When i try to update or re-download itunes

when i try to update or  re load itunes /it tells me Mobil failed to start and asks if i have "sufficient privileges"???

Please read Scott-texas' post here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/24068075#24068075 and the preceding thread for background. I can't promise that it is the solution but it looks hopeful. The gist of it is, when the iTunes installation completes and says that it has installed successfully untick the Run Now check box before clicking OK.
After install, a window pops up saying Itunes installed correctly. Theres a checkbox to RUN IT NOW that is checked by default.. THIS IS THE PROBLEM  It tries to force itunes to run before you accept the EULA.. Uncheck the RUN NOW box and click done or ok.. and immediately, the EULA pops up.. Accept it and then run itunes from the desktop shortcut and it should work perfectly!
Would you be so kind as to have another go at the repair, not forgetting to untick the Run Now check box at the end of the install before clicking OK.
Fingers crossed that it works for you...
