When I try to delete my current installation of firefox or install new one it always leads me back to the same place, telling me i need to restart computer to install upgrade, but does nothing, how do i get new installation?

I have windows 7. When i recently installed windows updates I began having script errors for firefox and my weatherchannel programs. I went to control panel, programs and features and tried to delete these 2 programs to install new ones. It seems like the programs didnt compeletly uninstall because they are still listed in my programs but have no file size. I downloaded latest version of firefox but it wont install. It tells me i need to restart computer to install a previous upgrade. I do that and nothing happens. I keep going around in circles.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You could simply ensure that only the numbers and addresses you wish to use on each device are checked at Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. However this isn’t an ideal solution because the other person can always change these settings from their device and have some fun with you and your contacts.
You’d be far better getting them to delete your account from their device and have them create one of their own. If you are sharing an ID for some other service such as iTunes, you can continue to do so, you only need change the ID for messages.

My iphone will not set up as a new iphone and it constantly goes back to the same screen when hit set up as new iphone how to fix this?

I just updated to 6.1.3 not knowing that i would ahve to completley reset my iphone because i did this while jailbroken, wanted to get rid of it anway but not when i try to set up my idevice as a new iphone via itunes it doesnt do anything i click on it and it takes me to my music and does nothing i click on the iphone thing and it takes me back o the same screen asking do i want restore or set up as new ihpone i have tried both and they do the same thing which is nothing. i even tried to reset it again by putting it in dfu mode nothing is working.... Firefox stuck in endless loop asking to restart to finish previous update but does nothing. Can uninstall or install newer version over it. I believe the setup files were erased before reboot by another installer. How do i fix this?

Anything i try related to firefix gets "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox" I have tried rebooting no luck, i have tired uninstalling from add remove programs or installing 4.0 over it. At the time I was try to upgrade from 3.0 to 3.6.15. I tried searching for the xpicleanup.dat file but no luck there.

I was having the same problem, so I deleted 'firefox.exe.moz-upgrade' from 'C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox' directory, as recommended. My wireless router in my home has failed. I purchased a new router, but it will not allow some of the characters which I used for my old password. Therefore I cannot access the internet with my ipad mini or my ipod touch. I am unable to change the password on either device. My vertical column of bookmarks down the left side of my screen has disappeared and I need to find a way to get it back in the same place.

This is purely a lay-out issue. We used to be able to choose to permanently display our bookmarks vertically down the left side of the screen, and I want to continue to be able to do so. My bookmarks are not lost; I know they are in my library. But the system doesn't seems to allow me to leave them on permanently down the left side. Please help. I have Windows 7 64-bit and the latest version ofFirefox.

Do you mean that the bookmarks sidebar (View > Sidebar > Bookmarks) gets disabled?

Currently running Mozilla 3.6.8 and have been unable to install any updated versions. Getting error message 'need to restart computer to install an earlier version'. Restart, shut down does nothing for the issue. Now all the way up to 4.0.(4) and getting the same error message. Down load works fine, then will not install. Tried shut down of firewall and no go.

IWeb '09 crashes when I try to delete page.

Using iWeb '09. Have one website page I cannot open or delete. If I highlight it and press delete ket, or use edit, iWeb crashes. I can relaunch, but cannot delete this page. All other pages act normally. Help?

I tried your suggestion and was unable to delete the page. The program crashed as before. I tried a second time, and - Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist - was back in the same place. I deleted it a second time, followed directions re restarting and running Disk Utility to repair permissions, and when I attempted to delete the web page, the program crashed again.
Thanks for your input. Any other ideas? I have a hours of work invested that I would like not to lose.

It keeps changing the browser window, some programs in one window, others in another. How do I get everything back on the same window? I want this disabled but not sure how to do it, or how I even got it started.

I'm not even sure what to call this or how it got started on my computer. There is one finder window for firefox, and another for other programs etc. I want them all back in the same finder window, please! What feature is this which got things split up, and how do I disable it?

The Get Info. fields show up gray if the files is locked and iTunes knows it can't edit the file. Make sure the files are not marked as read only and, if necessary grant both your account and system full access to all files and subfolders of your media folder.
You can set Part of a Compilation for multiple tracks from the Options tab of Get Info.

App data is not backed up through Game Center, but rather through iCloud. If you have an iCloud backup and you get a new iPod, after your games redownload from the Internet all data within the apps should be preserved.
