computer and plug your iPhone into your computer.
Sync your iPhone with iTunes.
Click on your iPhone device and from the Summary Tab, Back up using iCloud and/or iTunes.
On your iPhone, open Settings/iCloud and turn off Find My Phone.
In iTunes, click on the Restore button on the Summary tab next to Check for Updates.
iTunes will completely wipe your phone and reinstall iOS 7.
Setup your iPhone as new and restore from your back up.
Check to see if the iTunes app is functioning correctly and not closing on you.
I did this last night when setting Limit Ad Tracking kept closing Settings and taking me back to the Home screen. After reinstalling iOS 7, the issue went away.

In itune did you play any of the songs downloaded. If so plug your ipod back in an manualy check off to sync all music. If that doesn't work you might have to restore the ipod.

Where are you trying to log in? You should be able to change your ID at http://appleid.apple.com - can you log in there?
Before you change your ID you should log out of the iTunes Store and on any devices which are logged into iCloud. Then once you've changed it you can log back in with the new ID. (Your iCloud synced data will disappear from the device when you do this but will reappear when you sign back in - give it time).
If you are unable to sign into http://appleid.apple.com you will need to contact Support. Go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com . I have a Mac mini running the latest version of OS X and Server. Been running fine and flawlessly. However, I had a strange problem with the iCloud preferences panel crashing when I tried to access it, so I rebooted. Now I can not log into the system with any accounts. My master admin account (along with all the others) gives me the error:

I am able to see the server from other macs and I can log into it using the same account, but it only shows me a few of the shared folders I have access to but NOT to my main directories.
Rebooting into Command-R and doing a disk utility, I try and repair permission on that drive and get a bunch of errors like:

Repaired "Users"
ACL found but not expected on Users/.localized
Repaired "Users/.localized"
ACL found but not expected on Users/Shared
Repaired "Users/shared"
ACL found but not expected on Users/Shared/.localized

But rebooting is no joy...same problem. Any idea what is going on or how to repair it? Should I do a time machine restore? Complete new OS X install? Any idea what is causing this or how to salvage it?

Got everything to re-install and it worked fine...for a few hours. Then I came in to find ALL of my network users deleted. Just GONE. Then found out the Open Directory was trashed and was unable to open, recover or restore from a backup. Looks like I may have a bad drive here.
I installed a new drive in the system, re-installed and so far (for a couple of hours anyway) the system seems to be working and stable.

Stick the 10.6 disk into the machine and reboot holding the option/alt key down on a wired/built in keyboard.

I am afraid all apps are tied to the Apple ID they are purchased with and are not transferable.

I've experienced this too, it always seems to be caused by flash content. Mine happens intermitently so haven't really found a solution. Are all your plug-ins up-to-date? And are you running any sort of ad-blocker?

Using USB NI-6008 on LV7.1 the results data has to be in Excel. It looks as cluster data format that i can not insert into excel VI

I am Using USB 6008 with LV 7.1. The application is voltage logger and i would like to use excel and upload the data . The Columns will be the channels and the rows will be the data.
The data comes from the DAQmx vi not like a simple string or an number it is kind of cluster data
which contains strings and numbers and more for each measurement.
I tryed to work with spraedshit and it goes ok but it is not conveniant to convert later to excel.
Do you have a solution for that please?
(How to extract the data from the cluster type format that is used with USB6008).

I hope all is well. If you are trying to write data to a text file along with the header information, you could do the following:
1. Open a reference to a file and write the header information right away.
2. Do your continuous acquisition (in a loop) using the 6008 and write the data to a file everytime.
3. With the proper formatting, your colums will represent channels and your rows data.
Please take a look at the attached example and let me know if you have any other questions.

Final Cut X brings up interface and then says loading compressor and then the computer hangs.

Final Cut X hangs the computer (G5 with 6 terabytes of disk and on san network using optical cable). The interface appears, a loading compressor message appears, and several minutes later FCX not responding can be seen on the force quit panel. The operating system has been reloaded and all references to Final Cut Studio have been removed. Just for reference Microsoft Office 11 behaves similarly, although 08 works.

I also think you could do a process of elimination thing here to isolate the problem as eddy is suggesting. But it does seem as if the usual suspects are not the suspect here for your situation. Sorry I could not be of more assistance. I think the reload of the apps is a great place to start. Then, as Eddy says, move your projects and events to a hidden location in a folder somewhere. Then simply make a Final Cut Projects folder and a Final Cut Events folder either in your system drive's Movies folder or at the top level of an attached external drive. Then copy just one of your events folders from the previous set to the newly created Final Cut Events folder. Then see if you can get into the application. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you. Sorry.

I believe you have a failing GPU (aka Video Card). Run AHT and see what it tells you. Do not be afraid to run it up to three times in succession if at first it does not detect an error (sometimes errors that are caused by overheating will not show up until the computer is stressed enough - repeating AHT will do that).
As an aside - the MBA was not designed to take the place of a desktop. If you are powering your MBA by leaving it permanently attached to the thunderbolt port on the monitor you are shortening your battery life.

I tried "Copy" and paste but it doesn't work. I tried "Share" with Airdrop and iChat, but the file is inaccessible. When i try to rename the file, it says the filename is too long.
When I try to open it, it says the alias is not good, and asks if I want to fix the alias. I'm afraid to do that and lose all access to this document.
Right now, it feels like a ghost document - it is on the computer intact, but it is in an undisclosed location and inaccessible.
Please help!!

I was able to resolve this by repairing permissions, even though no permissions error was listed specifically for that file.
I could also have recovered it through Time Machine, but I'm interested in knowing how not to have this happen again!
I was afraid of rebooting and possibly losing track even of the ghost.
I did not try EasyFind - I'll keep that in mind next time.
