Deleting storage locations feom WM.

Hi experts.
I need remove some storage locations from WM. In SPRO Logistics Execution > Warehouse Management > Master Data path.
In the DEFINE STORAGE TYPES , I tried deleted a line item I got the message :
Deletion not possible because there is still master data in stor.type XXX XXX
The message checks the LAGP table. There's one rows.
What's do I suppose to do?

There's still rows into LAGP table. I don't know where edit this line.
The message error check this table, Even deleting some data in customizing WM I cant delete these rows.
Anybody knows how can I deleting it?

no its not working
Why? If you mark the material master for deletion at the proper organisational level it should work. You can set the related message as warning or error.
remarks:
You can not delete the extension of your material master trough MM06, it is just for marking the material master with DF. If you want to get rid of that view (extension), you have to archive the material master and then recreate - I wouldn't suggest this.
The title of your thread is "Delete Storage Location" but this doesn't cover your question, to delete a SLoc is totally different from this.
Please also be aware of the fact that if your material master is not extended for a SLoc, the view can be created automatically during posting the material to that SLoc, based on your settings...

Material Master Record - How to remove or delete storage location

Dear all,
Is there a way to remove or delete a storage location accidentally extended via MM01 due to extending the general plant view?
I've tried the following:
1. I've used MM06 to flag the particular storage lcoation for deletion. However, when go to MM02 and select the plant view, the storage location that already been flag still exist for selection. I only get the warning prompt "The storage location has been flag for deletion".
2. I tried MMSC attempt to delete and I get either messages with different material master record:
a) "Material not fully maintained for this transaction/event"
OR
b) "Storage location 60BF already exists and cannot be deleted"
P/S: If this question has been asked before by others, please point me to that thread.

I've gone through the data archiving project in the past. I was actually hoping I don't have to go through this big exercise for this minor situation.
The storage locations in the SAP system are fine. The problem is that when I came in to this organization, I found out that the procurement users have accidentally extended material master record to those storage location irrelevant to them. Those users don't post any stock to those accidentally extended storage location. They admit that it was a mistake. So, I don't really have to do stock movement or GI out from those affected storage location because there's nothing in them.
Now that I've initially flag for deletion (MM06) of those mistakes done by those procurement users over the few years counting to 2000+ material master records affected. But the standard behavior of the SAP system allows change to proceed in MM02 except for that warning message MM081. So, I was actually asking around to explore if there's actually an option to make it an error prompt instead and stop the whole change process at MM02 transaction level.
If I may re-confirm, what I've done so far via flaging for deletion of material master record at storage location level - is this the only correct solution available?
Hope this clarifies my intention of opening this thread. Sometimes, users are quite tough in accepting the results from standard SAP system behavior.

Stock determination finds deleted storage location

Hello gurus,
we are using stock determination in MIGO for goods receipts to automatically determine the correct storage location for delivered goods.
Now we deleted one storage location and moved all materials stored there to another one.
But still, for certain materials, the stock determination gives the old location. Then, when we try to post the receipt, there is (of course) an error because the storage location has been deleted.
We use only one very simple stock determination strategy with just one item:
Special stock indicator: F (unrestricted-use stock)
Priority indicator: 1
Any ideas, why the old location could be found?

no, I did not remove that item, because it was not even there in the first place.
As I wrote in my OP, there is only one item with
Special stock indicator: F (unrestricted-use stock)
Priority indicator: 1
The storage location is blank!
I never used stock determination before and I know it is normally used for goods issue only, but in this system, there definately is an button called "stock determination" in MIGO for goods receipts. And when I click on it, the system determines a storage location where the material is stored. This works perfectly, except for the materials with blocked locations.

Hi, It is not possible to delete the storage location from MMSC once it is saved, Material gets extended for that storage location, U have to delete the material at the storage location level.
Now the only option to delete this assignment is with archiving.

Storage Location deletion.

When we delete a storage location then the address that we maintain for the same is also get deleted. Is it like that address for the same still lies in some Table even if the Storage Location is deleted.

