When I print a web page, the font size is always the default (which is good for screen reading, but too big for printing), even when I use Text Zoom to make it smaller.

How can I change the font size when printing web pages?

When you zoom in, it is like using a magnifying glass - the underlying image remains unchanged, as you have found out.
You may be able to enlarge the bird to some extent without distortion and without pixilation by resampling.
Go image menu>resize>image size. Be sure that "constrain proportions " is checked in the dialog.

  • The desktop screen is physically too big for my computer screen.

My Macbook Pro Screen is physically too large for the computer screen. The menu bar is too long for the screen.  I am running OS X Yosemite on a Retina, 13-inch, Early  2013

Thank you very much for your CORRECT ANSWER to my specific problem.  It worked!  I repeated the command sequence and it returned my screen to "over-sized" so I must have inadvertently input that sequence without knowing it.  The 3rd repetition returned my screen to the normal size.  Thus, what is the purpose of that command and where should a knowledgeable person looked to find the answer?
I sincerely appreciate your assistance—have a Happy New Year and a great day!

  • My contacts list is in very large font, how do I make it smaller.  I've tried the settings and it doesn't matter what size I choose for the font, it's always the same large font.

How do I make my contacts list in a smaller font?  I've tried to change under settings but it never does change.  This is my first iPhone - hopefully it won't be my last, but too many frustations might cause me to turn this darn thing in!

You have zoom turned on in Settings - General - Accessibility
Tap the screen twice with three fingers to get it back to its original resolution

My kids have played around with my computer & the display is now so large that it doesn't fit on the screen so I can only see the top or bottom if I move the mouse there, how do I get it so it all fits back in it's fixed screen?

Go to System Preferences/Universal Access/Seeing to turn it off!

  • When printing a web page the type is spaced out all over the page, why?

when I try and print a web page out on firefox it spreads the words out all over the page so it is unreadable. I never had this problem until recently.

This is a regression that was introduced in Firefox 4.0 beta 12. It is fixed in 4.0 release candidate 1, which is now available. Go here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/4.0rc1/releasenotes/ and click on the green button "Firefox 4 rc free download". Note that you should do a custom install and change the install directory to the directory where your beta version is located. Alternatively, you should receive a notification that an update is available from within the beta version. Follow the instructions to download and install the update, and once you are running the release candidate, your printing problem should be fixed.

  • EVERYTHING is too small in Thunderbird. How do I increase the font size of everything!

It's ridiculous that Thunderbird requires an "add on" download to enable making the font size larger on EVERYTHING in the Thunderbird email program. What is Thunderbird thinking making everything so small you can barely see it?!
There has got to be a better way!!!
Please increase the size of the fonts on your program. (I know I can change the fonts and type style on outgoing emails. That's not the problem I want EVERYTHING LARGER! I want to see what I type in a message the same as my recipient will read it!

Zenos, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I have read those same comments before. In my mind, there shouldn't be an "add on" necessary to change the font size type of the entire interface of Thunderbird if desired. And to have to write "css code?" --- that's ridiculous!
No, I don't care what font and style my RECIPIENTS view my emails --- that's their prerogative. What I want to change is how I see everything on Thunderbird, from the interface to what I'm typing in an email. The font in Thunderbird for everything is so small it's ridiculous, and to not be able to change it is awful. What was/is Mozilla thinking?!
I may just totally bail on Thunderbird for this reason (I was an old Eudora user). With all the complaints I notice, I would think Mozilla would fix this problem in Thunderbird and add the capability to change how the interface is viewed in the Thunderbird program without needing "add ons." I am wary of downloading add-ons since several users have complained about conflicts in other areas of their computer usage.
So here's my plea to Mozilla --- Please fix this problem and make your Thunderbird email interface with larger default fonts!!!

  • Can the font size in Itunes Help files be increased? The font size is way to small to... 4pt!

    Itumes for Windows 10.6
    Windows 7 x 64
Is there a way to increase the font size displayed in the Itunes Help files? The size seems to be < 4pt and very difficult to read. Please advise.

Sometimes this can be altered by going inside the "plist" for the project and making specific changes. It is beyond my scope, but someone on these forums should be talented enough to suss it out.

