When I turn on my imac and open 'Safari' it takes me to a gray page; it's the 'favorites'page. I can't get it off the screen and go to my home page to use the internet. I can't use my computer. I was just in the Apple store in baton rouge, la. today, but unfortunately, I can't reach them by phone for help
Force Quit .
Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time.
Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select Safari, if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window.
Wait.
Application will quit.
If this does not help, press the power button for 7 or more seconds.
Computer will shut down.
Restart.
Hold the shift key down and launch Safari.

Lately, when I take a picture with my iPhone or try to save one from the internet, it acts like it saves it, but when I go to my Photo Album, it doesn't show up. Also, if I try to take a picture through an app, the app just crashes. What do I do to fix this?
It definitely shouldn't be that slow, are you using the stock camera? what mode are you using it in? what other settings do you have setup? try downloading another camera like "a better camera" or any other free one and see if it behaves the same. If it does that tells me that either the lens is really dirty or the hardware may have an issue. Make sure the lens is clean then try either a restart or power down and battery pull and see if that solves anything.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Do you have access to another computer so you could download another browser, perhaps onto a USB stick and then install it on your Mac just to see if the problem is Safari specific:

Using Mac 0S X Yosemite, in Print Setting when I select layout / arrows select print settings / there is no Basic drop down box to set color management on or off. I'm using Artisan 835 printer.
No - I got the iMac 27 because it was calibrated at the factory(?) and was highly recommended by friends and photographers. No complaints at all, but this printer issue is driving me crazy. I was thinking that if I upgraded to an epson pro printer ICC profile will be on there website. I can't find any for the 835. By the way I didn't calibrate the old dell monitor either and I have had several photos published with no problem at all. Just a note, on epson website there are no printer stating they will run with 10.10 Yosemite. I was looking at the R2000 series. Right now I editing photos that I have to have ready by Jan, maybe by then epson will have something ready.

There is your problem. DVDs that ship with a Mac are machine specific. You will need to purchase a retail copy of the DVD $29.

Intermittently, when I try to enter the internet through Safari on my Imac, it freezes up so that the loading line only goes 1/3 way across and then stops. If I shut down the computer and then restart, it usually loads fine. I have had my internet provider check eveything form their end and it is fine. I suspect that I have a software conflict. My provider and others have said that I should use FireFox because Safari is not that stable. I am running OSX Maverick on my system. This was a recent download. Is anyone else having this problem and have you any ideas how I can correct it.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem. The backup is necessary on principle, not because of anything suggested in this comment. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Then click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately, leaving the Terminal window empty. If that doesn't happen, press the return key.