Please check table name V_T001L for storage location.
In this table storage location and it's address is store.
so when you delete storage location address is also deleted.

When you copy plant all depenent entries and tables get copied.
You can delete storage locations which got copied afterwards.

Today I've closed a storage location belonging to a plant which has many other SL.
To avoid further posting on it, Is it possible to lock it using a way different than authorizations (too many time will be required !!!!)

Material deletion flag at storage location level is not working

I have a material that is created in some plants and also in some storage locations within each plant. If I mark the deletion flag at plant level I am not able to create a PO -> Me051 error message appears. Whereas if I mark the deletion flag at storage location level nothing appens. I am able to create a PO and also to create to goods receipt. Is there any customization that I should do in order to get the error message?

storage location level deletion flag is not checked at order creation.
it is assumed that you can change the storage location when you do the receipt.
MRP run is at plant level, so the requirement is valid even the storage location view is flagged for deletion.

Hi Sumit,
System will allow the stock posting to storage location for which u have set Deletion until it has been achieved.
You can block the storage location of a material without affecting the rest of the location using the same material.
1.Create a Physical Inventory document for the storage location with transaction MI01 by Selecting the Posting Block checkbox.
This would prevent transactions from occuring until you either post or delete the physical inventory document.
or
2. U can create & delete the stoarge loaction at OX09. This will affect the all the material which has assigned to same storage lacation. Normally MM will do this,

MRP requirements (material = "no dispo", storage location deleted)

Good morning,
I have two different problems and hopefully, you can help me.
- I see stock information in MMBE for a storage location I deleted
- MD04 shows requirements for this storage location after it was deleted and the material was set to "no dispo"
How can this be?
I remember a report from SAP, which clear all wrong requirements for a material, but I did not find it. Anyone remeber the report??

If by saying "I deleted the S/L" you mean that you deleted that entity in customization, this is a NONO practice. By deleting it from customization you are not deleting all the database references that exist in many objects (tables) as well, and this leads to inconsistencies that in some cases are not manageable.
I suggest that you you recreate the S/L, name it something like "DELETED-DO NOT USE", and gradually make sure that all references (like in your example stock, requirements, etc.) are gone.

Deleting the storage location

Hi,
Can some one tell me how to delete the storage location. The situation is like this:
Sales order has been created for three different materials for a particular customer for a sales area.
When out bound delivery was created for this order for one of the material a storage location was automatically selected. But when i check the sales order for the same material storage location was not picked.
But the problem is that material is a non stock item and no storage location was maintined in the plant for that materil.
And without doing the PGI shipment was created and subsequently shipment cost document as well. Then finally service acceptance has been done and invoice reciept is completed.
Basically the material is RMC which is not a stock iteem.
So now we want to create the PGI for the outbound delivery or delete the storage location for that material from the out bound delivery.
Please explain the process in detail.

We are going to extend the materials in plant A to plant B and C. So we will extend it using LSMW. After extending, we need to delete the materials in plant A and storage location in plant A. How can we do that? Please explain step by step.

find MARD-LVORM
Execute (F8)
Enter list of materials
Enter plant
enter storage location.
tick the field lvorm(carry out mass change)

If you have Stock in that 3 Storage Locations then First you Transfer the Stock (Should be nil) into another Storage Locations and Delete the Storage Locations in Trxn code OX09
If you have Extended / Created Material to that Storage Location then Set the Deletion Flag using MM06 at Stor Locn Level & save.
You can Perform the Stock Transfer using MB1B / MIGO 311 Movement type.

Our client has some project site where central warehosue willdeliver the material. These project sites can be created as storage location sfor delivery address purpose. After the project is completed nobdo should pick this storage location as delivery address. What options do we have ?
1) Delete the storage location OR
2) We have any option of blocking this location for delivery?

You should not really delete the storage location as this will effect existing material documents etc that refer to the location
You probably want to change the description to 'Do not use' and then see if you can restrict further access via the use of Authorisation objects