  • Web Gallery Template Font Size Adjustment

When I am in the Web module and using one of the templates (Flash or HTML), I would like to be able to adjust the font size of all the text used for the titles, headings, captions, etc. In general, I find the default font sizes too small, especially on the Flash templates.

    Hi Swapna
    Try following:
    1. Test with standard Survey component. You can do this by removing assignment of enhancement set to a client.
Use transaction SM30. Open table BSPWDV_EHSET_ASG to remove assignment. Now the standard component should be picked up during survey processing in Web UI.
    2. If the standard survey component is also not showing the note effect then you can check if the note is applied properly. There are some manual steps in the note which are normally overlooked.
After applying the note the font size from the 'htmlb' tags will overwritten by a fixed font size specified in a css file(htmlb_style.css).
After Applying the note please verify whether the htmlb_style.css is also imported. This can be done by the following steps
1.Goto Transaction Se80, and then go to Repository browser.
2.Select 'BSP application' from dropdown and the application as SVY_H.
3.Expand the Mime folder. Here the file 'htmlb_style.css' must be present.
4.Place the cursor on the 'htmlb_style.css' right click and select display from the menu. This would show the file with new font sizes.
    3. There is one more note from where you can download the latest css file(htmlb_style.css).
Note 1356414 - Text gets cut off for long surveys
    Hope this helps

  • How to change the font size of text element?

    Hi Experts,
The font size shows in the view is too small, is there any way to make it bigger?
    Thanks for your time!
    Anna

    Hi Anna,
depending on the UI element there are a range of ways. (and I'm sure people will post plenty of answers to tell you how).
However, if generically the fonts in you portal/wd applications are too small, you should consider changing your theme so as to have larger texts. Otherwise you will either need to customise all your applications, or you will get quite a lot of inconsistency of presentation between your various WDA applications.
Do a search on "themes for Web Dynpro ABAP" and you'll find loads of resources.
    Hope this helps,
    Cheers,
    Chris

  • Changing the font size does not work with Textarea with HTML Editor

If you change the font size in the text area of a "Textarea with HTML Editor" item it does not work. I've searched the forum and the only solution I've seen is to use an HTML editor foriegn to APEX. Does anyone have a better solution? Thanks, Elizabeth

I'm having a similar issue except with HTML Editor Standard.
What I'm doing is allow someone to write to an HTML Editor Standard field and then an HTML marked up text is saved to a db CLOB column. In another page, I reference this DB column and show it in an HTML Region (I do a computation Before Regions for a hidden item that writes out the html with "htp.p")
Everything shows up fine EXCEPT the font tags and headings. I'm finding that the HTML Region sets the font size only with the < d i v s t y l e="font-size: large" >and NOT < f o n t size:6 >. When the HTML Editor renders the user's text input, any size changes are made with the < f o n t > tag, which is depreciated anyways, and not with "style". That's why the size is not showing up.
I can't really figure out why the headings aren't showing up except maybe the css style in the region is overridding it...
    Is there another APEX item type like HTML Editor (which uses FCKEditor) that I can use, or maybe another approach to remedy this issue? Or maybe this post calls for an enhancement with the HTML Editor?{size}{size}

  • How to increase the font size in the safari tool bar

    Hello,
I am trying to set-up Yosemite for my mom who is a senior.  The toolbar and address bar for safari seem to be quite small.  Does anyone know how to increase the font size in the tool bar and address bar?  I already figured out to make the font size bigger on a webpage which is nice but the rest of the interface, though pleasing to look at, is quite miniscule.
    Hope someone can help.

I too would like an easier way to do it. The only way that I have found  (& it works for all applications, desktops Document & Download files) is to decrease the size of your Screen display from 2560 by 1440 ( this is your "Default for display") to 1920 by 1080. This is accomplished by going to "Accessibility Preferences" in your menu bar or through Systems  Preferences and choosing the DISPLAY icon, then unchecking the "Default for Display" Setting and then check "Scaled".
Your screen resolutions will then appear in the drop down box & you can choose a smaller display (e.g. 1920 x 1440), then all print will appear larger on the screen.
If anyone knows a slicker way, I 'm all ears (actually "eyes" would be more appropriate.
    I hope this helps you.
