If I want to print something, I open up the File name on the tool bar and press print preview. Instead of showing me the print subject, it goes to a Pogo site page. I can never get to the print preview. When I use Internet Explorer it works fine. It used to work o.k. before. It seems (but I'm not sure) that when I downloaded the latest version of Firefox is when I started having this problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is interfering otherwise.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

If Safari crashes on launch and you don't have another web browser, you should be able to launch Safari by starting up in safe mode.
You may have installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those.
After removing the malware, remember to reset your home page in all the web browsers affected, if it was changed.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.

I am unable to print only the first few lines of an e-mail. Also, it will then print in a very small type and will also include extraneous information on the screen that are not part of the e-mail. Is there anything I can do about this annoying problem?

I can only print the first few lines of an e-mail, even when it is on "Full View" on my screen. Moreover, it prints with very small print that is hard to read and also contains additional material on the screen that is not part of the e-mail.

I talked to Adobe Support tonight and found this issue to be a known problem with some of the Adobe Cloud products when using older hardware, in this case the C782.
So, we found a workaround. Unfortunately the work around isn’t efficient and adds more steps to their normal printing routine
Open InDesign and create, modify delete the card
Select FileàExport
A window will appear. Pick the location you wish to save the file
Once the File is saved another window will appear
“EXPORT Adobe PDF”
An Export to Adobe PDF window will appear. Accept all defaults. MAKE CERTAIN “VIEW PDF
After EXPORTING” is CHECKED
Select Export
Once EXPORT is complete the file will open automatically in Adobe Acrobat
Most likely the screen will be very large
Select the + - sign at the top of the page to adjust the page size to view the image
Select FileàPrint
The Print window will appear
Select the printer from the drop down
# of COPIES is just below Printer
Select OK

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.

What system did the Mac come with and what system are you running now? If it's 2 years old, i.e. bought in 2010 then it came with Leaport or Snow Leopard installed and would have had install disks. Included in those disk would be a disk similar to one of these:
That would have included iPhoto 8 (09) if bought before October 20, 2010 or iPhoto 9 (11) if bought after that date. In either case you should have a disk like in the screenshot. If not then you'll have to purchase an iLIfe 11 boxed disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com: iLife 11 and install your missing applications from it and then apply the latest updaters from the Apple Downloads web page/

Print Preview shows items that have been deleted?

Hello folks.
This is a weird problem a switcher friend of mine is having.
Let's say they have three events on the 12th. They choose to print the month view of their iCal window. In the Print preview on iCal (where you can select all kinds of options for printing, like the size of the text, which calendars to print, etc) all sorts of events and appointments show up on the 12th that have been deleted or no longer exist.
I tried reimporting the calendars, deleting the iCal cache, etc.
Does anybody know a workaround for this? I am thinking this is a bug, but wanted to see if anybody else has seen this.
This is on a 2.1 G5 iMac with all updates and no hacks.

Clicking sound when I press the top of screen near the front camera.

I bought an iphone 6 plus 3 weeks ago and after I used 7days, I found when I press the top of screen, I can hear something like clicking. Then I contact Apple and sent it back. After 1 week, they returned it back and said there was no problem. After I received it, I didn't even activate it, just pressed, the sound was back. Not only this, they made a deep scratch on the left top of back. I was so angry and I contacted them again and took a video. They told me to send it to apple support again. And today, they emailed me, said this is a normal behavior for iphone 6 and 6 plus, I will receive it tomorrow. It really xxxxed me. What can I do now? No way to express replacement, no way to repair. Please help me out, guys!!!!!

It is hard to tell from your description if you have a real defect. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of your local Apple store and discuss/show it to them.

You can try a system reinstall:
Reinstalling Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. I can tell you that this is some of the absolutely worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I found out from a store employee that when they are really busy with calls, they have third party companies taking overflow calls. One of those companies is Xerox. What can a Xerox call center rep possibly be able to authorize on a Verizon account? I'm Sure there is a ton of misinformation out there due to this. They don't note the accounts properly or so everyone can see them. I have been transferred before and have asked if they work for Verizon or a third party also and was refused an answer so, apparently they aren't required to disclose that information. I spent a long time in the store on my last visit and it's not just customers that get the runaround. It happens to the store employees as well and it's beyond frustrating.

Not that I'm aware of. You just export JPEG copies to a folder that you can point iTunes to. For instance, I have created a folder in my Pictures folder called Apple TV. And within that folder I have other folders of pictures that I can choose from in iTunes to share with Apple TV. But there doesn't seem to be any way to share a Lightroom slideshow. If you have laid to create a video file that would probably work. Apple TV is a little clunky in my opinion. Some things are a little more difficult to do now than they were a while back. I probably haven't provided you with much help, but just keep experimenting and I think you will figure it out.

Did you use iTunes to sync those photos onto your device? If so then the only way to get them off is to use iTunes to sync them off.
When you sync them on you choose a folder and say 'put all the photos in here on my iPad', so to take them off you need to deselect that folder or remove photos from that folder and sync to take them off.

Hi, thanks for tying to solw my problem. I found that I have set up 3 defferent keys to start defferent programs. I have assigned capitol "c" for start a gmail massege, "r" dose not do anything, and shift plus "g" also starts the gmail to creat masege.
I just do not remember where I did it in sys window I tried all the icons and no luck.
If you would know where to find the coresponding program to change it back please let me know.
